Supporting the Personal Assistant Workforce:

On Wednesday, 07 February CAIL will be sharing some of the findings from our
Voices4Choice project and some services user perspectives from our wonderful
volunteers at the Skills for Care event – ‘Supporting the Personal Assistant Workforce’.

If you support individuals who employ their own personal assistants through a Direct
Payment, personal health budget or with their own money, come along to this free
event to keep you up to date with latest good practice and to help you network with
other people in the sector.

This event will also be a great opportunity for anyone to find out what Voices4Choices
has been doing.

Get Ready to Volunteer:

CCVS are running four training sessions over January and March to help people into
volunteering.  The workshops has been especially created to support people who are
experiencing isolation, lack of confidence and mental health challenges.

Holocaust Memorial Day ­ The Power of Words:

This year's theme for the Holocaust Memorial Day programme will be The Power of
Words.

Date:  Sunday, 28 January 2018
Time:  4.30pm for a 5.00 pm
Location:  The Guildhall, Market Square, Cambridge, CB2 3QJ

CAIL's own Graham Lewis will be at the event to deliver a presentation on the impact
on people with disability! 

Recreational and Leisure Activities

Stepping Stone:

Stepping stone is about supporting young people and adults with additional needs, to
take part in sport. The aim is to help individuals gain entry to regular sporting activities
as a participant through the provision of information support and/or financial aid. This
will be achieved by working with individuals with additional needs directly or through
supporting sports clubs to become more accessible.
