To create the first test case, you can pick and connect any
options. When you create the second test case, pick one of
the options that was not used in the first one. Continue
adding test cases until all nodes of the graph (as shown in
Figure 11) are covered. Usually you'll need from 4 to 6 test
cases to cover all the options that should be tested.
However, some specific situations may require more.

Backwards Compatibility
Once you have a list of features you want to add, you should
look at them in more detail. In my opinion, it’s usually a good
idea to look at the usability improvements first. Normally those
things are easy to change or enhance and they add a great
value to your product.
Alpha testing
Alpha testing is simulated or actual operational testing by
potential users/customers or an independent test team at the
developers' site. Alpha testing is often employed for off-the-
shelf software as a form of internal acceptance testing, before
the software goes to beta testing.
Beta testing
Beta testing comes after alpha testing. Versions of the
software, known as beta versions, are released to a limited
audience outside of the programming team. The software is
released to groups of people so that further testing can ensure
the product has few faults or bugs. Sometimes, beta versions
are made available to the open public to increase
the feedback field to a maximal number of future users.[
