Summary Of The Story

Suddenly, Gandulan village became crowded. Many big trucks from the city came
to this beautiful village. Handoko, a technical high school student, was very
shocked to see this view in his hometown. During the holiday in his hometown, he
only saw the new activities of his father: making bricks. He didn’t go to the rice
field anymore.

Handoko didn’t agree with his father new job. But he can’t stop it. He can’t stop
his brother, Teguh, a sixth grade of elementary school student, from being go to
the town to deliver the bricks. Nowadays, children in his hometown prefer going
to the town to deliver bricks than playing football and helping their parents in the
rice fields.

Because the land in the village was used to make bricks, there were many big
holes in the land. When the rain fell heavily, some tragedies were happened.
Teguh and Durmin that wanted to make handicraft as an assignment from Mrs.
Astuti, fell down with the big tree that they climbed. Beside that, another big tree
fell and hit the truck. The land that was used to make bricks was collapsed

Finally, Handoko suggested to cover the hole in the land with trashes that can
make the land became fertile again. On Sunday, the villager worked very hard to
make their village’s land become fertile again. The children helped their parents
too. So that in the future, the village will become a green village that always
peaceful, beautiful, and fertile.

After the tragedies that happened because of the villager’s new job, the villager
were going back to their rice field that they have left for a long time. Especially
now is the Rainy season, so villager will come to their own rice field more often
than usual. When the dry season came, the villager can make bricks without
destroying their own village land.

Handoko came to his hometown to enjoy his holiday. But when he arrived, he saw
a very strange situation. The villager job was making bricks and delivering it to the
town with trucks. But a long time ago, the villager used to work as a farmer.

Many tragedies happened because of the unfertile land that was used to make
bricks

3. Resolution

The villager covered the hole in the land with trashes so that the land can became
fertile again like before it was used to make bricks. The villager job is making
bricks in the dry season and farming in the rainy season
