Production cycle

Introduction--- The term production cycle refers to the whole process

by which a product or service comes in the light. It involves various

stages through which a product or service is prepared. In this cycle a

product or service goes through mainly six stages. These six stages are

compulsory for the initiation of any product or service.

STAGE 1 –IDENTIFY THE NEEDS-

In this stage a product or service provider identifies the needs of the

consumers. In market place or through any other source he gets to know
what the consumers want. It may be a new product or an existing
product or service.
STAGE 2- MARKET RESEARCH-

In second stage he identifies if the needs of consumer is real or

ignorable. He goes through the market research to know it. Market
research means to get the information or feedback about that particular
product. Through retailers, distributers, customers or surveys he
identifies the real need or changing or modification of a product.

STAGE 3- DESIGN DEPARTMENT-

At the third stage the concept of new product goes to the design
department. Here they decide that how will the product be. They
prepare the design and look of the product. They point out the needs to
be changed in an existing product or the features to be added in the new
product. They shape the new product according to the consumer needs.

STAGE 4- PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT-

After finalizing the product design, the idea of new product goes to the
production department. Production department gives it a final shape.
Production department removes the faults and ads new designed
features in the existing products or makes a new product as suggested
by the designing department.
STAGE 5- TEST PRODUCTION –

After finalizing the product it is send to the market as a sample to check

it validity. If the consumers are satisfied with the product and the results
are positive, the product gets it final approval for bulk production. If the
testing results are negative or the consumers are still not satisfied with
the product, the product again goes through the step no. 1. And the
whole process starts again.

STAGE 6- FINAL PRODUCTION-

If the results in testing production are positive, the new product gets the
nod for final production. Now the product is ready to be launched in the
market in bulk size. It is available for the consumers in any amount
according to their needs. And it is said that the new product exists in the
market for consumers.
