About Us
Honua Consulting consist of a small group of
Hawaiian contractors who work in Hawai`i to
provide professional services in the areas of
culture, education, community relations and
environmental services.
Honua Consulting was founded in 2003 by Dr.
Trisha Kēhaulani Watson following the birth of
her son (pictured above) so she could stay
home with him and still work. Today Honua
Consulting proudly continues with contractors
who effectively balance family and work.
About Kēhau
A lifelong Mānoa resident, Trisha Kēhaulani
Watson, JD, PhD, earned her degrees from
Washington State University and the University
of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. She is active within the
Native Hawaiian community; she is a member
of `Ahahui Ka`ahumanu, Daughters of Hawai`i,
the Native Hawaiian Bar Association, and other
Hawaiian organizations. She is a board
member of the Hawaiian Civic Club of
Honolulu. She is the proud mother of a
beautiful seven year old son. She can be

assist with community consultation and
outreach. We work honestly and openly in all
areas of public and government relations to
make sure projects are conducted in a way that
honors local communities and promotes
environmental and cultural sustainability.

organizations, including compliance support,
training and technical assistance.
