PALADINO: COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS AND DEBATE, ANDREW

(BUFFALO, NY) - After winning the Republican Primary by a landslide last night, Buffalo
businessman Carl Paladino, the Republican candidate for Governor of New York, called
for Democrat candidate Andrew Cuomo to participate in a series of debates on the issues
concerning New Yorkers.

Today Paladino upped the ante. "If a smooth career politician like Andrew Cuomo doesn't have
the courage to debate a businessman from Buffalo, how will he have the courage to take on the
entrenched special interests in Albany," Paladino asked.

"It's been nearly 24 hours since I challenged Andrew to debate and his silence is deafening,"
Paladino said.

"Andrew's arrogance knows no bounds," Paladino said. "He needs to step out of the shadows
and debate because the voters deserve an answer."

Carl Paladino, a successful Western New York real estate developer and attorney, is the
Republican candidate for Governor of New York. In the September 14 Republican Primary,
Paladino presided over an upset win against Republican Rick Lazio, garnering 63 percent of
the final vote to Lazio's mere 37 percent. In addition to earning a mandate for leadership from
Republican Party regulars, Paladino is also running on the new Taxpayers Party ballot line,
which he created by collecting more than 30,000 petition signatures.
