    Tunku Abdul Rahman was Malaysia's first Prime Minister who led the nation to independence from British rule on August 31, 1957. He unified the Malaysian peoples and negotiated with the British to gain independence. Tun Dr. Mahathir was Malaysia's longest serving Prime Minister who modernized the country through various development projects like the Multimedia Super Corridor and Petronas Twin Towers. He envisioned Malaysia becoming a more advanced, knowledge-based economy. Tun Hussein Onn was Malaysia's third Prime Minister known as the "Father of Unity" for fostering multi-racial harmony in Malaysian society. He continued the struggles of UMNO, which he co-founded, to unite the Malaysian peoples.

    1. Tunku Abdul Rahman brought us independence. And he service, contribution


    and struggle for the nation and its people will be forever remembered till the
    end of time.

    2. During the Tunku Abdul Rahman involvement in politics, his many


    contributions to the nation and nation builders negara.He is trying to integrate
    people and the multiracial Malaya against the British government and
    demanded independence for the Land Melayu. By unity of the Malays, he was
    willing to voice their protest against the Malayan Union and attended meetings
    against the Malayan Union in Alor Setar and sacrificed his career to take over
    leadership Teraju UMNO.He any obstacles and challenges in order unity
    country

    3. In 1955 Abdul Rahman made another trip to London to negotiate Malayan


    Independence, and 31 August 1957 was decided as the date for
    Independence. When the British flag was lowered in Kuala Lumpur on
    Independence day, Abdul Rahman led the crowd in announcing "Merdeka!"
    (Independence).

    1. As a person we respect him as a "Father of Modernization".

    2. The idea to initiate this institute was formulated at the 54 th UMNO Delegates
    Meeting on June 19th, 2003. The think tank comprising prominent experts was
    subsequently formed. The group met on August 28 th, 2003 in Kuala Lumpur. It
    also responsible for examining and analyzing ideas that could be espoused by
    the present and the future generations. The initiation of this institute is also a
    move towards honoring the efforts of the nation's leaders.

    3. Dr. Mahathir had a far sighted vision on where he wanted to take the people
    and nation in terms of a more meaningful mindset and lifestyle. Thus he
    developed the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) based on Silicon Valley in
    Sepang designed to enable Malaysia's foray into Information Technology (IT).
    Since stepping down Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has been made Advisor to
    Petrolium National Berhad (PERTONAS), Perusahaan Otomobil National
    Berhad (PROTON), Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), Tioman
    Development Authority (TDA). On the 1st of April 2004, Tun was appointed
    Chancellor of University Technology PETRONAS. There are so many
    landmarks that were his ideas in developing the country such as the Kuala
    Lumpur Tower, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Petronas Twin
    Towers and the proudest of all PUTRAJAYA, Cyberjaya and the Formula 1
    circuit.
