We know that open cooling tower systems offer perfect conditions for proliferation
and dissemination of bacteria such as Legionella.
While it is not possible to completely remove this risk without removal of the system,
it is possible to manage the risk. Taking a Zero Tolerance approach to bacteria
control is particularly important for management in high profile, high risk sites. At the
heart of any cooling water risk management plan is the chemical dosage system.
