We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are
confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum
of life and history there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination
is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and
dejected with a lost opportunity. The 'tide in the aairs of men' does not
remain at the flood; it ebbs. We may cry out desperately for time to
pause in her passage, but time is deaf to every plea and rushes on. Over
the bleached bones and jumbled residue of numerous civilizations are
written the pathetic words: 'Too late. -MLK
"Beyond Vietnam: A time to Break Silence"
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (April 4th, 1967)

Dear Senators and Chiefs of Staff of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources
Committee:
.
Are you ready for $20-$30/bbl oil? Do you understand the risk scenario implications?
.
Are you considering an energy policy that takes into account the impact Oil & Gas
demise would have on the stock markets, retirement funds, peoples life savings, the
economy and social stability?
.
Will CEOs and Boards of Directors exercise their fiduciary duty in the face of debt default,
insolvency and bankruptcy while acting in the National Interest and Public Interest?
.
Please subpoena Oil & Gas executives to explain their financial health and how close to
the brink of financial disaster they are with the price of oil threatening to decline further.
.
Sincerely yours,
.
