Dear families,

Welcome to the fourth grade! I am excited to have both you and

your child be apart of our 402 family! My name is Ms. Randall.
This my first-year teaching 4th grade at _____ elementary school. I
graduated from Dakota State University this past December with a
degree in Elementary education and special education and am
eager to begin my teaching career with your students! If at any
time you have questions or just wish to talk with me, please feel
free to contact me. I am usually available before and after school.

As well as these forms of communication I will also be using a class website to post news,
upcoming events, students work, and other information. This is a secure website that can only
be viewed parents, students, and myself. It can be found at Msrandall402class.website.com
enter the password XXXXXX to allow access and then you are good to go! I encourage you to
spend some time looking around and getting use to the site.

Many students have already come to school prepared with the necessary school supplies. A big
thank you to those of you sent them off ready to go! For those of you have not had the chance
to do back to school shopping there is no need to worry we still have a few days before we will
be breaking out the crayons! You can find a complete list of the needed supplies on our website
under the Welcome tab.

This year we will follow the before school routine of students lining up by class on the
playground when the morning bell rings. Students who arrive prior to the morning bell should
go directly to the playground. Once there students should look for an assigned area to leave
backpacks on the playground. There will be a note attached to this letter with your child’s
individual after school routine.

There is some homework being sent home with your students tonight. First is a weekly reading
log I would like you child to begin tonight. They should read for 15-20 minute either to
themselves or you. Once they have completed their reading please sign off on Monday’s box.
This completes log will be due next Monday. The second piece of home work is for you. The
good news is I promise it is not hard. Please head to the class website and complete the google
form so I can better et to know you and your child! Please sign the second page of this letter
and send it back to school with your child tomorrow.
