ESSAY/POWERPOINT
By : Matt Davis
15%
employment will continue to lose jobs with a
projected 15% job decrease from 2008-2018.
Solution…?
So with the majority of textile jobs
moving overseas and plants shutting
down, is there a solution to help
Belmont citizens get they’re jobs back
as they truly need?
I Believe So!
I believe this problem can easily be
solved. One way in particular which
is already happening is that JO MAR
Spinning, a new textile company, is
using one of R.L. Stowe’s old
buildings. Hopefully more companies
will come to Belmont and use the
buildings to help expand their
empires. Which will help bring more
jobs available to people in Belmont.
New Companies?
One main solution is to keep our textile
jobs in the USA. We need to be able to
supply our own needs. This would help
create more jobs in Belmont and for our
country and open up new jobs that have
been taken away. We need the new
companies to open in America, not
overseas.
