Sabit lived at the edge of the forest. Every day, he went into the forest to collect
herbs to sell. One day, he heard a squawk. It came in the direction of a clump of tall
trees. He walked towards the trees and saw a beautiful bird on the ground. A fox was
about to pounce on it. The bird could not fly away because one of its wings was broken.
Sabit threw his knife at the fox and it ran off.

He took the bird home. He bandaged the broken wing and fed the bird. He kept
it in a cage. After a few weeks, the wing was mended, so Sabit set the bird free.

That night, Sabit had a dream. A fairy spoke to him. She said that she was the
bird that Sabit had saved. She thanked him and told him that he would be rewarded for
his kind deed. The next morning, a rich woman came to the market and gave him a large
sum of money for his herbs. She told Sabit to deliver herbs to her every day and he
would be paid well.
