Introduction
• Sales promotion is one of the four aspects of
promotional mix. Sale promotion consists of
short term incentives to encourage purchase
or sales of a product or services.
• Sales promotion is any initiative undertaken
by an organisation to promote an increase in
sales, usage or trial of a product or service.
Sales promotion Activities
• (a) Buy-One-Get-One-Free (BOGOF) - which is an example
of a self-liquidating promotion.
• (b) Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
-incentives such as bonus points or money off coupons.
• (c) New media - Company provides discount to the
customer for the promotion of the sale.
• (h)  Free samples- Use free samples of product.
• (i) Vouchers and coupons- Seen in newspapers and
magazines, on packs.
• (j) Competitions and prize draws- In newspapers,
magazines, on the TV and radio, on The Internet, and on
packs.

Brothers India Limited.
