INTRODUCTION
 The case study that is to be presented features a patientwho has a type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.We as nurses are involved in learning what type of nursinginterventions we are to apply to this type of patient. Beyondunderstanding the relevant health issue, this case study will alsoexplore other factors that can enhance our knowledge in the fieldof our nursing practice. This is also the primary reason why wechoose this case study because we know that it is highlybeneficial aside from it is being considered distinctive or unique.Included with the case study are the discussions of theanatomical parts, through physical assessment of the patient,laboratory results and their corresponding findings. Added to thiswe also have a discussion of the patient’s daily activities andnursing care plans.
 
OBJECTIVES
General Objectives
 To be able to apply what we have learned theoreticallyat the community and clinical setting and after thatstudy, we can be able to understand this disease moredeeper together with the help of our Clinical Instructorsand community health provider and able to provideoptimum or standard quality care to the patientthrough making of the nursing intervention and healtheducation regimen.
Specific ObjectivesStudent-Nurse Centered:
 To gain knowledge about the disease process,predisposing factors, clinical manifestation and thedisease management.
