1. Problems in manual existing system
 Difficult to find specifics category job.
 Applicant must has to fill more than one form to apply for a job which is time
consuming process.
 Face difficulties at the time of form submission.
 Applicants do not know , when does job vacancies offers or last date for apply

2. Objective of online job portal system


I am developing an “online job portal” in which companies register their self on our
platform and post the job and applicant search the job category and find the job
according to their requirements. We will provide number of filters that make it easy to
find specifics job in no time. Applicant can read about the job, salary package etc. and
can apply online. Our system will save the time and reduce the number of errors.

3. Functional requirements
2.1 Admin Panel:
o Employers Management- Add/Delete/Edit Employers.

o Job Seeker Management- Add/Delete/Edit the details of the Job Seekers.

o Job Categories Management- Add, edit, and delete various job

categories.
o Location management - Add/Edit/Remove locations for which jobs can

be posted
o Sponsored AD management- Add/Remove/Activate/Deactivate

advertisements
o Featured and Paid employers- Add/Activate/Deactivate/Remove

Featured jobs and Employers to be displayed on home page with direct


link to employer's job listing.

2.2 Employer’s Panel:
o Job Management- Add/Delete/Edit jobs and jobs applications

o Manage Resume- Browse/View/Bookmark/reject resume of job seekers

o Profile Management- Create/edit/view profile with logo

o Search Resume- By date range, geographic location, industry, Job type

and keywords.

2.3 Job Seeker’s Panel:


o Manage Resume- Submit/View/Edit/Delete Resume

o Manage Account- View or Edit Login id, Password and Profile

o Search Jobs- by Location, Job type (part-time or full-time), Experience,

Salary, Company, Industry, Function or any other keyword and View all
jobs posted by a specific employer
o Manage Jobs-apply for particular Job, Bookmark Job, Save Job and Track

history. Date wise record is maintained for the jobs applied by the job
seekers containing details like company, job profile, and location of job.
o Send to friend functionality for the job offers- email any job to your

friends, they can view the details of the job.


o Multiple Resume- Job seekers may maintain multiple resume. Maximum

of 5 customized resume could be created by job seeker.


o View Company Profiles- Job Seekers can view profiles of different

companies before applying for job in that company.

o Job Alerts – Daily updates for new job filtered by location or type of job

through an e-mail or SMS or both.


o Guide to Resume Building - Display Sample Resume, on-demand

Resume Development and provide valuable suggestions.


o Job Statistics- Management and Employers may find out how often each

job posting has been viewed by job seekers. Graphical representation of


data like resume viewed, jobs applied for etc. can be displayed.
o Calendar functionality- allowing scheduling of events for Employers like

job posted, interview scheduled.


o Visitor Feedback Section- site visitors (Job seekers or Employers) may

leave comment and share their experiences


o Interview guide- helpful tips to face interview, general questions being

asked in interviews and few examples of some real interviews, sharing of


experiences of interviewee.

5. Module wise DEVELOPMENT


Integrated front end theme: We will integrate front end theme in larval frame work.
Admin Module: We will make admin panel in which all the rights will give to the admin
like approve request, delete something and make any changes what he want.

Employers Module: We will make a panel for the employer where he can add, delete,
and update, insert something about the job posts.

Job Seekers Module: Here applicant fill a from to create an account to apply for a job
online.

Email/SMS Module: Applicant will get update on time via email.
