Punch Petals by Valita Reynolds 2011

Introducing some ideas for making flower petals using non flower punches by taking
advantage of the beautiful edges on some of the stampin up punches!

This first flower is made with the

Scallop oval punch, follow the
cutting lines in the pic for each
petal, you will need 8. The leaf is
made using the second largest
2010 Heirloom ornament die
from spellbinders.

Use a ¾” or 1” circle to mount

your petals onto for all 3 flowers.
This one has a 1” circle for the
front centre

This second flower is made with

the Modern label punch, a punch
you wouldn’t normally think to
make a flower with! Follow the
cutting lines in the pic, you will
need 8. So punch 4 labels bundle
them all together and make your
cuts then they will all turn out the
same. ½” circle for the front
centre mines glittered. The leaf is
done the same as the first flower
petals.
This last flower is made with the
extra large decorative label punch.
Follow the cutting lines in the pic
and you will need 5. The leaf is
made with the ornament punch.
For something different I used a
brad for the centre and added
some glitter spots.

If you don’t have the extra large

decorative label punch then this
curly label punch is a great
alternative just a few less frills!
Here you will find an overall look at the flowers and some alterative petal sizes to try
