We are presently locked in the
cold, darkness of winter,
buried under snow and ice
and yet we can begin to see
that the days are growing
undeniably longer. With more
sunshine we all begin to long
for warm weather and new life.
Hope wells up for something
better. This natural
phenomenon is a reminder
that Jesus comes into the
darkness and hopelessness of
our life and is our light. He is
our hope and He says to all, “I
am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not
walk in darkness, but will have
the light of life.” John 8:12

This past month’s happenings

under about 5 feet of snow. After getting it dug out,
we had several problems with starting it, but finally
got that resolved. Then we needed to get a
technical inspection because ours had expired.
This took two days, including some more repair
work. One last needed task was to actually transfer
the title of the car into our name. Because of our
foreign status the car had originally been titled in
our friend Svetaʼs name. The re-titling and
registration took another day, plus 1/2 a day at the
insurance agency for a new policy. Nothing is easy
or quick here.
