When producing my research, I found a lot of

inspiration and ideas came from Billboard

magazine. I like the layout of their pages and how
they layer their features to make the page fuller. I
also like how they use one, large main image as
this is the key focus of the whole page. The large
image is very eye-catching for readers as well as
the masthead and headings. They also limit the
amount of text that they have so it makes you
focus more on the image. I may consider doing the
same with my magazine. The colours that they use
are also very effective.

Another magazine that I get inspiration from is Vibe

magazine. This magazine uses a similar layout to Billboard
although they layer features differently and have a limit to
their colour palette. There is also not a lot of text which
appeals to the reader because if the image is large, they will
know what the main highlight of the magazine is anyway. I
like how the layout is quite basic but the colours that they use
make it stand out more. The black and white images work
very well with the colour palettes and I may consider using
this feature on my magazine.
