TELANGANA CONGRESS MONITORING GROUP

September 3, 2010

September 3, 2010
Respected Shri PRANAB Daa,
Your kind self headed the UPA-1 Sub-committee on Telangana and you are
fully aware of the ground reality that separate statehood alone can bring
peace in Telangana. By the end of time limit of Justice B. N. Sri Krishna
Committee, the initiation of separation process can alone save the harmony.

Your finance Ministry is completely aware of the fate of findings of Justice

Vashista Bhargava and Auditor Kumar Lalith in 1970s on Telangana
surpluses and on going diversion of funds to other regions.

Nagarjunasagar project, which is supposed to serve both the regions

equally, benefiting other parts more than 70 percent where as
Telangana is getting not even 30 percent. Now, under the aegis of your
Ministry, 4 thousand crore modernization loan was decided, from which
2000 crore rupees will come from World Bank.
Vadarevu thermal project in Prakasham district of other region is to get
6806 crore rupees loan from Power Finance Corporation.
Since Telangana is having unprecedented mass upheaval now and four crore
people of this land are eagerly waiting for the steps by Union Government,
TELANGANA CONGRESS MONITORING GROUP appeals your esteemed
authority to take initiative to assess the assets and liabilities between the
regions and not to encourage such huge loans till separate statehood to
TELANGANA is accorded.
With Warm Regards
