Announcement 1:

Greetings Melbourne. We call ourselves Anonymous and we are here to

protest against $cientology. This is happening every month around the
planet in hundreds of cities with thousands of people taking part. You
may wonder why we wear masks and cover our faces – this is to
protect our identity from $cientology so that we cannot be attacked by
them. They have a history of harassing critics physically, mentally and
legally. The focus of this months protest is to shed light on the OSA –
Scientology’s Office of Special Affairs. I encourage you to take one of
our fliers, to search the internet and find the truth out for yourselves.

Announcement 2:
Hello Melbourne. We are Anonymous and we are here to take a stand
against $cientology. For this months protest we’re focusing on
$cientology’s Office of Special Affairs. A simple way to describe them is
that they are the KGB of $cientology. Accordingly, our protest is spy
themed, which is why we’ll be playing iconic spy music throughout the
day. Though we mock them in this way, $cientology and Office of
Special Affairs is still serious business. In America there is an
organisation called the Cult Awareness Network or CAN, which
complies and provides information on cults. One of the cults on CANs
list was $cientology. In 1991 $cientology had 50 members file 50 near
identical lawsuits against CAN. Over the next few years $cientology
attacked with lawsuits until the managed to bankrupt CAN in 1996.
Afterwards $cientology bought up the name and rights to CAN.
Nowadays the Cult Awareness Network is run by $cientology. This is
what the so called church does: hiding information and destroying
those who attempt to reveal the truth. Take a flier, search the internet
and ask questions find the truth. Knowledge is free.

Announcement 3:
Good afternoon Melbourne. We are here to protest and spread the
truth about the cult of $cientology. In the 1970s scientology
committed the single largest infiltration of the United States
government in history: Operation Snow White in which scientology
destroyed undesirable records regarding scientology. In 1979 Mary Sue
Hubbard – wife of $cientology founded L Ron Hubbard - and ten other
scientologists where convicted and sent to federal prison. Why would a
church infiltrate the United States government to destroy documents?
This is not the action of a religious group. One of the agencies they
infiltrated was the Internal Revenue Service, and yet still $cientology
enjoys a tax exempt status. Be informed, because knowledge is free.

Announcement 4:
Hello Melbourne. We are here to protest against scientology. One of it’s
many disturbing policies is the fair game policy. Fair game states that
anyone who opposes scientology may be tricked, sued, lied to or
destroyed. We protest scientology, therefore scientology considers us
fair game – which is why we wear masks. Scientology critics who came
before us have had much trouble with harassment from scientology.
Former Florida Mayor Gabe Cezeres was hit with multiple lawsuits
when he opposed them buying Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater. When
Paulette Cooper wrote her book, The Scandal of Scientology, her
stationary was stolen by scientologists who forged death threats which
they used to frame Cooper and take her to court. Thankfully, she was
cleared of all charges and scientology’s attacks were revealed. Shawn
Lonsdale was a filmmaker and scientology critic who recently died in
an apparent suicide. Meanwhile John Sweeney was harassed, tailed
and spied on during the making of his BBC documentary, Scientology
and Me. Incidentally, for those of you with pay TV the Crime &
Investigation Channel will be screening the documentary Scientology &
Me at 7pm tomorrow (Sunday) and again on Monday at 1am and
7:30am. Because of these cases and more, we were masks to protect
our identity so that scientology may not harm us for attempting to tell
the truth. Scientology has an extensive list of harassing and destroying
those who attempt to speak the truth about their practices. Why would
a church go to such lengths to hide information? Ask questions, search
the internet and find the truth. Knowledge is free.

Announcement 5:
Good day Melbourne. Anonymous here to inform you about
scientology. Members of scientology spend thousands of dollars on
annual fees, courses and other expenses. One of the defining elements
of a cult is the way in which it stripes members of financial
independence, thus making them reliant on the cult. When
scientologist Noah Lottick committed suicide, he died clutching onto
the last of his money that he hadn’t given to scientology. Ask
questions, find answers and learn the truth about the cult of
scientology. Knowledge is free.

Announcement 6:
Hello Melbourne. We are Anonymous and we are here to protest
against scientology, a cult which is guilty of pressuring female Sea Org
members into having abortions, destroying those who criticize it,
harassing and stalking those who attempt to leave, infiltrating the
United States government and destroying documents and more. Please
feel free to take a flier, ask questions and search the internet and
discover the truth about the cult of scientology. Anthropologist
Margaret Mead once said: Never doubt that a small group of
committed individuals can change the world. Indeed, it is the only
thing that ever has.

Announcement 7:
Afternoon Melbourne. We call ourselves Anonymous and we are here
to protest against scientology. You wouldn’t think that a religion would
need its own intelligence agency, and yet scientology does.
Scientology’s Office of Special Affairs is needed for public relations,
suing people, investigating and attacking critics and former
scientologists. In the 60s it was scientologist Guardian Office which
handled these tasks. But then in the 70s the scientology’s Guardian
Office carried out Operation Snow White which involved infiltrating the
United States government and destroying undesirable documents.
They were caught and eleven scientologists were convicted and sent to
federal prison. This included Mary Sue Hubbard, wife of scientology
founder L Ron Hubbard. After this incident the Guardians Office was
reborn as the Office of Special Affairs – but they still carry out the
same activities of investigations, lawsuits and suppressing information.
Please take fliers, ask questions and be informed about the cult of
scientology.

Announcement 8:
Hello Melbourne. We are Anonymous and we are here to protest the
cult of scientology. These peaceful protests happen across the planet in
hundreds of cities every month. Now scientology was founded by L Ron
Hubbard, who began as a science fiction writer, penning Battlefield
Earth among others. He has often been quoted as saying: “You don’t
get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich you start a
religion.” And “I’d like to start a religion – that’s where the money is.”
In 1952 he did and the world was a worse place for it. Another choice
quote from scientology documents is “always attack, never defend.”
When Paulette Cooper wrote her book The Scandal of Scientology,
their response was not to attempt to refute Cooper’s claims, but
instead they framed and attempted to convict her of threats of
violence. She was cleared of all charges. When a friend or family
member of a scientologist is critical of scientology, the scientologist is
pressured to disconnect with them. This disconnection policy tears
apart relationship between friends and families. And when we began
protesting scientology in February they did not refute the claims that
they were a cult, nor could they tell us why Lisa McPherson died or
deny that they infiltrated the United States government and destroyed
documents. All they did was call us hateful. They didn’t bother to deny
the truth. They attack, they don’t defend. But the evidence against
scientology is overwhelming if you take the time to look. Ask
questions, take fliers, search the internet. Knowledge is free.
