have a heydey when it comes to furnish
Ing a dollhouse. Suddenly there's a use
for those beads stashed away in a junk-
jewelry drawer, for the plastic boxes
and hottles so cleverly shaped you
‘couldn't bear to throw them out, even
for scraps of gift wrap too small to use
for most gifts but caxelully guarded
anyway. They become decanters, drawer
pulls, stools, wall and floor coverings
and myriad other things. Washers, nuts,
paper dips, container tops, bits of petit
point canvas, wooden swab sticks—al:
‘most everything, that is small, slim, cw
table or stackable is raw material for
chairs, lamps, tables, bookends
You can have just as much fan with
interior decoration. For wall paintings
cat color reproductions from art magi
zines (museum posteards are also suit
able) and glue them to Bristol board. Ir
you wish, frame with balsa wood. Just
as in our own homes, real plants add
warmth and vitality. Gut snippets from
large plants or seleet long-lasting suc-
ceulents in a scale that suits your doll
house. As you look at the different
