How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert, Answered..................................................40
PART ONE:
The social media discovery that’s rocking the business world – and rewriting the rules
of freelancing right now (Don’t miss this shift-change in business and freelancing, or within two
years, you’ll find yourself left behind and wondering what happened)
PART TWO:
Introducing the 4 steady profit streams you can collect using social media – and how
to get started in 30 days or less, landing social media consulting contracts from $2,500 to as
much as $12,000 or more per month (plus $300 per hour consulting gigs) – as well as grow a
passive income stream of $5,700 and more every month from “playing” with social media
PART THREE:
Your shortest path to becoming a Social Media Expert – and maximizing the income you
get from each profit stream (This turns off all the social media noise and hype – and shows you
the clearest path to social media success)
Social media is turning the business world on its head. No question about it.
In just a few short months, 9 million people watched the YouTube video about how
“United Breaks Guitars” – creating a public relations disaster for United Airlines
and making every musician think twice about flying “the friendly skies”
Comcast Cable rewrote their rules for customer service in response to Twitter
complaints – and turned a potential disaster into high satisfaction among their most
vocal customers
1800Flowers now even lets you shop directly from Facebook – generating direct
sales using social media and reaching customers who may never visit their website
Social Media is changing everything about how business works online. Customer service. Sales.
Marketing. Advertising. The rules are all being rewritten – with the customer driving much of
the communication.
Companies refusing to play by the new rules are taking blows left and right. Those that adapt
are gaining market share and raving fans.
If you can drive business results through social media, you have a huge
opportunity to help clients create and manage their social media presence
(some social media consultants are bringing in upwards of $10K a day just to
teach social media to executives!)
Need more clients? Look no further than Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn – you
find clients, clients find you, and you land gigs just by joining the conversation
(many clients are now looking first – and sometimes only – to social media when
they need help)
Get high-quality web traffic – referrals can bring you the most ready-to-buy
customers, and social media is a referral medium. You can add 50% more traffic
to your website through social media – and see a similar bump in income for
your Money-Making Websites and self-publishing projects (using the same skills
you sell to clients!)
Parts Two and Three of this report show you how you can take advantage of these
opportunities and start profiting using social media within the next 30 days.
2. You’ll know the four ways you can start to create consistent profits using
social media …
3. And, you’ll have specific action steps you can take now to start collecting your fair
share of the profits being made using social media
For help putting together this report, I turned to Nick Usborne, web marketing consultant to
Yahoo!, Microsoft, and Disney, as well as author of AWAI’s How to Write Your Own Money-
Making Websites, Copywriting 2.0, and Profitable Freelancing programs. He’s helped to
identify the four opportunities web writers and freelancers have for making money using social
media. And, at the end of this report, I’ll show you how you can try Nick’s new program on
becoming a Social Media Expert, risk-free.
Beyond this, Nick uses his expertise as a web marketer, web writer, and in-the-trenches
practitioner of the social media strategies he’s teaching to show you how to make four separate
profit streams using social media.
Because this program is well over 250 pages, there’s far more on these opportunities than we
can cover in this report.
As I said, I’ll show you at the end of this report how you can get your hands on Nick’s new
program and give it a try. You’ll get six full months to put it to work and start seeing results, or
you get a prompt and courteous refund of your investment.
Of course, you’re under no obligation by simply reading this report. Though if you decide at any
time you’d like to try How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert, you can use the links in
this report, or call Barb, Pat, Debbie, or Jacqueline in the AWAI Member Services Department
toll-free at 1-866-879-2924 and let them know you’d like to try Nick’s new program, and they’ll
take care of you.

PART ONE:
Make Money Using Social Media
But, take a look around at all the top copywriters and marketing gurus you know. How many of
them have websites? Ten years ago, if you’d told them they’d need a website to keep
their business afloat, they would have laughed at you! Now it’s an essential part of their
business strategy.
By the late 1990s, a website became another way to connect and communicate
with your current customers. (Phase 2)
In the early 2000s, customers and potential customers started turning to your
website as a measure of whether you’re a serious business or not – and websites
became a real business advantage. (Phase 3)
And, by the late 2000s until now, websites have become an essential part in any
business strategy. (Phase 4)
The next step is for social of one big advantage social media offers
As I ask around, I’m finding businesses – especially freelancers – without a social media
presence are starting to see signs they’re being left behind. (Don’t let this be you!)
In reality, social media is becoming deeper and deeper integrated into the entire Internet. The
major search engines are now even using Twitter links, Facebook “Likes,” and other social media
buzz to determine where a particular page will show up in search engine rankings. It seems like
every week news breaks on a new way that social media is being integrated into our lives.
And, while there are some age and gender trends (teens, for example, are the heaviest users),
the demographics of social media cover the entire spectrum.
And power users – about one in four teen and adult Internet users, or 20% of the total U.S.
population – use social media every day. It’s not uncommon for these heavy users to open
Facebook and Twitter in the morning (or apps they use to access these services) and keep them
open all day as their portal into the Internet (move over, Google!).
The Faces Of Social Media study found 15% of U.S. social media users – or 30 million people
– said they’re more willing to buy from brands they can find in social media.
Total social media spending – including employees, freelancers, consultants, and services –
could be dramatically more as companies throw their weight behind social media initiatives.
At this point, we’ve found consultants making $10,000 a day simply to teach social media to
corporate executives. There’s no guarantee you can make this much – yet figures like these
make it clear that the money being spent on social media is tremendous. (Of course, half that
would still be a good day for most of us!)
All the numbers are well and good – and provide significant PROOF
on the growth of social media – but what’s going on at the ground level?
It’s one thing to look at all the stats and see that billions are being spent, consultants are making
thousands per day, and social media is becoming a standard part of the marketing mix.
But, what gets even better is when you start to see the actual impact social media is having on
a case-by-case basis.
Slow-moving companies are getting eaten alive by social media – as you’ll see in the United
Airlines story. Others – like Comcast and 1800Flowers – see the business advantage of social
media and are leveraging it to build their brand, keep customer satisfaction high, and even to
make direct sales.
Business goals can be made or broken with social media. This discovery is rocking the business
world. Let’s look at how this is happening – then we’ll look at how you can use this discovery to profit.
To make a long story short, Carroll’s $3,500 Taylor guitar was broken. Every United employee
he talked to for a full nine months passed the buck and refused to take responsibility. They used
every rule and regulation in the book to pin it on Carroll, even though their employees were
witnessed throwing the guitars.
Finally, Carroll realized he was in a fight he couldn’t win. The system was stacked against him.
So, he went to one place he had real power …
He wrote a song and made a YouTube video. Carroll sang his story and played his broken guitar
while actors performed a ‘dramatic reinterpretation’ of the United Ground Crew tossing musical
instruments around:
Carroll posted his “United Breaks Guitars” video on YouTube on July 6, 2009. CBC News
reported it received 150,000 hits its first day. Within four days, the video had been watched half
a million times. And, by the time Carroll released a second YouTube video less than two months
later, Canada’s National Post newspaper reported that his first video had been viewed over five
million times.
A quick look at the YouTube video stats show “United Breaks Guitars” has been viewed more
than 9.7 million times as of January 2011:
Not only that, it’s been featured on Time.com, MSN.com, and about 249,000 other web pages,
according to a recent Google search:
Along the way, United offered payment to fix the guitar, which Carroll declined and asked them
to give to charity instead. Though it’s important to note, United only responded to Carroll’s
complaint AFTER he started exposing their customer service hijinks to millions of viewers on
YouTube and getting coverage in major media outlets.
message. And, the United story is the perfect demonstration of a message spreading like
wildfire through social media.
Further, the United story sheds light on another important truth – users are in charge in social
media. If one user creates something that other users like, it spreads. Fast. If a customer is
treated poorly and they take to YouTube or another network, soon this negative message
is worldwide.
(PR wasn’t the only problem United faced from essentially they “broke” his career.
This brings home an important point. In our own ways to build enviable success.
Like Comcast.
The story started when 75-year-old Mona “The Hammer” Shaw did what many Comcast
customers only wished they had the guts to do.
Monday, August 13, 2007. Shaw had ordered Comcast’s “Triple Play” service, combining
phone, cable, and Internet service. The installers didn’t show up. She called to complain and the
company sent out a crew … Two days later. The crew left the job half-done. And on Friday, two
days after that, they shut off the service she DID have.
So, Mona and her husband drove to the local Comcast office and demanded to speak with a
manager. They were left on a bench outside in the mid-August heat for two full hours before
being told the manager had gone home for the day.
The following Monday Mona returned to the Comcast office … This time wielding a claw hammer.
BAM! She smashed the customer service rep’s keyboard. BAM! There goes a monitor! BAM! The
phone, too! The cops were called, and as they arrived, Mona smashed the phone again!
Mona was handcuffed and charged with a misdemeanor crime, even as thousands upon
thousands of angry Comcast customers cheered.
A couple of months later, in October 2007, AdvertisingAge columnist Bob Garfield launched the
website ComcastMustDie.com. Touting Shaw’s story, along with his own bad customer service
experience, Garfield launched what he controversially called “The Comcast Jihad.” Within two
weeks, his site had 680 comments Garfield reported as “expressing abject hatred toward a
cable company.”
Being a journalist, Garfield easily turned this into coverage in major media outlets like The New
York Times, Good Morning America, Business Week, USA Today, and The Washington Post.
It was clear – Comcast’s customer service (and the company as a whole) was in a dire situation.
Comcast not only solved a lot of customers’ frustrations … It also changed the customer service
culture within the company.
In 2009, they introduced the Comcast Customer Guarantee, offering a 7-part service promise
cable customers previously only dreamed of (and a way to get your money back if you’re not
satisfied). They’ve restructured large portions of the company to provide a stronger emphasis
on customer experience. And, Frank and his team have turned into social media celebrities.
It’s worth noting that on the back of his success, Frank left Comcast and joined Citibank in
August 2010. He wanted to start the process all over again. But, you can bet after his success
story with Comcast – featured in Business Week, ABC World News, The New York Times,
USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and too many more news outlets to count – that he wrote
his own ticket to social media riches when he accepted the position at Citibank.
Of course, once you understand social media and how to use it to achieve business goals, you
can write your own ticket, too. We’ll cover that in more detail in a minute – including the four
profit streams you can create using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media tools.
But first, one more example that’s making savvy direct marketers think twice.
Then I told him what 1800Flowers is doing and he said, “Call me a changed man.”
At 11:50 a.m. EST on July 8, 2009, 1800Flowers made the first retail transaction through
Facebook. They sold a flower arrangement called “Slice of Life,” for $34.99 (see the photo, on
the next page):
1800Flowers isn’t alone, either. Pizza companies are putting up ordering widgets on their
Facebook pages. Airlines are putting up flight reservation widgets. And, new examples of
companies selling directly through social media pop up every day!
It’s something that’s turning the heads of even the most reluctant direct marketers. And as their
heads turn, they’re going to need savvy people like you to help them achieve their business
goals through social media.
In Nick’s How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert, you learn the eight business goals
you can achieve using social media – and how to achieve them. This sets you up as the go-to
expert as companies look to follow Comcast and 1800Flowers into success with social media.
And as the expert, you’ll be able to command substantial fees for your work and expertise. (Like
I said, we’re already seeing consultants bringing in $10K a day just to teach social media.)
In Part Two of this special report, we’ll get into how to use social media tools like Facebook,
Twitter, and LinkedIn to create four steady profit streams.
Yes, consulting as a “Social Media Expert” is one way. But, I’ll bet at least one of the other ways is
something you haven’t thought of yet. (And, it can mean $5,700 or more in passive income per month!)
Let’s dig in …
No matter if you want to make sales with social media, build brand buzz, create a better customer
experience, or accomplish one of the other eight goals, you can make a handsome living as a social
media consultant.
Social media consulting contracts for accomplishing these goals easily range from $2,500 to $12,000
per month – and some are much higher. Those don’t necessarily represent “full-time” arrangements,
either. You could have a number of clients at once.
Here’s even better news. You don’t have to be a complete guru. You just have to know how to help
your client define and accomplish their business goals through social media. And, with the step-by-step
directions in How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert, it’s simple.
Just follow the directions in the program and you’ll quickly be ahead of 90-95% of business people
in your social media expertise. Plus, you’ll be able to leverage your new knowledge into landing
well-paying social media consulting contracts.
All you have to do is give the program a try, risk-free, for the next six months.
PART TWO:
Make Money Using Social Media
Now, let’s get to the good stuff – why this means more money for you.
Once you “get” social media, you have multiple opportunities to profit. And, I’ll show you in
Part Three of this report how to “get” social media – how within 30 days you can have more
social media skills and knowledge than 90-95% of most people in business.
Then, with your new social media skills and expertise, you can begin collecting steady profits
using social media, taking advantage of these four opportunities …
OPPORTUNITY 1:
Would you like to land ongoing social media consulting contracts worth $2,500 to
as much as $12,000 or more per month (plus $300 per hour consulting gigs)? Once
you know how to accomplish certain business goals through social media, you can
command these fees as a “Social Media Expert.” (And, this can all happen a lot
quicker than you might think.)
OPPORTUNITY 2:
Already a successful freelancer? What if you could get your current clients to pay you
10-25% more on your current contracts? Or, an additional $300 per hour to talk with
them about social media strategy? Add these specific social media services to your
freelance “menu” and collect profits as your current clients seek your help moving to
social media.
OPPORTUNITY 3:
Want more clients for your freelance business? It doesn’t matter if you consult on
social media or not, it’s still becoming one of the easiest ways to land new gigs and
clients. Easy, that is, once you understand what works.
OPPORTUNITY 4:
This opportunity probably has the biggest upside profit potential. If you have a
Money-Making Website or self-publishing project, you can use the same skills you
would as a consultant but apply them to increasing your own website traffic and
sales. Passive profit streams of $5,700 and more are possible – or you could turn
this into your full-time business and collect much more!
We’ll look at each in more detail in just a minute. But first, I want to make an important point.
At a very minimum, every freelancer should start using social media to get clients.
And frankly, you should probably use it to grow your Money-Making Website and self-publishing
projects, too. (Still unsure what these are, or how to get started? Read more under Opportunity 4.)
As Michael Masterson consistently reminds us, creating one or more additional income streams is
the only way to get ahead in this or any market.
Then, you pick between opportunities 1 and 2 – would you rather be a full-time Social Media
Expert, or use Social Media to supplement your current freelance services?
Opportunity Spotlight:
Start Collecting
High-Dollar Consulting
Social Media Profits
as a Social Media Expert
In 30 Days Or Less
There are a few social media gurus
who’ve been playing the field for years I mentioned earlier in this report that Nick Usborne’s
How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert is
250 pages packed with “how to do it” information on
now. The top among them earn into the
right now”
and other social media sites – then making
sure they’re actually using these sites to
accomplish specific business goals. • Why adding social media to your freelance
services isn’t just about getting more
What you make and what your contracts money now … Hint, doing this now can
look like can vary dramatically. On the low make the client relationship multiple times
end, we’ve found $2,500-$5,000 per more profitable within just a couple of years
month for a basic service like launching a (or sooner)
And, simply getting on the phone with a client and talking to them about their social media strategy
for one hour (with no follow-up required) is worth a good $300 to many clients. And, if this seems
too high for you out of the gate, you should at a minimum be charging $150 per hour to be taken
seriously – because that’s about the lowest other serious social media consultants charge.
Section 7 of How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert gives you a complete rundown of
how to establish yourself (and land high-dollar contracts) as a Social Media Expert. You’ll learn:
13 steps from beginning to end for creating profits from social media consulting
Why choosing a niche now will mean more profits – even though it’s not required to
get started as a social media consultant
Does a website still matter for Social Media Experts? You may know the answer
already – but the reason why packs a few surprises
What to say when talking to a potential client to get them clamoring to hire you
The “role” question that means the success or failure of your social media projects
How to keep open-ended contracts from stealing all your free time (this simple
parameter will keep both you and your clients happy with your performance!)
The one high-value task you can charge a pretty penny for, that leads to the best
possible outcome for your consulting engagement
How to pick the social media sites that will be most successful for your client
The chart you can make for your client (and their employees) to show “who does
what” during your project – this keeps you out of a hornet’s nest, establishes
realistic expectations for everyone involved, and decreases your workload while
increasing the likelihood of runaway project success
The one thing you need to do to prove to clients you’re worth every penny
Expect the unexpected – especially in social media – and why a little openness to
change goes a long way to keeping clients happy
Because you already have a relationship with these clients, you have an advantage. You can
approach your client and tell them, “In addition to all the other good work I’ve been doing for
you, I can also help you with social media.” When they decide they need help, you’ll be first on
their list to turn to.
This provides you an opportunity to expand into social media, leveraging the connections and
relationships you’ve already worked so hard to build.
Not only that, each project you do for your current clients offers an opportunity to increase your
income from social media consulting. When you’re presenting your client with a proposal, why
not add an option to include tweets they can send out through Twitter, and updates they can
send out through Facebook? Why not include a special offer page they can temporarily add as
a tab on their Facebook Fan Page?
With just a little thought about how you could use social media to enhance your results, you can
add 10-25% to your project fee by layering social media elements on top of what you’re
currently doing.
This also opens the opportunities to do one-off consulting on social media strategy (you could
charge $300 for a one-hour phone strategy session) or bigger social media projects (the
$2,500 to $12,000 per month range applies here as well).
Section 8 of How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert shows you exactly how to add
social media consulting services to your current freelance services. And yes, it accounts for web
copywriters, web content writers, web designers, and researchers – and applies equally to other
freelancers whose clients are on the Web.
Here are just a few of the gems Nick reveals in the program:
Why your reputation as a serious web professional could hinge on how quickly you
add social media to your offerings (slow movers, beware!)
9 easy questions you can ask to add a social media component to any project
The hidden way offering social media services makes your client’s life easier (and
why this makes you far more valuable to them)
Why it’s even MORE important for content writers to include social media
components to their services
Google’s shaking in their boots … Is Social Media Optimization (SMO) the new
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? And, how does this help you make more
money as a freelancer?
5 ways to optimize your content and landing pages for social media – three are
common copywriting rules, the other two may surprise you
Freelance web designers: here are 7 projects to add to your services list
immediately to collect your slice of the social media money pie
For researchers: how to land ongoing contracts with previously one-off clients,
using social media
Finally, Nick also provides a direct recommendation for how to add social media services into
your current freelance offerings. His “positioning” approach can give you a huge advantage over
other freelancers who aren’t offering social media yet – and in a head-to-head situation, this
could be the deciding factor that leads to YOU getting the contract (and your competitor getting
the boot).
All you need to get started is covered in Section 8 of How To Make Money As A Social
Media Expert.
Opportunity Spotlight:
Land High-Paying Clients Through Social Media
Let’s shift gears. The first two opportunities were about how you could increase your own profits
by showing others how to build relationships, gain customers, and increase sales using social
media. This opportunity and the next one are about how you can grow your business and profits
directly using social media.
First, I want to show you something. Let’s say you typed “freelance copywriter” into Google.
You’d see that gives you about 374,000 results, plus a truckload of ads (see the screenshot on
the next page):
That means if you want to get your website to come up near the top of Google, you’re in for a
fight. Yes, you should have a website. But, optimizing it for search engines (or paying for it to
show up at the top of the ads) isn’t necessarily your best approach for getting clients anymore.
(And, by the way – it doesn’t matter if you’re a freelance copywriter, designer, researcher, or
even a job-hunter – the techniques I’m about to show you for landing clients and gigs work
across the board.)
Do this instead. Create your website. Make it the best possible sales message to get clients
interested in your services. Then … And this is the important part … Use social media to
connect with potential clients and get them interested enough in you to visit your website.
In fact, this new process is exactly what many freelancers dream of … A way to get out of cold-
calling while still getting a steady stream of new clients. The beauty of it? It takes the selling out
of selling yourself. Here’s how it works:
1. Find your ideal clients through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn Groups, or through
whatever other social media site they’re participating in.
2. Start engaging with the conversation they’re already having. Retweet their best
tweets. Comment on their fan page. Provide thoughtful and compelling additions to
their group discussions. Connect with them as an industry peer through social media.
4. You’ll notice these ideal clients start to pay attention to what you’re doing (because
you’re following the directions in How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert).
They’ll start to engage in your conversations and get to know you. They’ll also
check out your website to get more info on what you do.
5. Be ready, because at any time, this conversation can turn into an inquiry for your
services, or an offer for a gig.
Sure, this process looks like the slow way to go. And, to some degree – it is. It’s not quite
picking up the phone and selling your services. Though its’ true power comes because it takes
advantage of the natural relationship-building power of social media.
The “rules of engagement” for social media – this simplifies everything and makes it
clear the one thing you need to do to succeed
You have two audiences you can reach through social media – this “mental switch”
between audiences controls how profitable your social media efforts will be
The one thing you can do to easily put yourself on the radar of anyone you’d like
using Twitter and other social media tools
Why social media makes promoting your freelance business easier than it’s ever
been – and the one secret that makes all your self-promotion welcome in the eyes
of your prospects
What to do on your website to be more popular on social media (this can make
your social media connections AND your website visitors more likely to promote
you to their connections through social media)
The button you can put on your website’s content pages that makes it 1-click easy
for visitors to share YOU with their friends and business associates – and when
they do, it will give you a Bing bump in the search results
The forgotten social media sites that can add website traffic, clients, and profits –
stepping “out of the box” and also participating in these sites is a simple way to
give your freelance biz a competitive advantage
You have two options here. One, you can start promoting your freelance business through social
media now, to get ahead before it’s an absolute business requirement. Or two, you can wait until
you’re feeling the pain because you’re not yet on social media, and play “catch up.”
Either way, freelancers who want to stay in business will need to be active in social media within
the next couple of years. Why not do it now and be ahead of the game? And, do it right, using
the specific process outlined in How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert.

Either way, you can increase profits by getting more targeted visitors to your website.
You can use the same social media skills you develop for consulting with clients and promoting
your freelance business to promote your Money-Making Websites and self-publishing projects.
After adding social media to his Money-Making Website, Nick now gets about 50% of his
visitors every month through Twitter, Facebook and other social media. (This means he’s
probably about doubled his monthly passive income from adding social media.)
Nick promotes the site through special social media profiles he’s set up. His connections and
website visitors promote his site through their own social media profiles and networks. The
reach he’s obtained through social media would cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars per
month through traditional advertising. But, it’s costing him just a little time, and that’s all.
Using what you learn in Section 10 of How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert, you can
copy what Nick is doing to create more passive income and profits for yourself. Some of the
lessons that jumped out at me (that would take too much room to cover here) are:
One big question, answered: When to (and when not to) create separate social
media accounts for your Money-Making Websites and self-publishing projects
How to blur the lines between your website and social media presence – and
increase reader engagement, sharing, traffic, and profits as a result
How to optimize your site for social media – with or without a blog
The hidden social media multiplier – this piles influence upon influence through your
social media network (and can increase your site traffic exponentially)
The “other” media you can put on your Money-Making Website that turns you into a
social media traffic magnet
A surprising productivity tool that social media users LOVE to share (every time
they do, that’s another potential visitor for your site!)
Where to copy your website content to attract thousands of readers – and how to
get them to visit your site (plus follow you on Twitter, Facebook, and other social
media sites)
Why good content shared through social media will increase your search engine
traffic, too
If you want maximum profits and spare-time, passive income going forward, the new “social
media requirement” matters as much to your Money-Making Websites and self-publishing
projects as it does to any business. Luckily, with How To Make Money As A Social Media
Expert, you have a roadmap to follow.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – it’s risk-free to try for the next six months. You owe it to
yourself to at least give the “easy way” a try – and put Nick’s approach to work so you can prove
it to yourself how well it works.
Yet, simply knowing about these opportunities isn’t enough. You have to know the right
way to use social media to start collecting substantial profits from these opportunities.
And, in Part Three of this report I’m going to show you the shortest path you can take to becoming
a Social Media Expert – so you can maximize the income you get from each profit stream.
Yes, I know there’s a lot of hype around social media. Frankly, there are echoes of the “dot com”
era when it seemed like any unprofitable company with a website was getting millions in
investment capital – now the same thing has happened in social media.
What we learned when the “dot com” fantasy crashed and burned was that companies survived
and profited online by getting real business results. Part Three shows you how to turn off all the
hype and noise – so you have the clearest path to achieving business results and lasting social
media success.
EXPOSED:
A Dirty Little Social Media Secret
A dirty little secret about social media is: speed matters.
Let me explain. One of the reasons Comcast has been so successful with providing customer
support through Twitter is because they respond to most complaints within about 10 minutes
of the initial tweet — while it’s still fresh.
Social media is an active conversation. Wait too long and the topic changes — your reply
loses relevance.
That’s a little like the decision I’m asking you to make today. I’m asking you to jump in and try
How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert risk-free on our six-month guarantee.
By trying it now, you’ll be on the front of the growing wave of Social Media Experts. You’ll have
time to build your relevance and reputation. You’ll be first in line in connecting with your ideal
clients. And, you’ll have a bigger, more lasting presence for your personal projects as well.
You have an opportunity — today — to get in while this conversation is hot. Doing so will give
you a major advantage over those who wait. Speed matters.
PART THREE:
Make Money Using Social Media
If you want to make serious profits using social media … From $2,500 to $12,000 a month as
a consultant, and $5,700 or more in passive income by adding it to your personal projects …
Then you have to learn how to use social media to accomplish business results.
And, who knows? With a little experience, you could become one of those consultants making
upwards of $10K a day just to teach social media to business executives.
Another added it as a specialty to their MBA program, requiring you to take a year-
and-a-half out of your life (attending full-time) to begin establishing yourself as a
social media professional
But, you can ignore these costs and time commitments – it’s not going to cost you that
much or take you that long. In fact, in the pages of How To Make Money As A Social Media
Expert, web writing and marketing expert Nick Usborne lays out a step-by-step process you
can take to …
This doesn’t mean you should go from nothing to calling yourself an expert in 30 days.
But, within those 30 days, you’ll be building social media skills and expertise that you can use
to start accomplishing business goals using social media. Then, as you start to apply these skills
for your clients and in your personal projects, you’ll have real results to show.
(The great thing about this is if you can follow the system, you can get the results!)
And, the results you get for clients will earn you the “expert” reputation – without you ever having
to call yourself one.

Then, of course, you can offer to do it for them – and land large, ongoing projects where you

if he was sure about that, because it’s quite a commitment. Here is what he said …
“Social media is moving so fast. When people buy the program, I want to be sure they also get
access to what’s new … what’s happening this month, and next month. One month, we’ll maybe
look at some new services or tools that have just been launched. Another month we could look
at trends, or evolving best practices.
“In addition, I want to create a place and time where people can ask me questions, live, as part
of a group. That way, everyone can hear the questions, and benefit from the answers.
“Besides which – this is social media – so it makes sense to make the bonus social!”

2. I have some social media experience – is this still for me? Compare this to
swimming. You can spend years swimming for fun, and never learn to compete like a
champion swimmer. Even with your current level of social media experience, you’ll still
benefit from the specific skills, techniques, and strategies taught in How To Make Money
As A Social Media Expert.
3. Can I really get started in 30 days? Absolutely! And, it should only take 20-30
minutes every day of dedicated study and practice. Of course, if you’d like to get
started quicker, you can do that, too – a serious student could tackle this program
in a weekend.
5. Can I collect profits from social media part-time, on the side? What about
full-time? Many social media networks are most active during off-hours.This makes it a
great opportunity to do on the side, in addition to full-time work. Of course, you can
also turn it into a full-time income, too – plenty of consultants are now making their
entire career in social media.
6. How much can I make? Like many other consulting arrangements, the amount
you make is mostly limited by your imagination. Common fees though range from
$2,500to $12,000 as a monthly retainer on big projects, plus $300 per hour for
one-off consulting. Add social media to your personal projects, too, and you can
create additional income of $5,700 and more through Money-Making Websites and
self-publishing.
7. What industries and niches are hiring? Social media is the new business
requirement. This means in just about every industry and niche, businesses are moving
to social media and looking for help to do it right.Though within How To Make Money
As A Social Media Expert, Nick lists a handful of industries actively developing their social
media strategies, that are already spending plenty on freelancers as well.
8. If I start now, where will I be in one year? Five years? Social media is only
growing. Soon, nearly 100% of Internet users will be on social media, based on current
trends. With that audience at stake, businesses will only be increasing their presence
and investment in social media. In one year, you may be able to replace your current
income using the four social media profit streams. In five years, the demand for your
services may be well beyond what you can keep up with. Because social media is
becoming so integrated into everything online, the long-term prospects for Social
Media Experts are glowing.
9. Why should I jump in now? In Part One of this report, I demonstrated social media’s
transition from a novelty to a business requirement.Within two years, social media
won’t be an option any more than a website is an option today. You have the choice to
learn it now while you can stay ahead, or learn it later when you’re playing catch up.
How To Make Money As A Social Media Expert lets you learn it today – and further, to put
yourself ahead of 90-95% of business people in your skills and expertise.
