Most thriller have themes of mind, getting the character to think. after
thatIdentity, this is when one of the characters are confused and are
not sure who they are. Then drama, with dramatic tension building
on the intensity. Next death, and a fear of death lingers in the air.
Finally reality, showing the truth of life.
Timeline
One of the earliest thriller films was created in 1923 and was
called ‘Safety last’ with American actors. They then developed
horror thrillers in 1933. Then the first ever psychotically
thriller to be made in Britain was made in 1939.
Extra information
Psychological Thrillers are usually rated 15 or 18 and target an
audience between 15 to 20. This sub-genre also relates to
the processing of someone’s mind and how they think. It also
contain elements mystery.

Starts with credits then fades to black, then it is night in the streets, we then get informed about a murder,
people start to get a bit panicked and there is one character that is more scared than the rest.
Seven(1995)

Goes straight into the film, we see one character getting ready, then we get shown a crime scene of a murder
and noises of ambulance and cars in the background.
Transsiberian (2008)

It starts with slience and the titles are on the top of the scene, then we see three characters who find a death
scene. Then once the characters start speaking more we find out the one of them is a detective. Music
then come in when the detective leaves and then the name of the film comes up whilst the detective is
getting out of the boat. It then goes to a room full of people, which make it seem like the opening sequence
was there to give background information.
