The admission to the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University is in

accordance with the existing Ukrainian legislation. Foreign citizens who don`t know
Ukrainian or Russian perfectly are admitted to the Preparatory Department for one year.
After graduating of the Preparatory Department foreign students can continue their
studies in this University or other universities of Ukraine.
IFNMU admits foreign citizens to the following departments:
General Medicine – term of studies – 6 years (English medium included)
Pediatrics - term of studies – 6 years
Dentistry - term of studies – 5 years (English medium included)
Pharmacy - term of studies – 5 years
Nursing – term of studies – 3 (4) years
Prosthodontics – term of studies - 2 years.
The foreign citizens studying at the IFNMU are guaranteed rights and liberties forseen by
the Ukrainian legislation in force.
1. People wishing to apply to IFNMU should complete the Application Form and email it
together with the copy of passport and copy of High (Secondary) School Certificate to
International Students Office fd@ifdmu.edu.ua.
2. After receiving the Application Form an official invitation for studying at IFNMU will
be sent to your correspondence address. The invitation should be submitted to the
Embassy of Ukraine in your country for the purpose of receiving a student visa.
3. After obtaining the student visa you must inform the International Students Office of
IFNMU about the exact date of your arrival in Ukraine and your flight number.
4. Upon your arrival at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University you should submit
the Application Pack to the Commission on Admission, then you will be invited for an
interview.
5. The admission procedure will be completed after you sign an agreement with the
University and pay your tuition fee for the 1st year of studies.
6. After being enrolled as a student at IFNMU you receive an official permission
enabling you to register in Police Registration Office.
Application Pack
The applicants hand in to the University Commission on Admission:
- Application to the Rector`s name
- Copy of the Certificate about education with the list of subjects studied and marks
(points) obtained (translated into Ukrainian or English, attested in Ukrainian Embassy)
- Copy of the Birth Certificate (translated into Ukrainian or English, attested in Ukrainian
Embassy)
- Certificate about the absence of HIV-infection
- Medical Certificate on the health status from the leaving country and issued not late
than 2 month before entering Ukraine for studies
- 6 photo pictures, size 30x40 mm
- Policy of the emergency medical help to the foreign citizens
