Interface Conference 2011

Call for Papers

St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Ireland, is hosting an international conference
Interface: Being a Young Theologian in the World on 4th and 5th March 2011.
The conference is aimed at young theologians and has two objectives: to explore the role of the
young theologian and to explore the role of theology in contemporary society.

Papers: We are calling for papers in English of 20 minutes in length, which address the
themes of the conference (exploring the role of the young theologian and the role of theology in
contemporary society). Since the papers are intended to foster discussion and help students in
their current research, papers which are ‘works in progress’ are welcomed. Electronic and AV
facilities will be available. If you are interested in presenting, please submit an abstract of no
more than 250 words by no later than 31st January 2011 to interfacemaynooth@gmail.com
along with the applicant’s educational standing (Institution, course, year).

Posters: We also welcome posters displaying attendees’ research and interests, for those
who wish to present and connect with other young theologians, but who do not wish to present
a full paper. To submit a proposal for the Poster Session, please send the title and a brief (250
words) description of the poster to interfacemaynooth@gmail.com by 31st January 2011.
For further information, please contact us by email at interfacemaynooth@gmail.com
