IT120 Network Operating Systems v3 Windows and Linux Labs Map

v2.0 published and modified January 2007

This project will assist instructors in delivering the Linux labs from the IT 120: NOS course. Many schools have
a predominant Windows OS environment. The use of a run-from-CD version of Linux allows a computer to be
booted into Linux OS without installation on, or partitioning of, the machine's hard drive. We have chosen
Knoppix v3.9 to validate these labs.
NOTE: Not all of the IT II Linux labs can be performed with Knoppix. We expect that each classroom will have at
least one full-install distribution of Linux available.
There are two files associated with this Map:
-- ITEIIv3_KnoppixLabs_ILM.pdf which contains a Knoppix Instructor Guide and the alternate Knoppix labs with
answers
-- ITEIIv3_KnoppixLabs_SLM.pdf which contains the alternate Student Knoppix labs without answers

You must combine the Original Student Lab Manual and Updated Knoppix Labs as
stated below. Make sure you update footer information on all pages that are replaced.
