SHERYL ROBINS….

It was raining cats and dogs, and there was a thunder storm as a
blonde girl with long hair and bangs. Her height is about five feet
walked down the pavement her hair stuck to her face and she was
soaked crying as she was walking down. She couldn’t understand what
had happened all she knew was that it did.

Feeling tired and lonely she bent down and sat on the pavement
and closed her eyes. Flashes of what had happened to her came to her
mind and tears rolled down her face. She had not to remember and
think about what was going to happen to her now. She listened
carefully to the rain and she could hear the sound as it reached the
pavement and noises from the car engines and the smell of smoke from
the cars. The rain stopped. She searched around for her back pack and
she said,

“Oh! Sheryl Robins when will you learn”

She slept after a while. Awakened by the sound of an ambulance, she

struggled to get up when she noticed she was strapped to stretcher and
been carried in to the ambulance. Sheryl asked,

“What is happening to me? What is going on?”

Still struggling to get loose and trying to understand what was going on
and why she was being carried she said,

“Let me go; I’m alright; I’m fine”

 “Listen, we are only here for your own good and trying to
help you, you where lying on the pavement when a nice citizen, Mr.
Nicolas Brown saw you and called us. Don’t worry everything will be
alright,” one lady among the paramedics said,

“I m Tara I will be with you all the time I will help if you
need any assistance okay. Well let start somewhere what is your
name?”

She said to Sheryl as they drove away in the ambulance. The lady from
the paramedics said

She asked Sheryl. With trembling lips she answered

“Robins”

Sheryl nodded her head. Tara was about to ask another question when
the ambulance came to a stop. They had arrived at St.Henry medical
center at park lane .Sheryl murmured to herself,

She said she was carried to one of the hospital room and laid her on the
bed thinking to herself she said,

“What will I tell Tara if………”

Interrupted by Tara she said,

“Sheryl what are you thinking about?”

Sheryl said,
 “Em-Em-Em I-I-I was think-thinking about em-em the boy
that took me the party.”

Sheryl mummer. Tara left thinking she couldn’t understand why Sheryl
was behaving like that and feeling uncomfortable .Later, in the day Tara
came in and said,

“Sheryl you are leaving today they are on their way to get
you and who is the boy that took you to the party?”

Tara asked. Sheryl replied,

“Well he is my ex-boyfriend and I bumped my head so hard

so I can’t remember his name. Who is coming to get me?”

She asked feeling very nervous .Tara replied,

“Mr. Nicolas brown he called and said he would take care

of you since you told people around that you are an orphan”

Sheryl gave a sigh of relief

CHAPTER 2..
Having mixed feelings Sheryl said to herself,
“Will he like me? What is he trying to do? Shit! I just can’t
understand?”

The finally she said,

“Sheryl robins it will be okay just take the bull by the horn”

Tara gave her some dry clothes it wasn’t much but she but the on, then
Mr. Nicolas arrived at the hospital Sheryl came out of the room tall,
dark curly hair wearing a black suit and a red tie and standing by the
counter Sheryl mummer,

“I have butterflies in my tummy he looks disgusted at my

sight, what should I do? Should I turn back and go to the room or walk
down I look like anxious bride walk down the ale to meet her groom,
what the hell I will just go!!”

On getting to the counter the man who stood there said

“I am Nicolas brown, I am business man I work with a

company and you are and how old are you?”

He asked,

“Sheryl Robins and I am sixteen”

She replied, and then he said,

“I will be taking care of you from now on is that okay.

Alright then let’s go to the car and off to your new home.”
He said the smiling; Sheryl turned her head and saw Tara at the order
end of the hallway waving to her smiling Sheryl waved back.

Sheryl got into the car and they drove off to the house
Sheryl turned back and noticed that there were kids at the back of the
car two boys and a girl .She wonder where their mum was and why Mr.
Nicolas didn’t talk about their mum the first thought that came her
mind was maybe he was divorced . She thought to herself,

“The first the boy had blue eyes, tall, muscular, with
straight black hair up to his shoulder, he smelt brutt. He looked angry,
he was wearing black skinnes and a white shirt; he was listening to
music on his I pod and playing games on his P.S.P. The order boy was
sweating he also had blue eyes and black curls like that of Mr. Nicolas,
he was wearing a soccer jersey, he had something on it but I couldn’t
see it, he was a bit tall and looked happy to see me and he was reading
a book. The girl was pretty fashionable; she had black straight hair and
bangs like mine and she had blue eyes and she was on the phone.”

Then they stopped at a duplex, they all came down Sheryl

commented

“This is bigger than my former………”

“Your former dump yard Right! Right! Right!”

They all laughed making Sheryl feel bad .Mr. Nicolas said

“Cut it out kids. They are not used to having people saying
or sleeping in the house except their friends”

He said to Sheryl as he comes out of the car. The girl still on the phone
she said
 “No way, Stella can’t be going out with Tim because Tracy
is so like going out with him. Guys I know what you mean I have two
here pigs right! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Mr. Nicolas told her to hang up she said

“Why because of her”

She said pointing to Sheryl and rolling her eyes

“There is major gist in school I have to know I do not want

to be stale when I get to school.”

She said leaving Mr. Nicolas got hold of her and shout at
her saying

“Hang up Jane or I will……….”

“Or you will do what shank me right, go head does it and I

will call the cops on you”

She said freeing herself and walking away putting the phone back on
her ear.

“Sorry for that Sheryl”

Mr. Nicolas apologized

“So that’s her name the bitch you wanted shank my sister
because of her well hi I am Mark, I am nineteen nice to meet you .I am
Jason eleven captain of Green Spring football team nice to meet you”
They both said sarcastically and went into the house .He
led her inside he met them all sitting on the couch he said,
 “Her name is Sheryl Robins she will be stay with us from
now on.........”

He paused as he noticed that Jane walking away he shouted at her

“Come back Jane! Come back! Ever since your mother died
of leukemia you no longer have respect for me, your attitude has
changed “

“Why! Why shouldn’t it? I want mum back leave me alone I

want mum back!!”

She said sobbing as she went up the stairs the next thing we heard was
the slam of a door

“Way to go dad! Now she is going to cry all day long”

Then he put the ear phones back on his ear. Mr. Nicolas walked to him
and took out the head phones from him and continued

“She is sixteen”

“I that all”

Mark said and then he left to the sitting room

“Take care of her my little man I have to go back to work

now, bye”

He said as he left.

CHAPTER 3…
Sheryl bent her head down and
“Why don’t they like me I have only been with them for a
couple of hours?”

She said sobbing. Jason came around and his arms around her and said

“They are not like that I just that they were really close to
my mum and they changed ever since my mum died, please don’t cry”

She raised her head reluctantly, cleaned her eyes and asked

“Jason, what happened how did she die and how old is
Jane?”

“Well she is fifteen years and let me take you down

memory lane. My mum name was Mrs. Sasha Brown she was average
height, she had long straight long black hair, with bangs like Jane’s and
blue eye like us. She was suffering from leukemia for about five years.
She had a bone marrow transplant which Jane gave her and other
transplant but after the kidney transplant, two days later she died.”

“Oh! I am so sorry when was she buried?”

“About two years ago but let forget about let show to your
room.”

There was a knock at the door and Jason opened it and hissed girl tall

With blonde straight hair and such an artificial face, wearing a short
black short dress and killer heel walked in .She looked at Sheryl in
strange then she walked towards the sitting room where Mark was and
kissed him then they both went up stairs,
 “Who is that?”

“Isn’t it obvious it’s Mark’s girl friend, her name is Lily she
irritates me.”

They both went upstairs Sheryl followed they first room they passed
had a pink designs with on it was closed,

“This is Jane’s room and the next room that as a black door
and stereo playing loud is Mark’s room he loves songs.”

Sheryl walked toward it to pip when Mark shirt less comes out exposing

Complete six and said,

“What the hell are you looking for? Mind your business”

He said as slammed the door at her

“Don’t mind him and stop been mean.”

He yelled at Mark the next room had a blue door and Jason name was

Written on it she entered and the room was filled with pictures of
soccer player. She picture and asked,

“Is this your mum?”

“Yes”

“She was pretty”

“Thanks now let’s go to your room”

They walked down the hall a bit then they entered the next room they
 “Sheryl this is your new room the bathroom is on the left
and there are clothes in the closet and dinner time is by 7:30 don’t be
late we are having pizza and burger night.”

Sheryl was so tired she lay on the bed and looked around after a she fell
asleep. She heard a knock on the door she jumped up and looked at
time,

“Oh! Shit! It is an hour past dinner time.”

She heard he knocks again she went to the door and answered it

“Oh! Mr. Nicolas I am so sorry I over slept because I was

tired.”

“It is okay do you want dinner?”

“No, I am okay.”

“Okay, then change to a dress in the closet and go to bed

good night”

Sheryl changed and went back to bed she said a word of prayer like her
mum thought her to and then slept off.

“Get up lazy it is 8:00am we have to clean the house it is

Saturday.”

Jane yelled at Sheryl as she banged .Sheryl woke up had a shower and
went down stair

“Good morning Mr. Nicolas.”

“Good morning to you too.”

He replied.
 “What would like to do? Mark is in the garden raking, Jason
is dusting and vacuuming the house and Jane is……..”

“Preparing breakfast. Okay lazy come and help me.”

Sheryl went and was helping Jane while Mr. Nicolas went up stairs and
changed to his office wear and came down stairs and said

“I wouldn’t be joining you children for breakfast I have to

work today I have a contract.”

And he left. When breakfast was ready they all ate and Jane did the
dishes.

The door the bell went, Jason got the door and with a
sarcastic look he said,

“Hi, Lily how nice to see you again”

Mark rushed out of the and took Lily by the hand and dragged her
outside they had a loud conversation after while Lily left with her face
in her hand. Mark entered and he went up the stairs and slammed his
room door. There was a horn and Jane said,

“Come on Jason time for soccer practice get your bag from
under the table let’s not keep her waiting.”

“Bye Sheryl there is food in the fridge.”

Said as he was dragged away by Jane. She hears the sound of the car
as it drove off.

“Why is the house quiet? Why is Mark not playing his

stereo loud something must be wrong?”
Sheryl said to herself as she went up stairs

“Mark! Mark! Are you alright what’s up with you?”

She asked as she knocked at his door

“What do you care?”

He asked her. He left it open so Sheryl thought that he meant come in.
She entered as saw a messy room with stereo, a T.V set, a computer
and clothes lying all around. The odor was bad it made her eyes water,
it was like entering a dump yard

“Ewe! What is that?”

She asked as she looked at the floor it was stale pizza pepperoni she
guessed.

“Mark I just want to know what is wrong with you?”

“Well I just dumped Lily and that’s why she was crying.”

“Why?”

“This is because she was cheating on me with my best

friend. Okay now leave before I beat you up.”

Sheryl went closer and sat on his bed and put her arms around him and
she said,

“Don’t worry I will help you, you can talk to me if you have
any problem.”

Mark looked up at Sheryl and said,

 “You are nice I never knew I am so sorry for calling you a
bitch.”

“It’s alright I am here for you.”

He looked up at her and she ticked him and said a lot of jokes to make
him later they down stairs to watch to movies and this cheered him up.

The door bell went and Sheryl went to get it, it was Mr. Nicolas

“Good afternoon Mr. Nicolas how was your day?”

“Fine! Fine! Great! I got the contract!”

He went up the stairs. Dinner time Mr. Nicolas didn’t come down,
Sheryl and Mark ate the pie Jane had made early for dinner while
eating Sheryl asked,

“Where are Jane and Jason?”

“They are at aunt Kate’s house the lady that came to pick
Jason for soccer practices they are sleeping over there.”

Jane did the dished after her and Mark watched a movie while watching
Sheryl slept off and Mark carried her to her room and laid her on the
bed.
CHAPTER 4…
When Sheryl woke that day she went down for breakfast and on her
way she decide to tell how she had gotten to where their father found
her. The next day Mr. Nicolas left for work everybody was down stairs
eating when said,

“Hi! Everyone I decide to tell you what happened to me.

Well it all started my dad had just returned from the bank with a
briefcase containing a lot of money, I was at home my mum had just
finished setting the table for dinner. I was filling my nail my called to
come down stair so I put the nail file in my pocket and went down we
talking and eating when we heard our door bell my mother went to
answer and the next thing we heard was a gunshot my dad rushed out
of the table to see what was going on while I crept under the table I
saw two legs dragging someone along with the I knew it was my dad I
heard voices asking my dad for the brief case he had brought in today
the I sneezed because I was allergic to dust one of them bent over an
dragged me out they were both wearing black and had face mask on so
I couldn’t see their faces then he tired me to one of the chairs while the
other went to drop the brief case my dad had given him in the car
outside the other bent over and said something to my dad in his ear I
reached for my nail file and used to cut myself lose the next thing the
man shout my dad he was came closer and I kicked and he fell down
while I made my way up the stairs the other came in and saw me
running and he stared casing me and I looked for the key to the secret
door that lead to the kitchen and got away though the window and that
is how I ended up at the pavement where your dad saw me.”
 They all apologized and she hugged her and she promised,
ate breakfast and watched a movie together.

“That was brave what you did back there.”

Mark commented,

“Thanks”

Then the door bell went and Mark went to get it, Mr. Nicolas went to
the sitting room and paused the movie then he said,

“Sheryl you are going to be going to the same school with

Mark and Jane I have gotten your things ready will you start school with
the tomorrow.”

After dinner they all went to bed.

Then her life became better than it was, Mark became her
boy friend and Mr. Nicolas was okay with, Jane became her best friend
and little sister they always played dress up and she helped her prepare
for her first date with Mark, and Jason became her little brother an her
soccer coach at home, Mr. Nicolas as her father and Tara as the family
doctor, therapist and Mr. Nicolas new found love.
