March for Dignity

Save the Date!

Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 12:00 p.m.
In light of the recent events near and around our campus concerning the LGBT
community, concerned faculty, staff, and students will host a silent march on
Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Interested marchers will meet in
front of the Roscoe Brown, Jr. Student Center. Details will follow.

The Faculty and Staff of Bronx Community College support all of our students and community members to
live their lives free of harassment or humiliation based on sexual orientation/gender identity. We are horri-
fied by the recent attacks that took place near our school, as well as suicides across the country since this
school year began.
Our commitment to global citizenship and diversity includes an unquestionable pledge to take an active
stand against discrimination or humiliation of persons based on sexual orientation/gender identity. We will
not tolerate belittling or abuse of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, or transgendered people on our campus. Bronx
Community College must be a safe space for all students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore
and grow.
