Revelation 3:14 (Jesus) the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the
beginning of the creation of God;
Jesus was with God before all creation existed. Proverbs the eighth
chapter gives us a perfect description of the relationship between
the Father and the Son.
1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Christ is the wisdom and power of God. Christ is the wisdom that
we read about in Proverbs the eighth chapter. So far we’ve read
that Jesus is the ‘, the beginning of the creation of God’ and
‘When he (God) prepared the heavens, I (Jesus) was there’. Let’s
look at some more scriptures that confirm this.
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him (Jesus the Word
a.k.a. Wisdom) was not any thing made that was made.
This is another revealing scripture. The Word ‘was with God’, ‘the
same was in the beginning with God’. It could not be more evident.
In verse three it says ‘all things were made by him’ the Word.
‘And without him (Jesus) was not anything made that was made’.
John goes on to state, who the Word is, in verse fourteen of the
first chapter of the gospel of John.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Word was made flesh in the person of Jesus. Notice that Jesus
is the ONLY begotten of the Father. Only means only, Only
begotten means, ‘single of its kind’. Let’s look at another scripture.
Hebrews the first chapter also tells us that Jesus is the express
image of His (God the Fathers) person.
This is why when Jesus, was asked by his disciple Philip, ‘show us
the Father’, Jesus replies ‘he that hath seen me hath seen the
Father’ (Jn 14:9). Jesus is the exact image of his Father.
Hebrews chapter one also tells us that Jesus was ‘made better than
the angels’. Jesus is ‘the firstbegotten’, or in other words the
beginning of the creation of God. See the connections?
So far we’ve read that Jesus is, ‘ the beginning of the creation of
God’ (Rev 3:14). ‘When he (God) prepared the heavens, I
(wisdom aka Jesus) was there’ (Pr 8). ‘The Word was with God,
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made
by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made’
(Jn 1:2&3). Jesus is ‘the only begotten of the Father’ (Jn 1:14).
‘By his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom
also he made the worlds (Heb 1:2).
John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me,
be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou
hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the
world.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.
This scripture has duel applications. Jesus is the first and last
‘thing’ the Father made or ‘formed’. The second implication is that
Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end of all history, as we know
it. The Alpha and The Omega. Amen.
