MEDICAL VOLUNTEER TEAM SPENDS THANKSGIVING
HOLIDAY IN
HAITI BATTLING THE CHOLERA OUTBREAK
(PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 22, 2010) — As the cholera outbreak in Haiti continues to worsen,
Portland-based Medical Teams International will send their fifth team to Haiti to continue
treating cholera. The team leaves November 23rd and stays until Dec. 2.

Every day, the agency’s volunteer medical teams treat an average of 150 new cholera patients.
The steady surge of new patients is not expected to slow down until the end of November.
