The dosing of larger quantities of powder can be made
continuous using the HIGH FLOW CONTINUOUS
system. This system utilizes one mixing tank equipped
with a high quality Lightnin mixer to homogenize the
concentrates produced by the wetting device with 2
controlled water flow rate, The out feed of this mixing
‘tank overflows from a weir and is removed by dents’
pumps for use in the plant. This system can dose
powder continuously from 2kg/hr to 120kg/hte

aPowder Loading System
‘Avacuum powder loading system is usually provided, The vacuum suck the powder from the bag and delves it
into the hopper, The dust generated by the delivery is fitered by a needlefelt polyester filter and deaned
periodically by a reversed pulse jet. The reverse pube jet ensures that the filter remains clear of any powder which
may cake up and reduce efficent transport of the powder.
Process Cycle
Sequential operation is controlled by a programmable logic controller, The cycle is initiated by a low level in the
mixing tank, This starts the mixer, water feed and the povider feed in a control sequence to prepare a batch of,
chemical at a preset dosage. The dosage can be selected from the panel, which will in turn determine the amount
(of chemical to be fed into the tank, The whole sequence will be stopped by a high level sensor. The powder feed
is designed to complete before the high level so that water will lush the system to clear the wetting cone of any
powder, This system is excellent for feeding polymer but can be used for accurate feeding of fluoride and lime,
STAGE 1= Parabolic Cyclone Wetting Chamber
This system efficiently hydrates and mixes the chemical to 2 homogeneous mix. Effective wetting of the
chemical is cartied out from the parabolic wetting cone. This wetting cone is tangetially fed with variable
source of water, The water jet travels along the parabolic surface of the cone and accelerates producing a
deep vortex into the eductor below. The eductor
generates a vacuum by means of a water jet and sucks in
the mixture of solid chemical, water and also any fine
airbone powder greatly reducing the problem of dust
control, Tae deep vortex produced by the accelerating
water in the parabolic cone and the turbulent flow in is
the eductor ensures no ish eye even for very hard to wet
high molecular weight polymers.

maturation allows pomer chain to fully open up to
censure maximum effectiveness of the polymer. Lightnin
mixers, with its aerodynamic impellers, provide effective
top to bottom mixing and producesa homogeneous mix.
Upon completion of the maturation process, an
electronically operated dump valve releases the batch of
ready mixture into the next stage.

The holding tank receives the bulk from the mixing tank
and allows for preparation time and maturation time.
‘The holding tank is usually made of the same material as
the mixing tank.
