NOTES on Methodology:
1) *Values with an asterisk are NOT included in "valuation" or "avg cost per unit" because
permit included work to other structure + ADU, and was therefore not a fair value of costs to
construct an ADU.
2) Note however, that most permits for an ADU included a garage. These permits were
included in the total count and valuation.
3) Count includes new detached Accessory dwellings but also Accessory units that were
created as additions and conversions of existing spaces (ie detached Garage) into an ADU.
Main criteria was that permit added dwlg units. Therefore, repair permits for existing ADU's
were exlcuded from this count.
