 Satisfaction and
Dissatisfaction
Satisfaction is a pleasant feeling which you get when you
receive something you wanted, or when you have done
something you wanted to do.
Dissatisfaction is unpleasant felling in your complaint
when you get something that is not wanted to do.
 There are many kinds of expression
• Expressing satisfaction
 Thank you everything is fine.
 I really like my new hair cut.
 I am satisfied with everything.
 Everything is perfect.
 I am happy enough with it.
 It is ok.
• Expressing satisfaction
 I am dissatisfied with the
service here.
 I am disappointed with the
result.
 I don’t like the color of the
suit.
 I have a complaint.
 We are fed up with your
decision.
 Dialogue 1
Waitress : Is everything Ok, here?
Man : Yes, thank you. Everything is fine.
Waitress : Is your steak satisfactory?
Man : Quite satisfactory.
Waitress : How about your roast beef?
Man : It’s just right. I like it
Waitress : Will thee be anything else, then?
Man : No. Not at this moment.
 Dialogue 2
Boy : Mom, I don’t like the new wallpaper in my room.
Mom : Well, that’s just too bad. Be satisfied with it. I’m
going to change it now.
Boy : But, it’s too dark for me to study there. I'm not
satisfied with it.
Mom : Tom, it was what you wanted. Like it or hump it.
You can change it, but with your own money.
Boy : OK, Mom.
