Kids Inc. Presents with the

ROBOTS
(K’s & 1st graders)

We hope you love Shel Silverstein because

we’re throwing it our way in the form of two clas-
sic poems, “Homework Machine” and “I’m Being
Eaten By a Boa Constrictor”! We will be build-
ing sets and practicing our lines all week.
There’ll be some theatre games and puppet mak-
ing before we take the stage on Friday for the big
show! Fieldtrips this week will be to the Chil-
dren’s Theatre on Tuesday and Golden Gardens
on Thursday.

We want you, and your creative talents! This week
we will be picking out a poem by Shel Silverstein to per-
form on Friday. The adventures start on Tuesday with a
trip to the Children’s Theatre where our cast and crew
can ask any of the questions to the professionals about
our production. We will be creating props and some cos-
tumes (if necessary) and rehearsing all week, of course.
There are some games to be played and another field
trip that is pure relaxation. So, don't let the stress of
fame wear you out! Act 1, Scene 2. That's a wrap.

After relaxing day in the sun at Golden Gar-

dens on Monday, the Thunderbirds will get down
to business learning the ins and outs of stage per-
formance. Our rendition of Shel Silverstein’s
“Rock and Roll Band” will be full of songs, hi-
larious costumes, over-the-top props and more.
While we’re not breaking a leg, we’ll be learning
about behind-the scenes stagecraft at the Seattle
Children’s Theatre, and building our own sets.

Beach Day/Park Day
Please note the schedule above for Beach and Park
day. Don’t forget to apply that sunscreen before your
child gets here to Kids Inc., and that on all beach and
park days, the kids will be leaving by 9:10 and returning by
3:00 pm.
Washington Administrative Code insists that either all
children have freezer packs in their lunch or we must carry
portable coolers on our fieldtrips. We are asking for your
support. Please make sure that your child has a freezer
pack in their lunch. A frozen water bottle works great.
