curved -- onto each "face."

Yoga Postures Step-by-Step cont. 11-20

11. Garuda – asana

Posture: Garuda-asana - The Eagle Pose

Translation:
The Sanskrit word garuda means eagle. In Hindu mythology
Garuda is known as the king of birds. He transports the God
Vishnu (shown with a bow and arrow in the illustration to the
left) and is said to be eager to help humanity fight againt
deamons.
Pronunciation: ga-roo-dah-sa-na
Difficulty: (3)
Instructions:

25
1. Lie flat on the back in the shava-asana (corpse pose).
2. Stand with the feet together and the arms by your sides (see the
tad-asana).
3. Draw the left foot upward bending the knee and wrap the left foot
around your right
leg as you rest the back of your left thigh on the right thigh.
4. Cross your arms at the elbows, left over right.
5. Join the palms of your hands together keeping the fingers pointed
upward.
6. Inhale and hold the posture for the duration of the inhaled breath.
7. Exhale and return to the tada-asana. Repeat the posture on the
opposite side,
wrapping the right leg over the left and the right arm over left.

Comments:
The Garuda-asana will strengthen the legs, knees and ankles. It stretches
and tones muscles of the leg and can help relieve cramps of the legs.

Duration/Repetitions:
Hold the hala-asana for as long as you are comfortable. 20-30 seconds is
fine for early attempts, increase the time gradually as you become more
comfortable. You can also try holding the posture for as long as you can
hold the inhaled breath. Repeat 2 or 3 times on each leg.

12. Gomukha - asana

Posture: Gomukha-asana - The Cow face Pose

Translation:
The Sanskrit word garuda means eagle. In Hindu mythology
Garuda is known as the king of birds. He transports the God
Vishnu (shown with a bow and arrow in the illustration to the
left) and is said to be eager to help humanity fight againt
deamons.
Pronunciation: ga-roo-dah-sa-na

26
Difficulty: (3)
"Placing the right ankle on the left side and the left ankle on the
right side, makes Gomukha-asana, having the appearance of a
cow."
Hatha-yoga-pradipika I.22
Instructions:
1. Sit in a crossed-leg position, right leg over left.
2. Spread the legs as far apart as possible without bending the knees.
3. Bend the left knee and place the bottom of the left foot against the
inner left thigh.
Bring the left heel as close to the perineum as possible. Keep the left knee
on the
floor.
4. Grasp the right foot with the left hand and keeping the foot on the floor
place the heel
of the right foot against the front-left portion of the left buttock. The right
knee should
be directly on top of the left knee..
5. Inhale slowly through the nostrils and raise the right hand over the head
and bend the
right elbow. Reach behind the back with the left hand and clasp the fingers
of both
hands (forming an "s" shaped lock).
6. Hold the posture as long as you can comfortably hold the inhale breath.
Exhale slowly
and then repeat the posture reversing the arms and legs.

Comments:
This posture stretches the arms, upper back, chest and the sides of the
chest and abdomen. As the
shoulder blades are stretched backward the lungs are expanded and as
the abdominal muscles are lifted the stomach is toned. It helps to relieve
neck strain, backache and tight shoulders. The hands, fingers and wrists

27
are strengthened.

Duration/Repetitions:
You can either hold the posture while the breath is held or you can try
holding the posture while breathing gently through the nostrils. If you
choose to breath, then hold the posture for thirty seconds to a minute.
Repeat the gomukha-asana two to three times on each side.

Variations:
If you are unable to lock the fingers behind the back you may grasp one
end of a small piece of cloth in the right hand and the other end of the
cloth in the left hand.

13. Hala - asana

Posture: Hala-asana - The Plow Pose

Translation:
The The Sanskrit word Hala means plow, as in a traditional
plow that is drawn by a horse or oxen. When performing this
posture your body resembles a plow.
Pronunciation: hull-ah-sa-na
Difficulty: (5)

Instructions:
1. Lie flat on the back in the shava-asana (the corpse pose).
2. Inhale through the nostrils. Place the palms face-down on the floor.
Keeping the hips
on the floor, bend the knees and bring them up toward the stomach while
exhaling.
3. Inhale, then while exhaling, raise the legs straight up perpendicular to
the floor. You
may support your hips with your hands or leave the arms flat on the floor,
whichever is most comfortable.
4. Exhale and continue to raise the legs over the head, bending at the

28
waist, lifting the back and buttocks until the toes touch the floor directly in
back of the head. Keep the feet together. If the lower back is supported
by the hands try returning the arms flat to the floor with the palms facing
down. If you are unable to comfortably place the arms on the floor
continue to support the lower back with the hands.
5. Keep the knees straight. Breath slowly through the nostrils and hold the
posture for several minutes. If you cannot touch the floor with your toes
hold them as close to the floor as possible and continue to exert effort to
lower them.
6. Reverse the steps to return to the shava-asana.

Comments:
The benefits of this posture, like the sarvanga-asana, are numerous. All of
the muscles and ligaments in the calves and thighs are stretched resulting
in greater leg flexibility. People suffering from leg cramps will find great
relief from the hala-asana.
Since the abdominal area is contracted, blood compressed out of this
area releases toxins and when the contraction is released the area is
flooded with richly oxygenated blood. The contraction also helps to relieve
gas and stimulates a sluggish digestive system. Similar effects take place
as the neck and chest area is compressed effecting the throat, thyroid,
hyperthyroid and lungs. Upper and lower back pain or discomfort is
relieved due to the forward stretching of the spine.
It is highly recommended that this posture be accompanied by the
sarvanga-asana. In fact, many of the benefits of the sarvanga-asana apply
to the hala-asana as well with the added benefits detailed above. The
hala-asana is an excellent morning posture although some might find it
more difficult then. During sleep the spine can become somewhat
compressed resulting in the experience of tightness or stiffness in the
back. A few repetitions of the hala-asana will quickly restore flexibility to
the spine as well as promote alertness.

Duration/Repetitions:
Hold the hala-asana for as long as you are comfortable. 20-30 seconds is

29
fine for early attempts, increase the time gradually as you become more
comfortable.

Variations:
There are several variations of the basic hala-asana each of which require
greater flexibility in the spine and legs. Once one is adept at performing
this asana these variations may be tried. The first entails swinging the
arms around and either touching or grasping the toes with the hands (1).
The posture is thenheld in this position. (illustrated above)
Another variation calls for dropping the knees to the ground and placing
them close the ears and keeping the arms extended on the floor (2). And
finally from this variation the arms are swung around and placed over the
legs behind the knees and the hands are clasped and pressed down on
the knees to hold them firmly on the floor (3). All three variations are held
while breathing gently gently through the nostrils.

Cautions/Restrictions:
The hala-asana should not be performed by woman who are menstruating,
as is the case with all inverted postures (where the legs are raise over the
head). No other restrictions apply.

14. Hasta – pada – angusta - asana

Posture:
Hasta-pada-angusta-asana
The Hand-Foot-Big Toe Pose
Translation:
The Sanskrit word hasta means hand, pada means foot, and
angusta means big toe therefore this is the hand-foot-big toe
posture.
Pronunciation: ha-sta-pah-don-goo-stah-sa-na

Difficulty: (3)
Instructions:

30
1. Sit on the floor with the legs together and extended straight out in front.
Keep the
back straight, shoulders level and head straight. Place the hands, palms
down, flat on
top of the thighs.
2. Spread the legs as far apart as possible without bending the knees.
3. Bend the left knee and place the bottom of the left foot against the
inner left thigh.
Bring the left heel as close to the perineum as possible. Keep the left knee
on the
floor.
4. Stretch both arms straight out in front of you, then keeping the back
straight turn
slowly at the waist toward the right aligning the arms with the right leg.
5. Inhale slowly while raising the arms over the head and arching the back.
6. Exhale and slowly while bending forward bringing the chest down to the
right thigh.
Clasp the big toe of the right foot with the first finger of both hands. Hold
this position
for the duration of the exhaled breath.
7. Inhale slowly through the nostrils releasing the posture while sitting up
straight.
8. Straighten the left leg and return to the seated position described in
step 2 then
repeat the posture, this time bending the right leg.

Comments:
The benefits of the hasta-pada-angusta-asana are similar to those of the
ugra-asana (i.e.: spinal stretch, abdominal toning, gastro-intestinal
stimulation). There is additional stretching of the leg that is
outstretched as well as to the groin.

Duration/Repetitions:
Repeat two or three times on each leg.

31
15. Matsya - sana

Posture: Matsya-asana - The Fish Pose

Translation:
The Sanskrit word matsya means fish, therefore this is the fish
posture. Matsya (depicted to the left) is a divine being, found in
Hindu mythology, that saved mankind from a universal flood.
Pronunciation: maht-see-yah-sa-na
Difficulty: (3)

Instructions:
1. Lie flat on the back in the shava-asana.
2. Keeping the buttocks on the floor, inhale and raise the head, shoulders,
back and
upper arms off the floor arching the back and raising the chest up. Tilt the
head back
and place the top of the head flat on the floor.
3. Raise the elbows off the floor bring your hands up just below the chest
and join them
at the palms with the fingers pointing straight up (form the anjali-mudra or
salutation
hand gesture). Hold for the duration of the inhale breath or breath gently
through the
nostrils to remain in the posture longer.
4. Return to the shava-asana.

Comments:
The matsya-asana creates a great expansion and stretching of the chest
which helps relieve upper
respiratory congestion as well as benefits the heart. Additionally, the sinus
are drained and opened from the inversion of the head, stretching of the
neck and pressure placed on the top of the head. The thyroid and
parathyroid glands are stimulated as well.

32
Duration/Repetitions:
Since this is not a difficult posture, it is recommended that you breath
while holding it for between two and four minutes. If you are
uncomfortable breathing, hold the posture for the duration of the inhaled
breath. Repeat two or three times.

Variations:
There is one major variation in the matsya-asana and it is a bit more
challenging than the one described above (illustrated above). It calls for
beginning the posture in padma-asana or the full lotus seated
posture and then lying flat on the back while the legs are still locked. From
there on the posture is done the same way as described above.

16. Naga - asana

Posture: Naga-asana - The Cobra Pose

Translation:
The Sanskrit word naga means snake or serpent. The nagaasana
is also known as the bhujanga-asana. The Sanskrit word
bhujanga, which also means snake, is derived from the root
bhuj which means to bend or curve.
Pronunciation: na-gah-sa-na
Difficulty: (4)
"Let the body, from navel to toes, touch the ground, the palms placed
upon the
ground, and raise gently the upper part of the body (from navel to head)
like a snake.
This posture increases the gastric fire; it destroys all diseases and by
constant practice
leads to the awakening of Kundalini."
The Gheranda-samhita II.42-43.

Instructions:

33
1. Lie on the stomach with the head turned to one side and the arms
alongside the body
with palms facing upward.
2. Turn the head and place the chin on the floor. Inhale then exhale slowly
through the
nostrils and swing the arms around until the hands are placed just below
the chin with
the palms down and the finger tips of each hand almost touching and the
elbows on the floor.
3. Inhale slowly through the nostrils, press down on the hands and lift the
torso from the waist up off the floor, arching the spine backwards and
straightening the arms. Keep the hips on the floor.
4. Tilt the head as far back as possible and hold the posture for the
duration of the inhaled breath.
5. Exhale and reverse the process to return to position #1.

Comments:
If you find it uncomfortable holding the breath while the posture is held,
breath gently through the nostrils. Some may find that they are able to
arch the spine back even more than in the initial arch in step
3. In this case try "walking" the hands toward the pelvic region and
stretching the head further back. In addition to the obvious benefits to the
spine and lower back, the standard variation of the naga-asana
strengthens the wrists and stretches the muscles in the chest. By
maintaining a constant exertion to create a greater arch in the spine, the
stomach and pelvic muscles are strengthened. Greater strength inthese
areas can be cultivated by performing the variation where the arms remain
on the ground. B.K.S. Iyengar, a renowned expert in yoga-asanas, claims
that displaced spinal discs can be placed back in their original position by
practicing the naga-asana.

Duration/Repetitions:
Hold the posture for either the duration of a held inhaled breath or from
one-half to three minutes. Repeat the naga-asana two to five times.

34
17. Nataraja - asana

Posture:
Nataraja-asana
The King of the Dance Pose
Translation:
The Sanskrit word nata means dancer and raja means king.
Nataraja is another name for Shiva, the Lord of the Dance,
whose cosmic dance is the creation and destruction of the
world.
Pronunciation: nah-tah-raj-ah-sa-na
Difficulty: (3)

Instructions:
1. Stand with the feet together and the arms by your sides (see the
tad-asana).
2. Inhale and bend the right leg backward grasping the left foot with your
left hand while simultaneously extending the right arm straight out in front.
3. Continue raising the right arm upward until it is about 45 degrees from
the floor while lifting the left leg as high as possible with the left arm.
4. Hold the posture while breathing gently through the nostrils. Keep your
gaze fixed slightly above the horizon.
5. Remain in the nataraja-asana for about one minute then return slowly to
a standing position. Repeat by reversing directions 2-4.

Comments:
Perform the nataraja-asana gracefully as if dancing, yet firmly with focused
attention.
This posture helps to strengthen your sense of balance and concentration.
The arch formed by the back and stretched leg gently aligns the vertebrae
of the spine restoring suppleness and easing strain caused by poor
posture or long periods of sitting. It tones the muscles of the hips and
legs as well as stimulates the chest muscles.

35
Duration/Repetitions:
Begin by holding the nataraja-asana for about a minute and gradually
increase the time as you become more comfortable with this posture.
Repeat it three times on each side, alternately from right to left.

18. Padmasana – The Lotus Posture

Posture: Padma-asana - The Lotus Posture

Translation:
The Sanskrit word naga means snake or serpent. The nagaasana
is also known as the bhujanga-asana. The Sanskrit word
bhujanga, which also means snake, is derived from the root
bhuj which means to bend or curve.
Pronunciation: pud-mah-sa-na
Difficulty: (2-6) depending on flexibility of legs

Instructions:
1. Sit on the floor with the legs stretched out straight in front.
2. Bend the right knee and grasp the right foot with both hands and place
it on top of the left thigh bringing the heel as close to the navel as
possible.
3. Bend the left knee and grasp the left foot with both hands and place it
on top of the right thigh bringing the heel as close to the navel as
possible.
4. Both knees should be on the ground and the soles of the feet are
pointed upward. The spine is held straight but not rigid.
5. The position of the legs may be switched after a period of time if the
posture becomes uncomfortable.

Comments:
When in the padma-asana the hands can be placed in one of the following
three positions:
• Place one hand on top of the other, both palms up, and rest the hands

36
on the heels (this is known as the dhyana-mudra). This variation is
recommended for meditation.
• Place the hands on the knees, palms down.
• With palms up, place the hands on the knees, form a circle with the
thumb and forefinger and extend the remaining fingers straight ahead (this
is known as the chin-mudra). Recommended for pranayama (Yogic
breathing).
The padma-asana facilitates relaxation, concentration and ultimately,
meditation. The posture creates a natural balance throughout the
body/mind. When the knees are stretched enough to remain in the
padma-asana without discomfort the posture creates a feeling of
effortlessness and ease that will soothe the nervous system, quiet the
mind and bring about the condition of one-pointedness.

Duration/Repetitions:
The length of time to sit in the padma-asana depends on your intention. In
the course of a typical asana routine you might hold it for several minutes
or until you experience discomfort in the legs. When used as a meditation
posture you hold it for the duration of the meditation.

Variations:
If you find the padma-asana difficult or painful, can try the ardha
padma-asana variation or half lotus posture (ardha means half). Instead of
placing both feet on the thighs, only one foot is place on top of the
opposite thigh and the other is place under the opposite thigh. Periodically
alternate positions to allow both knees to be stretched. Those who are
unable to do either variation of this asana comfortably should practice the
baddha kona-asana.

19. Parivritta-parshvakona-asana

Posture:
Parivritta-parshvakona-asana
The Turned Side-Angle Pose

37
Translation: The Sanskrit word parivritta means revolved, turned round or
back, parsva means side and kona means angle.
Pronunciation: par-ee-vrit-ah parsh-va-cone-ah-sa-na
Difficulty: (6)

Instructions:
1. Stand with the feet together and the arms by your sides (see the
tad-asana).
2. Inhale and spread your legs apart slightly further than shoulder distance
(about 3-4 feet).
3. Stretch your arms straight out from the shoulders parallel to the floor
with your palms facing down.
4. Exhale slowly and turn your right foot toward the right 90 degrees.
Bend your right knee about 90 degrees.
5. Place the palm of your left hand flat on the floor next to the outside of
your right foot. Rest the right elbow on the outside of the right knee.
6. Stretch the right arm over your head, parallel with the floor, with the
inside of the elbow resting on the ear. Hold for abot 30-60 seconds while
breathing gently through the nostrils.
7. Slowly return to a standing position and repeat on the other side
reversing directions 2-6.

Comments:
The parivritta-parshvakona-asana stretches the muscle group along the
side of the torso. It strengthens the ankles, claves and thighs as well as
the arms. It is also an excellent posture to tone the muscles in the waist
and hips. This posture also strengthens the digestive system and thus
aids digestion, stimulates blood circulation and assists in restoring
strength and flexibility to the spine.

Duration/Repetitions:
Hold the posture for as long as is comfortable. Performing the
parivritta-purvashakona-asana once on each side is considered one
repetition. Do 2 or 3 repetitions.

The Scent Of Flowers In Bloom
by Christopher Stewart

I recall the perfume of flowers forgotten

That infused my heart with fiery passion
Wafting aloft and all over
Mirrored in all intuition
Fear for myself no more echoes
As I soar high over abyss
Burning my fire I have not lost
For I have not misplaced your kiss
As I inhale the scent of flowers in bloom
Thoughts creative stay in motion

39
Compassionate universal
Kind in oceans of perception
And sunlight warms all directions
United in common continuum
We must nurture our creations
For we are here to love freedom

Alone
by AngelusWolfStorm

Alone is how I feel

Alone is where I sit
Alone the pain comes
Alone my mind thinks

Alone I know I am not

Alone cant beat me
Alone wont rule me
Alone can leave

Good Girl Gone Bad

Bad Girl gone Good
Falling apart I am
Falling together i must

40
Pain is Pain
Hurt is hurt
Broken is what I am
Together I shall make

To someone I shall belong

Only in time can the broken heal
Never good enough
Hopefully will be good enough now

Staying strong
Standing firm
Haunting images in my mind
Tears from my eyes
Devastation in my heart

Love will find me

Love will pick me up
To someone I will belong

The sadness shall disappear

The Aloneness shall disappear
The Pain shall disappear
And when I wake up
Ill feel brand new

A Night At The Museum
September 20, 2010

Sprinting through the dark, wood clad hallways, the two men barely glanced at the
dust draped exhibits either side of them. “Dave” The trailing figure yelled, “Take a
right” as he pointed toward a large set of double doors approaching on their right.
Bursting through the doorway they stumbled to a halt as a figure in the middle of the
room turned toward them. With a guttural scream the leading man swung the small
hatchet in a giant arc, burying the blade deep into the creature’s skull, collapsing it to
the floor and yanking the wooden handle from his hand as it fell to the floor. Planting
his foot on the now still face, he grabbed the protruding handle and pulled upwards.
As he strained to free the weapon a loud crash echoed from a side door to the room.
Eyes widening, he pulled harder, trying to free the blade locked in place by bone and
muscle.
The door smashed inward, followed immediately by several stumbling figures, causing
Dave to let go of the axe and turn toward the third entryway to the room.As he ran
toward the door he yelled at his companion, who remained motionless watching the
ghoulish figures pour into the room with wild eyed fear.
“Mark! Mark! Get over here man, we have to GO!” he screamed, slamming his
shoulder into the door and throwing it open. With a start, Mark blinked, swore and
sprinted for the door, diving through into the darkness as the door slammed closed
behind him. Scrambling to his feet he turned and saw Dave, bracing against the door
as the first of the undead slammed into it. As the door shook and the pounding
increased, Mark slowly backed away. “Mark, give me a hand, please, help me hold this
shut! Get that bookcase, that will slo.. Where are you going, no, NO, COME BACK!”
Dave’s screams echoed down the hallway as Mark sprinted away toward the museum
exit. As he reached the exterior doorway the echoing screams abruptly stopped.
Without a second look back, Mark pushed through the door and ran out into the
early dawn.

The Magick of Solomon

By: Runyon Poke

I have come to thoroughly enjoy this book, it

give's a diffrent view from what we
commonly see through the Hermitic
teachings such as the Golden Dawn, And
has put to gather an extensive book that will
open your mind to new ways of doing your
ritual work, especially for those that do work
with Goetia and even Enochian work, also his research also shows many
of the ways the other orders have purposely omitted & changed
documents so that other's may not delve into the areas of these magic's.

Within this book you will find the right ways of using the Teragrammaton
and learn how to create the Almadel of Angel's which was not shown or

45
explained in printed works but was found in the original manuscripts that
was latter copied by Mather's and published. Even extensive work on
skrying is laid out in this book. For me I feel that it is a most own for any
one's personal library and one to research further into and experiment
with. I may not have agreed with everything that is in this book but I do
feel strongly that there is a lot to learn from it. With that said this is not a
book for those with close mind's or for one's that do not know what they
are doing.

I give this book 4 1/2 star's just for the extensive research that was done
and the fact that it brings about new concepts that are in truth the old
ways of doing things, which in this day of age is very hard to find, and truly
is needed.

This month has been a month that to focus on ning and all the things I
could complain about would be a crime when our focus should be on
those who have been hurt by the recent devastation in Japan, once
again I see all of our sites coming together and doing all that we can
even if it is to just have a support group & a place to leave our well
wish & our prayers for all those that have been effect by this. Once
again it shows how much our sites can contribute to the many things
that affect the world around us, lets not stop doing this for it does
make a difference.

Let us also focus on those that we love this month our friends &
family those that mean the world to us, for we never know when they
will no longer be with us or they move on, take it from someone that
knows what it is like to say something that you regret and not to be
able to apologize or make amend's for it. In the end our friends &
love ones are all that we have & all that matter, there the one's there
for us when we need them the most so let us focus on them this
month.

WOOD LORE AND USES FOR THE SPRING EQUINOX

BY Shadow Mage
Sources: Celtic Tree Lore by Sarah the Swampwitch.
Spring, often called a time of renewal, when dark and light are in equal
balance with each other and dark is steadily turning back to the light. A
time when death is being left behind for new life, when flowers start to
blossom and life renews itself in many different ways. All around new life
is coming up from the ground in the form of flowers and baby animals
are in abundance. The god is coming into power and the goddess is seen
as a young maiden.
Spring is common in what can be found on a ritual alter as well, ranging
from eggs, seeds, and other images of fertility. There is a playfulness
and sensuality to Spring and a lightening of the heart as things emerge
from darkness and slumber to once again show life.
There are two main woods that are featured for this time of year as well,

61
along with their herbal and magical uses. I will touch briefly on each one.
Ash is a powerful wood often used for protection from various ailments
and is a powerful protection when made into various tools. One is said to
be more productive as well as better protected. Ash is also used in
healing rituals due to it’s healing and protective attributes.
Alder is also a protective wood, but is also a good wood for summoning
and control. It is a good wood to protect as well as use, it is both a
shield and a sword. It can be used in protetive amulets, used in healing,
but is also wielded as wands and other various tools.
ASH LORE
· 3rd Moon of the Celtic Year - (Feb 18 - March 17)
· Latin name: White Ash - fraxinus americana;
European Ash - fraxinus excelsior; Flowering Ash - fraxinus
ornus.
· Celtic name: Nion (pronounced: knee un)
· Folk or Common names: Ash, Common Ash,
Unicorn Tree, Guardian Tree
· Parts Used: Leaves, wood, bark, twigs, sap, flowers
· Herbal usage: Ash leaves and the tender tops can be used in the
spring to make a fasting tea that is a diuretic and can be used as a
help for weight loss. Ash bark is known as a liver and spleen cleanser
and can make the immune system stronger. The flowering Ash has sap
that contains a sugary exudate called 'manna', which can be used as a
laxative.
· Magical History & Associations: The bird associated with this
month is the snipe, the color is half clear & half deep blue, and the
gemstone is sea-green beryl. The Ash, a masculine herb, is associated
with the element of water, the sun and Jupiter; and is sacred to Thor,
Woden, Mars, Uranus and Gwydion. Ash is also sacred to Odin since
the Ash is often known as the Yggdrassil (or the 'Ash Yggdrasil')
amongst the Scandinavian nations. In Norse mythology, the Yggdrassil
supports the Universe, has three main branches and is believed to

62
have sprung from the beginning of time out of primordial slime and
ashes. The Ash is also the tree of the sea God Poseidon, because of
its watery power. Frennett (frenetic chaos), a substance used by
berserkers, may have been made from Ash bark. The Ash was
supposed to be serpent repellent - Pliny held that there is such an
antipathy between an adder and an Ash-tree, "that if an adder be
encompassed round with Ash-tree leaves, she will sooner run through
the fire than through the leaves". The ceremonial Yule log is often
made of Ash - this log is kindled each Yule with a piece from last years
fire and allowed to smolder for 12 days before it is ceremonially put
out. The Ash tree is famous, although anonymous, since it's the tree
from which the Hanged Man is suspended in tarot decks
· Magickal usage: The Ash was one of the sacred Druidic three:
'Oak, Ash & Thorn', and the month of Ash is a good time to do magick
designed to learn your inner self. The Ash has applications in magick
done for sea power, ocean rituals, karmic laws, magical potency,
healing, protection from drowning, love, rain making, women's
mysteries, prophetic dreams, general protection, Prosperity, and
health. Ash is often used for making both mundane and magical tools -
it's said that tools with handles of Ash are more productive than tools
with handles of other wood. Witches brooms often have the staff made
from Ash, and Ash wood was used for spears and shields since it was
known as a protective wood. Placing Ash berries in a cradle prevents
the child from being traded for a changeling by an evil faery - and Ash
talismans can be worn as protective amulets. Ash is known to keep
away serpents and to protect against their bite. If there are no snakes
to be found, Ash can be used instead to keep away nasty people who
are bitchy, quick to criticize, impatient, or psychic vampires. Special
guardian spirits reside in the Ash; This makes it excellent for absorbing
sickness. The spirally carved Druidic wand was made of Ash for this
healing purpose. In years gone by, weak-limbed children were passed
through split ash trees which were then bound up. If the tree grew
straight, the child would as well. Ash can be used in medicine pouches
or can be used in magick for wart remover: the wart is stuck with a pin

63
that has first been thrust into an Ash, while these words are said:
"Ashen tree, Ashen tree, pray these warts off of me."
The pins are then stuck back in the tree and left. The druids attributed
special powers over water to the ash tree. They used its wood to
make it rain or to ward off water's destructive power. The Ash is the
tree of sea power, or of the power resident in water. Ash leaves
placed under the pillow will induce prophetic dreams, and carrying an
Ash leaf will attract the love of the opposite sex. The Ash is often
called The Unicorn Tree, because unicorns are supposed to be fond of
the tree. To catch a glimpse of a unicorn, carry Ash wood or leaves.
Whenever you need to harvest a piece or part of an Ash tree,
remember to ask the tree if it will allow you to take a branch or other
part and be sure to leave the tree an offering of thanks when you are
done. A nice offering would be a bit of mane from a unicorn (eg).

ALDER LORE
· 4th Moon of the Celtic Year - (March 18 - April 14)

64
· Latin name: Smooth Alder - alnus serrulata.
· Celtic name: Fearn (pronounced: fair un).
· Folk or Common names: Alder, Gummy/Gluey (European),
Rugose/wrinkly (Tag), Tree of the Fairies.
· Parts Used: Parts Used: Branches, wood, bark, leaves.
· Herbal usage: Alder is in the hazelnut family and was used by
Native Americans as a medicinal plant. Tea can be made from bark
and is useful in treating diarrhea, coughs, toothaches and the
discomfort of childbirth. A potion made from the bark can also be used
externally as an eye wash or for a wash for poison ivy, swellings and
sprains.
· Magical History & Associations: The birds associated with this
month are the raven, the crow and the gull; the colors are crimson,
green-brown and royal purple; the day is Saturday; and the gemstone
is fire-garnet. The Alder, a Masculine herb, is associated with the
element of fire, and the planet of Venus. The Alder is sacred to Bran
the Blessed and Cronos (Saturn). Alder is also sacred to Faery kings
and elf kings - from the word Alder comes elder (not the tree) as in
'elder' kings. The Fey of the Alder have been described as water spirits
or as "Dark Faeries". They are very protective of the tree and when
they leave their trees, this Faerie will take the form of a Raven. In tree
Folk-lore, the Alder is known as the tree of fire - In the battle of the
trees, the Alder fought in the very front line. It is described as the very
"battle witch" of all woods, the tree that is hottest in the fight.
· Magickal usage: The month of Alder is a good time to do magick
designed to celebrate the connection and tie between all women, and
the mother-daughter bond. The Alder has applications in magick done
for spiritual decisions, duty, prophecy, oracular strength, intelligence,
mental prowess, resurrection, air magic, water magic, strength,
spirituality, teaching, weather magick, and protection from outside
forces. Alder leaves or twigs can be carried in a pouch to act as a
protection charm and as a powerful force in psychic battles. Ash
talismans or charms can also be carried to aid in the preservation of
ideas. The Alder is known as the "fairy's tree" in Celtic lore, so is good

65
for fairy magic. The faeries are said to like to dance under the trees
when they are flowering. Carrying Alder twigs or flowers acts as a
charm for communicating with the fey. Alder is often used in
resurrection magic and also used in building/construction magic. Alder
wood is often called the "wood of the witches". Whistles may be made
of out of young shoots to entice Air elemental spirits. This gives a
Witch the ability to summon, control and banish elementals or the four
winds. It is also the ideal wood for making the magical pipes and flutes
for use in magickal ceremonies. Alder produces a red dye from the
bark, a green dye from the flowers and a brown dye from its twigs.
Some Witches use these dyes in coloring ritual garb with the red dye
signifying fire, the green dye: water, and the brown dye: earth. While
the Witch is dying her robes, she should say:
"These leaves from trees, these herbs and flowers,
Make holy with your living powers
Raise the power! Bestow the magick!
Set earth's seal upon my magick!"
When harvesting bark or leaves from the Alder, remember to ask the
tree if it will allow you to take the parts and be sure to leave the tree
an offering of thanks when you are done. To prepare Alder wood for
use, beat the bark away with a willow stick while projecting your
wishes into it.

Sandalwood oil.
by Pan

Sandalwood has a sacred history in it's native India,Tibet and China, where

it has been used for centuries to protect religious carvings in temples and
monasteries. The essential oil, distilled from the tree's fragrant heartwood
and roots,has a lingering,sweet,balsamic aroma that repels insects.But
the great value of sandalwood oil lies in it's highly relaxing and erotic
effects. It is also thought to help heal respiratory and urinary-tract

66
problems.Unfortunately, because it is complicated to make, true
sandalwood oil is becoming rare. The sandalwood tree must be 40 years
old before the oil can be extracted, and up to 55 pounds of wood chips are
required for 1 quart of oil, which once distilled, must mature for six
months. Thus, adulterated forms of sandalwood oil are being produced. The
best quality and also the most expensive oil comes from India;in one
province, these endangered trees are protected by the government.Oils
from Australia and West India, unfortunately, tend to be far less effective.
Consolation for the soul.
The gentle, warm odor of sandalwood oil envelops the soul
prtectively,providing inner peace and security.Spiritually grounding,the oil
consoles those who are depressed and fearful. The scent is thought to
awaken the heart to a sense of joy.In a diffuser or simmer pot,try
combining sandalwood oil with the equally calming and harmonizing rose
oil:
5 drops sandalwood
3 drops rose absolute

Sandalwood oil contains a high percentage of terpene-containing

alcohols,primarily alpha-santalol and beta-santalol.These
substances,characterized by their antispasmodic,germicidal and
expectorant effects, make the oil valuable for treating respiratory and
minor urinary-tract infections.Sandalwood oil also counteracts
restlessness, anxiety and depression, and is thought to heighten eroticism.
For skin irritation and care.
An antiseptic, astringent and emollient, sandalwood oil helps heal
cuts,eczema and rashes.For a general skin care massage oil,mix 2
teaspoons of jojoba oil with 5 drops of sandalwood oil.
To release sexual energy.

67
Sandalwood oil is believed to unblock sexual energies. In a diffuser or
simmer pot, combine 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil with 2 drops each each of
sandalwood,jasmine absolute and rosemary oil.
To comfort the bereaved.
A massage with 5 drops of sandalwood oil and 3 drops of rose-otto oil in
2 teaspoons of jojoba oil helps console the grief-stricken.
In an uplifting bath.
In a bath, the sweet, woody aroma of sandalwood oil is both relaxing and
uplifting.Add 3 drops of the oil to your bathwater. After bathing, relax in the
warm water for at least 30 minutes.
To keep tissues elastic.
Excessive stretching of the skin as a result of weight gain or pregnancy
can cause some tissues to tear.A massage with sandalwood oil mixed into
sweet-almond oil can help keep the tissues elastic and prevent the
associated stretch marks. However, make sure to always check with a
health care practitioner before using during pregnancy.
A little lore.
Sandalwood oil plays a sacred role during many Hindu marriage
rites, where it is burned in the marriage tent so that it's fumes may
surround and bless the bride and groom.

External application.
Inhaling steam with sandalwood oil is believed to have an antispasmodic
effect on inflamed, infected respiratory passages for those suffering from
bronchitis.Add 3 drops of sandalwood oil to 1 gal.of hot water,and inhale
the vapor deeply through your nose and mouth.Place a towel over your
head so the vapors do not escape and you get the steam's full effect.
Sitz baths with sandalwood oil may help heal minor bladder
inflammations. The oil in the bathwater warms and relaxes the tissues and
kills germs.Mix 8 drops of sandalwood oil with 4 tbsp.of sweet-creamand

68
add to a bathtub half-filled with water.Stay in the sitz bath for 15
min.Afterward,rest,coverd warmly,for at least 30 min.
Sandalwood is an excellent hair dressing. It's deeply soothing aroma
lingers in the hair and gently diffuses it's scent all day.Mix 2 drops od
sandalwood oil with 2 tsp.of sweet-almond or jojoba oil;you can also add
both jasmine and rosemary oils.
Face creams, oils and masks that are made with sandalwood essential oil
can provide aromatic, emollient skin care for both dry and normal skin
types.
Caution:
Most essential oils are highly concentrated substances made up of
alcohols,esters,ketones,hydrocarbons,phenols and acids.Research has
shown that sandalwood oil can be toxic if taken internally and in high
doses. The essential oil can cause inflammation of the skin and damage to
the kidney tissue.

QUESTION AUTHORITY ( The Life You Save May Be Your Own )

By: Bonny Saint Bud

when you can understand there are many walks of life.

leaders followers writers artists etc.
I hate when a follower wants to be a leader then doesnt know where to
lead because they could never understand the paths or signs and the
building goes wrong or the road becomes a dead end because there Are
simply no sign posts.
and when those that know the correct path call out, the Charletan shows a
flash of knowledge or an illusion distracts the masses and they follow
usually picked up from some book.
Save the few we see what is truthful simply because we test the path By
walking it.
so what if we get ridiculed,, those that scorn and ridicule are usually far
from recovery. and there's nothing can be done to help them. when a
lifeline is thrown they tend to say "i dont need that you are wrong this is
the way"

75
Just before they forever fall.
I have seen this on many occasions and with many people being torn away
from the respect of pure knowledge in search of a dream, Except its
someone else's dream.
Few folk know Science at the level of doctorate.
Few know of Gardens and flowers as a gardener does.
Few know where the deer sleeps in the forest.
Few know where the Wren lives in a frozen hedgerow.
Few know the path they walk or where it will lead.
it doesnt matter how much Knowledge a person says they have its when
that knowledge is questioned they find a piece of themselves in truth.
When you look at yourself what do you find?

The Infernal Question
by El Chupacabra, SFW

Are you pagan, or just on a mission for your own secret empire? Where is
learning in the sycophancy of rhetorical proof of faith? Are you here to be
yourself, or just some elite fashion statement of the popular consensus?
Are you here to discuss yours or anybody else's experiences or just revel
in the shear enigma of it? Are you really exploring the unknown or just
trying to escape some ugly reality. Can you step outside of the dream and
honestly ask yourself, just what is it that you are really looking for? It
seems some have forgotten what this site is really about.

'Pestilence' available with a massive 72% discount

by Brian L Porter

My thriller novel Pestilence (Double Dragon Publishing),

is currently being offered in paperback by Amazon.com
for just $4.24, a saving of 72% on the normal retail
price. If you'd like to try one of my books and haven't
done so previously, (or even if you have), this a great
opportunity to grab a bargain. I'm not sure how long
Amazon will keep the book at this price, but usually,
these offers are limited to between 2 and 4 weeks.
Pestilence has picked up some great reviews since its release, and stock
are limited, but, even if they sell out, the price will remain the same as
long as the offer continues, so it is possible to order at the reduced price,
and be guaranteed the bargain price when stocks are replenished.

80
About the book
From award winning author Brian L Porter comes the thriller sensation of
the year. 'Pestilence' leads where others will follow in creating a scare-fest
that will terrify, entertain and astound the reader.

Pestilence....breathe if you dare!

The year is 1958, the place, an idyllic village in the heart of the English
countryside. Olney St. Mary has stood in its peaceful rural location for
over 900 years. Suddenly however, the peace of the community is
shattered when two teenage boys are stricken with a mystery illness. The
newly arrived village doctor suspects 'flu to be the cause of their malady.
Her initial diagnosis is terribly and tragically wrong!

Before long, Doctor Hilary Newton and the residents of Olney are plunged
into a nightmare of Biblical proportions as the death toll rises and no cure
can be found for the disease that ravages the local population, despite the
doctors employing the latest antibiotics available to them. Somehow, this
plague is different! Help arrives in the form of a medical team from the
outside, but the bodies continue to pile up. Someone, somewhere,
perhaps within the community itself, knows the reason behind the
pestilence that has struck at the heart of the village, but will the medics
learn the truth before it's too late, or will they too join the growing list of
names that appear on the roll of death roll in Olney St. Mary?

When a mysterious explosion wreaks havoc in the children's playground,

followed by a second lethal blast in Olney's makeshift field hospital the
sinister and unbelievable truth behind the pestilence begins to slowly
reveal itself.

Award-winning author Brian L Porter takes terror to a new dimension as an

age old horror returns to nineteen fifties rural England. This time however,
the pestilence itself appears to have evolved!
Review

81
`Pestilence- is a multi layered plot at which the British truly excel. The
characters, from the rustic villager, quaint old ladies, harried doctors,
conniving officials, suspicious military types people the pages of this fast
moving thriller. Porter-s economical use of language, the simplicity of
words readily evoke both tumultuous and more benign moods. There is
one hilarious scene as two entwined lovers fall for each other. The valve
radio just happens to play songs which are so appropriate to the scene
which through perspicacious attention Mr Porter portrays with aplomb.
The research is excellent, the imagery, the scenes are easily conjured for
our minds to create a satisfying mystery. The reprehensible plot hatched
by heinous minds is just a part of the mosaic where lives are
promiscuously gambled with. Worse lives become expendable as sinister
and deviousness individuals would try and use the deaths of too many of
the innocent for their own shady ends a decade after the Messerschmitt-s
crash to realize their dark intent. Sinister forces are indeed festering
malignantly in the background.

Music Tastes Link To Personality

Music tastes link to personality

Jazz fans are "creative and have good self-esteem" according to the
research

Musical tastes and personality type are closely related, according

to a study of more than 36,000 people from around the world.
The research, which was carried out by Professor Adrian North of
Heriot-Watt University, is said to be the largest such study ever
undertaken.
It suggested classical music fans were shy, while heavy metal aficionados
were gentle and at ease with themselves.
Professor North described the research as "significant" and "surprising".

What does your musical taste say about you?

He said: "We have always suspected a link between music taste and
personality. This is the first time that we've been able to look at it in real
detail. No-one has ever done this on this scale before."

83
Prof North said the research could have many uses in marketing, adding:
"If you know a person's music preference you can tell what kind of person
they are, who to sell to.
"There are obvious implications for the music industry who are are worried
about declining CD sales.
"One of the most surprising things is the similarities between fans of
classical music and heavy metal. They're both creative and at ease but not
outgoing.

Don't worry about what people think of you because of the music you

Steve Harding, Wiltshire, UK

"The general public has held a stereotype of heavy metal fans being
suicidally depressed and of being a danger to themselves and society in
general. But they are quite delicate things."

More than 36,000 people from all over the world were asked to rate 104
musical styles and also questioned about aspects of their personality.
The study is continuing and Prof North, who is head of the university's
department of applied psychology, is still looking for participants to take
part in a short online questionnaire.

! ( What I do when I first get on Pagan Underworld) I generally try to answer

88
my mail and reply to any comments first and then I check out the recent
posts for items of interest. I check out the art stuff or any interesting
images I see. and will leave comments on any discussion that has
relevance to me. And just talking about things that matter to me with
kindred spirits.
2 ( My beliefs and how I express them ) WHOA !!! That's a long, very twisty
road that I'm still on. Eight years ago I was a Sunday School Teacher
(Single Adults) at a Southern Baptist Church ( no joke ) but a fortnight in a
psych ward after a nervous breakdown was enough of a jolt to re-evaluate
my Theology and get honest about my Spiritual aspirations. At present my
Spiritual expression is essentially trying to learn to see with my own eyes.
I'm more sure of what ISN'T than what IS on most things. A few folks have
suggested I read some Jung which I just may. And one day I'll REALLY spill
my guts on Jesus versus Christianity.
3. (Myself on myself)

4 (Fascinating things I come across in the groups)

Naturally as a visual person I am drawn to images and I see some
wonderful ones on this site. I have always been fascinated about life
beyond what we see
( and not just what we call the afterlife) and those sort of explorations
abound here. Not to mention the fascinating humans that inhabit this
place.

5 (My opinion on anything) Don't let the little (and sometimes BIG)
betrayals in this life freeze you in your tracks in bitterness and
disillusionment. Consider the source and move on (easier said than done I
admit). We've all spent time and emotion on things and people that have
disappointed us but these are ultimately the result of OUR choices so
don't come cryin' to me !!! LOL Try to have fun and laugh as often as you
can. Put on some James Brown and shake it baby !!!

For A Girl You're Size!

by Hetty , Rev. D Div. (Founder)

http://www.plushcatclub.com/plus-size/main.html

I met a man who likes my personality and said I am very good-looking

(even once said beautiful) for a big girl with big breasts.

Really?

Know what?

I date A LOT! I date men here, not on the computer and I get asked out

93
often by friends and strangers. I get asked out by women too. I can
choose. I am NOT a desperate girl! If you stop to think, no one is.

All women and men with confidence and even without, are attractive. We
can all get dates. Everyone is beautiful and everyone is beautiful to
someone else.

I have a gorgeous face? Thanks. But guess what? I am gorgeous. I am

smart. I am sweet. I am sexy. Maybe not to you. Maybe I am to you and
you are afraid of what your friends may think or of what your image will
be. I don't care. Maybe you are going to miss out. Maybe you will
kicking yourself all the way to the moon and back because no one says
that to me and has me date them.

I am a sex freak. I am not promiscuous, but wild and open. Once I feel
comfortable, there are no boundaries sexually. I have men that have been
with me and guess what? They always want more. Never once did a man
suggest that I turn the lights off. Not once did I feel ashamed. Big girls
DO get naked. They DO have pictures taken. They are sexy.

Not everyone likes every size or every look. If they aren't attracted, they
don't have to go out with the people. See? But they do not have to
express that opinion to that person unless they are specifically asked.

There are pictures and films and calendars with "big" girls that sell quite
well. Not every dating site is only for tiny girls. There are porn stars and
models and actresses from size 0 to size 30 and maybe more. Not all
men like the same girls.

There are girls that like big guys. There are girls that like little guys.

I like nerds. I like big, muscular guys with a belly or not, with big, strong
arms and muscular backs. Yum. I like skinny guys with funny hair. I like
hairy guys with bald heads. I like older guys with a mohawk. As long as a

94
guy is smart and confident, has good manners at the table and in public, a
sense of humor, kindness, and class (money does not equal class, mind
you. It is the individual. One has it or they don't), they are awesome. I
want a guy to work out with me, skateboard with me, walk with me, go to
museums and swim, have amazing sex with me, and generally, keep up
with me.

Never once would I tell people bad things about a guy's looks if I liked him
inside. Never once would I make him feel second best. Never once would
I tell a guy or girl that they are good-looking for a big person or a purple
person or a French person, etc!

Someone is beautiful in your eyes or they are not!

But, just because you are too closed-minded to see it, doesn't mean that
anyone is ugly. NO ONE deserves to hear that they are great for a "big
girl or guy".

Tell someone they are gorgeous or cute or sexy. Period. If you don't
believe they are, then shut up!

I mean, how about someone says, "You are really well-spoken for an idiot"?
Just checking.

Sleeping With Fallen Angels

Sleeping With Fallen Angels
Tongues of fire caressed my skin
My feet did trend on scorched earth
The air was engulfed in ash
A shadow was in the distance
Close with every breath
It called to the core of my being
I did stand my ground
The shadowy figure walked up to me
The distance raveled between us
Revealed
The angelic face
Eyes that could melt steel
His words like erotic whispers

98
As he called my name
He touched my arm
And stole my pain
His hand slid down my arm
To grasp my hand in his
On my knuckles
He did plant a kiss
For this kiss was like a thousand
Orgasmic..
He did looked up
Into my eyes
A whispered this
You are one with I
As I am with you
Forever forever in darkness
We shall consume
With those worlds that
That filled my soul
He grinned so slightly as he let my hand go
For it was the second time I met with
Such a bliss
For it could only be the devils kiss
He walked away from me
It seemed like years
As I fell back into my body
I woke up in tears
For nothing has ever been so beautiful
Nothing never since
The devil picked me up and out of my dreams
And handed me bliss

*
Ophiuchus the Serpent Bearer is one of the 88 constellations and
considered the 13th zodiac sign ,
It is opposite Orion in the sky in northwest of the center of the Milky Way.

The main question of the "Serpent Holder" is he at peace with the serpent
or is he fighting it?

The man was considered to be Enki, the Sumerian ruler from Nibiru who
was brought to the public eye with the research of Jewish Scholar

Zechariach Sitchin

He was also Imhotep, his worship centered in Memphis. High Priest of Ra.
He was a famed Physician and Engineer.

Ophiuchus is also known as Asclepis the son of Apollo. Asclepsis was a

healer raised by Chiron, the half Centaur. Zeus made him immortal and
put him in the sky.

105
Some say Ophiuchus is also Joseph, Son of Jacob. when he healed and
saved Egypt from famine with his prophetic dreams.

As a symbol of medicine the healing serpent can be easily remembered

as the "Brazen serpent staff held by Moses. and the caduceus of Hermes.

Lets praise the Serpent of Wisdom, The symbol of "Gnosis" as it aids us in

Kundalini and the healing of our dross, the opening of our Chakras.

Aries
3/21 – 4/19

First Starting on the 2nd

You have a goal in mind big time on Monday. Be careful about trampling
on others to get there -- it's bad for your karma! Around Tuesday and
Wednesday, you're more of an idea person rather than an action
go-getter. Get in cahoots with someone who thinks like you do for double
the brainpower (and double the fun, too). Then after all that conscious
thought, your subconscious has a message for you at the end of the
workweek. Write down those dreams and tune into those visions. This
weekend, toss the schedule aside and see what allures you from moment
to moment.

106
Week Starting On the 4th

Your life may be full of days spent speeding down the highway toward
sweet destiny, but Monday and Tuesday aren't among them. You're
moving in the direction of destiny, sure, but the pace would be more
accurately described as that of an infant on all fours. The crawl intensifies
to something more like a healthy jog on Wednesday and Thursday, but it's
difficult to keep your legs pumping, since you spend much of your time
holding a cell phone to your ear. Friday and Saturday are days of clarity
and catharsis and possibly family time. Sunday's romantic.

Week starting on the 11th

Even big, bad, bold you needs a little support now and then -- like at the
beginning of this week. Since you're usually so self-sufficient, you might
have to ask. By Wednesday and Thursday, though, the stars send bountiful
super energy right to you, and you're probably ready to make a daring
move (at work? In the love department? Maybe both?). Go for it! If you're
staying up late or partying on Friday and Saturday, be sure to make up for
it with some healthy stuff, too. And on Sunday, use a little charm to get
your desire.

107
Week starting on the 18th

Monday and Tuesday, just about anything that can go wrong will. It takes
all your energy just to feel comfortable among a group of people. And
your new shoes aren't fitting right. Wednesday and Thursday see you
taking action and not letting anyone get in your way. If those shoes still
hurt, by all means return them. If you're still uncomfortable socially, find a
new social group. Friday and Saturday are career-oriented: Everything you
do has an effect on your reputation. Sunday you're surrounded by
like-minded people and filled with optimistic thinking about the future.

Week starting on the 25

You're a remarkable positive force as the week begins, with the gumption
to get stuff going and all the necessary follow-through, too. Which areas of
your life need some advancing? Tackle them now, because around
Wednesday, your energy changes a bit -- you're dreamier, thinking in more
abstract terms. You may even be indecisive about a certain situation or
someone. Allow your feelings to evolve and don't get frustrated, because
on Friday or over the weekend, a sweet new possibility's there for you. All
you have to do is seek it out -- and you'll love the process of looking.

108
Taurus
4/20 – 5/20

First week 4th

The intensity is remarkable. You had a sense that something was

developing between you two, but on Monday and Tuesday, it's undeniable.
Whether this is someone you just met or someone you've known for a
while, a new leaf is turning, and you're talking about it. Wednesday and
Thursday affect you in funny ways. You're running around like crazy.
There's no particular hurry, but you're in a hurry -- it's completely out of
character for you. Friday and Saturday, try to explain it all to a friend,
maybe over dinner. Convey your excitement, then spend Sunday dwelling
on you-know-who.

Week starting on the 11th

Home may be where the heart is at the beginning of the week, but
communication's favored now, too. Get on the phone or online and share
your feelings, and you'll get very nice responses. You could encounter
somebody as stubborn as you on Wednesday or Thursday; think what you
can accomplish if you join forces instead of butting heads! On Friday and
Saturday, you're looking lucky, and the chance for romance is looking
good. Plan a great date or head out on the town with friends. On Sunday,
excitement awaits in an unexpected place. Find it!

109
Week starting on the 18th

Monday and Tuesday are beset by all-consuming passion. It isn't a fun sort
of passion -- not artistic or musical or anything like that -- it's emotional.
The outside world is almost distorted by the strength of your feelings. You
go into Wednesday and Thursday understandably wary of other people.
The key is to not let that wariness transform into what may appear as
righteousness. That's no way to charm someone. Friday and Saturday,
something that's dogged your understanding for a while suddenly makes
sense. Until Sunday, that is. Nothing makes sense on Sunday.

Week starting on the 25th

Something truly different may come your way as the week begins, whether
in the form of a person, an idea or maybe an opportunity. Don't let the
oddity throw you; take a look, and you may see something amazing.
Around Wednesday, the company of family and friends feels just right. You
might find that a collection of people comes up with a great idea -- or just
has a fun celebration! From Friday through the weekend, do the opposite
of clamming up. Try confiding a feeling, giving your two cents, making a
wish. Somebody's got something to add that might just rock your world.

110
Gemini
5/21 – 6/21

First Week 4th

Put on your high-caliber goggles and take a very close look at what's
going on. Monday and Tuesday, clarity is a prevailing theme, and the main
obstacle in achieving it is the presence of busybodies. Like so many
bumblebees, they create a commotion about things that can only be
described as irrelevant. False information abounds. Wednesday and
Thursday, break out of your zone a bit to interact with others, but know
that the most useful conversations you're going to have will be with
strangers. This weekend, you'd be wise to come up with ways of
entertaining yourself that don't involve money.

Week starting on the 11th

Being thrifty at the beginning of the week gives you a bit of a creative
challenge, and it also gives you a little extra for a future plan or splurge.
Make your own lunch and make your own fun. You're quick with ideas and
have the stamina to carry them out around Wednesday and Thursday.
Progress abounds! On Friday and Saturday, watch out for some sort of
interference -- a misunderstanding, a busybody, something getting lost in
the shuffle. Be clear and concise. Sunday's stars send you extra sexiness
now. Make the most of it!

111
Week starting on the 18th

Think of yourself as a space exploration vehicle on Monday and Tuesday,

wandering into unknown territory, snapping pictures -- and not making any
kind of judgment, just collecting facts. Let someone else figure out what it
all means. Wednesday and Thursday you're more engaged intellectually,
but you still aren't putting your hands on your hips and telling people what
to think. That attitude's just not interesting to you right now. Friday and
Saturday, the shifting breeze is sending you in one direction after another,
but on Sunday your feet are firmly planted and your attention is
unswayable.

Week starting on the 25th

Your stellar ability to set preconceptions aside really comes in handy as

the week begins. Your curiosity -- about a situation, another person,
yourself -- can be richly rewarded now. Work or another commitment may
be driving you nuts around Wednesday, but you'll want to think things
through and determine the real issue prior to speaking your mind. A
mentor, a partner or a friend can help alter your perspective. Seeking out
multiple points of view is favored from Friday through the weekend. The
more you know, the more your own vision grows.

112
Cancer
6/22 – 7/22

First Week 4th

Some ideas are bound to fail. So don't worry so much about yours being
fully formed -- what matters is getting them out there, proposing things,
seeing what sticks. The person who comes up with ideas from scratch is
the most important person in the cause of progress. Let others help you
hammer out the details. Don't worry about who gets the credit. In the
middle of the week, with all this creativity floating around, some people
are bound to feel hesitant or left out. Convince them to participate. Friday
and Saturday are about new beginnings. On Sunday, make an investment.

Week starting on 11th

You may want to nest or play it safe at the beginning of the week, but the
stars are sending some not-to-be-missed possibilities your way. Welcome
the new energy and make a new start. On Wednesday or Thursday, it
might be time for a splurge -- you deserve a reward, don't you? Plans go
nicely on Friday and Saturday, and you've got the ability to make others
feel understood and right at home, no matter where you are. Sunday
brings a problem and an active, honest approach gets things going in the
right direction.

Week starting on 18th

You have one foot in one camp and one foot in another. Where does your

113
allegiance lie? What do you need most at this moment? On Monday and
Tuesday, if at all possible, put off making any decisions. Wednesday
through Friday, you're just as torn. About everything. Though canceling
your evening plans and cozying up in front of a DVD on Friday night
sounds, perhaps, lazy, it is also wise. This is just not the week -- or the
weekend -- to dazzle people in social settings. (If you find yourself in such
a setting, expect to be wildly misinterpreted.) On Sunday, money is on
your mind.

Week starting on the 25th

Dang, a certain someone seems cold as the week begins! But before you
get miffed and tell them so, consider that maybe they're just not as
expressive as you. Looking into interpersonal matters like this is favored
around Wednesday, and you're also much more likely to be in the same
groove as others now. Listen for your best instincts to chime in. From
Friday through the weekend, what seems like an instinct could be more of
a knee-jerk, and perhaps oversensitive, reaction. Avoid assumptions -- they
could cause problems, while clarity could be a question or two away.

Leo
7/23 – 8/22

First Week 4th

If it were a black-or-white question, a matter of right or wrong, you

wouldn't be facing the dilemma you have on Monday and Tuesday. Putting

114
off a decision is not a bad move. Focus instead on finishing up some
projects you've already started. Then, on Wednesday and Thursday, air
your quandary among friends, at least to hear a range of responses. You
may find yourself agreeing with someone, and therefore coming closer to
a conclusion yourself. Friday and Saturday are warm and comfortable, as
if you're a happy plant in a fresh plot. On Sunday, you get everything you
need for growth.

Week starting on the 11th

You have a catlike sixth sense at the beginning of the week, with the
reflexive knowledge of how to approach people and situations. You'll
definitely land on your feet now. Wednesday and Thursday look even
better, with your personal heat turned up to sizzling. Energy, excitement,
fun and fabulousness are there for the taking. Keep your expenditures to a
minimum on Friday and Saturday; feed your mind instead of opening your
wallet. On Sunday, the universe serves you sweetness, with a cherry on
top. Revel in it.

Week starting on the 18th

Time to haul out the magnifying glass and take a closer look. What you're
looking at on Monday and Tuesday isn't entirely clear, but allow yourself to
hold some unknown variables in your head; it will be a while before this
puzzle coheres. Wednesday and Thursday, amplification in the romantic
realm intensifies everything else -- which is exactly what you're in the mood
for: more, better, richer, sweeter. Knowing exactly what you want grants
you a confidence on Friday and Saturday that some might be threatened
by. On Sunday, strike a minor chord. Show off your infamous reserve.

115
Week starting on the 25th

Save the power plays for an appropriate arena as the week begins -- like
(maybe) work. It's not so much about getting ahead now; concentrate
more on exploring the unknown and finding a fresh perspective. A certain
someone may be a little touchy-feely or wishy-washy for your taste around
Wednesday, but be gentle -- there's likely more to this situation than meets
the eye. Finesse it rather than forcing it. Then, from Friday through the
weekend, fun's absolutely in your stars. The more oddball things you try
and weird people you meet, the happier you'll be. Let the weird, good
times roll!

Virgo
8/23 – 9/22

First week 4th

Great writers do some of their most intense work by staring out the
window. Major business decisions have been struck over slices of pizza.
Monday and Tuesday, strive to get things done in a relaxing environment.
Toward the middle of the week, you have no time for staring out the
window or going out for pizza -- in fact, you have to strap yourself to your
desk to finish everything. Friday and Saturday are downright frantic, and
Sunday won't be very relaxing either. But if you can be flexible, that will
prevent you from breaking. Don't break!

116
Week starting on the 11th

Turn those organizational abilities toward planning a social event or a

great date at the beginning of the week -- it'll likely come together as the
best thing ever. You may be the underdog in a certain situation on
Wednesday or Thursday, but somebody's pulling for you. Figure out who,
and get some tips and support. Friday and Saturday are great days to be
you. With the stars on your side, you can get a ton done and also attract
some attention via your extra sparkle. On Sunday, don't commit. You'll
want to stick with 'maybe' on any big decisions -- at least for today.

Week starting on the 18th

There are so many ways of seeing something -- as the opinions of your

friends so amply demonstrate on Monday and Tuesday. Instead of coming
down hard on those you disagree with (which is something you have been
known to do), listen. Think of yourself as a pair of giant cartoon ears.
Wednesday and Thursday, you are pretty sure you know how things should
be done, but, again, adopt a passive role and let someone else shoulder
the burden. (Your shoulders have been taking the brunt of it lately.) Friday
and Saturday, all tension melts when you lock lips with someone. Sunday
is revelatory.

Week starting on the 25th

Renovations and innovations are favored in all aspects of your life as the
week begins, so make some changes, major or minor. (However, don't
forget to spend some downtime right in your comfort zone, too.) Around

117
Wednesday, you may want to put the brakes on and reevaluate existing
projects, relationships and so forth. The cosmic light's yellow now, if not
blinking red. Money counts from Friday through the weekend, and you may
be counting yours -- or counting on someone else to do their financial part.
Give these matters due consideration in a timely fashion.

Libra
9/23 – 10/22

First week 4th

You're climbing fire escapes on Monday and Tuesday, trying to get a

better perspective on how the world fits together. If only you could be in a
helicopter! Toward the middle of the week, you're in a crowd situation, and
you feel both empowered and overwhelmed by other people's combined
energy. Go with the flow. Try not to overanalyze. See what you learn.
Friday and Saturday are entirely bereft of dreams of helicopters or the
anxiety of crowds -- instead, you find yourself relaxing into your work. It's
gratifying to get things done. On Sunday, listen.

Week starting on the 11th

Just getting through your regular tasks may be tough at the beginning of

118
the week, but getting upset about it won't help. Keep at it, and look for
better energy coming your way on Wednesday and Thursday. Now you're
making progress, and looking so good doing it that others might just ask
you what your secret is. Will you tell? Social time's favored on Friday and
Saturday, as is some lazing about -- that is, recharging those batteries. A
couple of days of extra sexiness start on Sunday -- what are you going to
do to take advantage?

Week starting on the 18th

You sweep your arms across the table on Monday and draw all your
money and possessions toward your chest. Tuesday you spend counting
your chips. How can this be explained, this weird urge toward materialism?
It'd be good for you to give something away. Then, on Wednesday and
Thursday, be generous in other ways: be emotionally giving, insist on
hearing the long versions of stories. Friday and Saturday may have you
shuffling your feet and casting your eyes downward -- you're lost in
thought about something that happened a while ago -- but Sunday is
nothing short of sensational.

Week starting on the 25th

Balance getting back to work with a little fun as the week begins. You've
got great intellectual power and some extra oomph in the love department
now -- wow! There's plenty of time to buckle down and work on ongoing
projects and responsibilities around Wednesday, but note that this may not
be the time to kick off something new or make a major decision. From
Friday through the weekend, though, confronting an interpersonal angle --
good, bad or to be determined -- is best done right away and head-on.
You'll feel way better once you do.

119
Scorpio
10/23 – 11/21

First week 4th

A rare feeling dominates your heart and mind at the beginning of the
week. It's a thrilling feeling. It has something to do with a relationship,
possibly a romantic one, and it may inspire you to boldness. Friction,
force and sports also figure on Monday and Tuesday. It's a charged
beginning to a happy, productive week, although it would be a stretch to
define Wednesday and Thursday as particularly happy. There are a million
small tasks you break your back to get done on those days. Friday and
Saturday are, by comparison, effortless. You and your friends
communicate almost telepathically. On Sunday, you lie low.

Week starting on the 11th

Dreams, intuition and other less-than-logical stuff figure prominently at the

beginning of the week. Heed your inner voice, and let your subconscious
provide clues. Around Wednesday or Thursday, some real-world hassles
require your attention; handling them calmly reduces the stress factor.
Your karma gets a major boost if you step outside yourself and donate
your time, money or expertise (or all three) to a good cause on Friday or

120
Saturday. And on Sunday, be extra patient with everyone -- including
yourself.

Week starting on the 18th

Your radiance is a little hard for everyone else to take on Monday and
Tuesday. You walk into a room and everyone else looks slightly less
magical. It's as if you pull all cosmic energy toward you, though it's not
like you're doing it on purpose. Wednesday and Thursday, you become a
beneficiary of the very excitement you help generate; you become
wrapped up in an activity you wouldn't involve yourself in if you were alone.
Friday and Saturday are less wild, days of calculations and self-control;
likewise, the extent of excitement on Sunday consists of rearranging the
furniture in the living room.

Week starting on the 25th

If life's less than harmonious as the week begins, well, the drama makes
all the world a stage. Don't forget that you're the author of your own part,
though; make this production lead to growth. A love scene just might be in
the cosmic script around Wednesday, with an intimate heart-to-heart a
distinct possibility. If you're coupled up, make it happen with your costar; if
you're single, how about some auditions? More behind-the-scenes stuff is
important from Friday through the weekend. A supporting role can be very
satisfying now.

121
Sagittarius
11/22 – 12/21

First week 4th

Let Monday and Tuesday be days for collecting yourself, getting things
back in order and obliging others. The smallest thing can be incredibly
satisfying. That remains true at least until Wednesday and Thursday, when
the satisfaction you feel in details done well begins to wane. Put another
way, a philosophical conversation would satisfy you more at this time. So
go ahead and initiate a philosophical conversation. Friday and Saturday,
on the other hand, you're barely able to keep up your end of small talk.
One day you feel like talking; the next day you don't. Chalk it up to mood.
Sunday is radiant.

Week starting on the 11th

A deeper, more meaningful level can be reached at the beginning of the

week, whether in a relationship or in your own outlook. Your core values
are especially relevant now. You're a winner on Wednesday and Thursday,
if the stars have their say -- and remember, you can't win if you don't play.
Take a chance (maybe in the realm of romance!). Beware of imbalances of
power on Friday and Saturday; anyone who thinks they're the boss of you
could be problematic. You're extra articulate and very tuned on on Sunday
-- speak up!

122
Week starting on the 18th

You are like a cartoon giant walking through a cartoon forest on Monday
and Tuesday -- an imaginative Goliath who's sometimes in the mood to be
alone. You have a beautiful vision for the future, but it's all so
overwhelming and vague that you wouldn't be able to explain it to anyone.
Yet. Wednesday and Thursday, a new friendship seems to be taking off,
and you might try filling this other person in on what you've been thinking
about. Friday and Saturday you stick close to the path you know well, but
Sunday finds you daringly introducing yourself to a stranger.

Week starting on the 25th

You're all revved up as the week begins if the stars have their say, and if
you're open-minded, you just might find a surprising (and surprisingly
great) route to take. Feel free to go off the map! Your energy's
downshifted around Wednesday; to get anything done, you may need a
jump-start. Think exercise instead of more coffee -- it'll center your
thoughts, too. From Friday through the weekend, it's happy-go-lucky fun
and games -- life's more like bumper cars than rush-hour traffic now, and
you might bump right into some romance!

123
Capricorn
12/22 – 1/19

First week 4th

Monday and Tuesday, spread out a blanket under a tree and have a
delicious picnic. Fruit, bread, cheese -- really live it up. If you have other
things to do on Monday and Tuesday, well, try to squeeze in some time
for luxuriating somehow (especially with a loved one). Wednesday and
Thursday are more work-oriented, or at least task-oriented. Expect a
staggering quantity of emails in your inbox. Then, on Friday and Saturday,
aim your efforts toward your home life. Maybe buy some buckets of paint
and start that redecorating project in earnest. Sunday is a good day to be
at home, too.

Week starting on the 11th

Conflict, opposition or limiting factors may come into play at the beginning
of the week, and your response is everything. Use your powers of
patience and flex your muscle of understanding. Make a busy schedule
and stick to it on Wednesday and Thursday -- it could come in handy when
you're asked to do something you'd rather not do. Friday and Saturday
find a goal or two definitely within reach, and not just when it comes to
work, either. On Sunday, the vibe is good for kicking off a new project.

124
Week starting on the 18th

All the information is lined up and in order, clear as day -- all you have to
do at this point is make the call. Obviously, it'd be smart not to make it
alone. Ask others what they think. Then detach yourself emotionally from
the proceedings and decide. Once a course has been decided,
Wednesday commences a blur that extends into the foreseeable future, a
blur of speed and productivity and brightness. Discipline is important on
Thursday -- you may begin to have second thoughts, but ignore them -- and
modesty is important on Friday and Saturday. The weekend is a chorus of
praise.

Week starting on the 25th

How about starting a new tradition or trying on another style as the week
begins? Whether it's at work or at home, thinking differently should be
much appreciated (and even fun). Then, around Wednesday, you just might
find yourself engrossed in a creative enterprise or an interpersonal one (or
both!). There are all kinds of delights and satisfaction to be found; give big
ambition a rest. From Friday through the weekend, your challenge may be
to balance some opposites -- work and play, maybe, or responsibility and
daring. Later on in the day Sunday, romance is in the stars!

125
Aquarius
1/20 – 2/18

First week 4th

A discovery startles you at the start of the week. Suddenly, the past
comes into focus in a way that it hasn't before -- it's illuminating and
instructive. This is a fine prelude to what comes to you on Wednesday,
which is a sizzling love affair, or an intensification of an existing love.
Thursday, as well, is all hearts and chirping birds. It only makes sense that
Friday, coming down from such excitement, is a bit of a drag. You have
responsibilities to attend to and you're running out of time. Saturday is
made for working, but Sunday is, once again, all about you and
you-know-who.

Week starting on the 11th

Even if you're off-balance at the beginning of the week, stick with your
routine as much as possible. Going through the motions has a therapeutic
effect. By Wednesday and Thursday, you can identify a contradiction,
make a discovery and find a way to move forward that feels great. An
interruption or delay could be a good thing now. You're not so much
judging books by their covers as speed-reading on Friday and Saturday;
find out a lot in short order. On Sunday, the stars send extra brains and
curiosity your way.

126
Week starting on the 18th

What with your career on the rocks -- or, at least, not moving at quite the
pace you'd like -- on Monday and Tuesday, spend the start of the week
doing something socially useful; make phone calls, help out at a
community center. Wednesday and Thursday, you're feeling fortunate to
find yourself in a group of people who agree with you on almost every
issue, you come up with an excuse that would put you all in touch a lot
more often. Friday and Saturday offer little in the way of satisfaction or
reward, but Sunday is the opposite. Sunday is unbelievable.

Week starting on the 25th

If the stars have their say, you're all passion and courage as the week
begins, intent on making the world turn your way. Let those around you in
on your plan -- they'll love it (and they'll very likely love you!). Around
Wednesday, some more mundane duties require attention; it may be
financial matters or miscellaneous numbers. You may not want to change
your focus, but you'll have major issues later if you don't. And never fear,
because from Friday through the weekend, the stars send big, amazing
stuff to you, along with a heightened sense of your interconnectedness to
others. (That's hot!)

127
Pisces
2/19 – 3/20

First week 4th

Beauty and romance figure strongly at the beginning of your week and set
you off on the right foot. On Tuesday, eat a delicious dinner and turn in
early (hopefully in the arms of someone else!), because on Wednesday,
you need as much energy as possible. The middle of the week is a bit
overwhelming, that's all. It's nothing you can't handle. However, don't
expect clarity or direction. Then, on Friday, you have time to devote to
romance once again, and by Saturday, you're swimming in the nectar of
love and affection. What a happy end to the workweek! On Sunday, work
out.

Week starting on the 11th

You've got the power of love on your side at the beginning of the week --
platonic, romantic, altruistic and more. How will you use its mysterious
forces? Wednesday or Thursday ask that you hone your concentration and
be attentive to what's around you. The most mundane things hold
important keys now. You're rather analytical on Friday and Saturday, which
may take somebody by surprise. Show your soft side, too. Sunday is all
about sorting through old things to make way for new ones.

Week starting on the 18th

128
It's hard to tell the difference between what's going on in your head and
what's going on in the outside world on Monday and Tuesday. The thing is,
the outside world is just confusing. Wednesday and Thursday, a move
toward simplicity is in the stars. You, a clean kitchen, some music, some
leftovers, a magazine -- that's an entire evening right there. Friday and
Saturday, too, are modest in scope. Let the direction of your evenings be
guided by the people involved. No one wants a tight schedule. On Sunday,
you ask a sage friend for advice. It's good, strong advice, and it sends
you reeling.

Week starting on the 25th

Certain expectations put on you on Monday or Tuesday might mean you

already feel like you need a break (and the week's just started!). Set some
limits; don't push yourself to the point of stress. Around Wednesday, life
looks much easier (and love may, too). It's a gorgeous time to commence
or continue something creative, something that'll really change your world.
You might be entirely absorbed in something or someone from Friday
through the weekend -- but don't miss an element that's not immediately
apparent!

It'll be necessary to let your close relations act more or less in their own
way, otherwise you'll risk having big fights within your family circle.
You'll use your energy better and will succeed in a difficult project.
You'll have a tendency to impose your viewpoint to your colleagues, which
won't be very much appreciated.
Differences and mutual incompatibilities will be felt; they're very likely to
afflict the wonderful stability and harmony of your couple; show patience
and tolerance!~

Favorable circumstances will allow you to progress with giant steps in
your professional activity.
You'll be vulnerable to people who often appeal to your kindness.
You'll once again feel anxious and distressed, apparently without any
sound reason; ask your doctor if magnesium in pills could be useful to
you.~

Enthusiastic prospects: you'll savor enormous joys in more than one

You'll make stimulating encounters, but you'll to have to indulge in a
serious introspection session so as to find out what you want exactly.
You'll try to establish harmony, and you'll succeed in creating a warm
family atmosphere.
Being dynamic and undertaking, you'll overflow with vitality; you'll succeed

You'll benefit from dazzling health.
At work, don't try to get ahead of schedule, for you're likely to spoil your
chances of success.
Make new resolutions and stick to them.
Be careful when discussing with your friends; you'll tend to take on a
dogmatic or aggressive tone; show flexibility and diplomacy: this won't
cost you anything and could be very useful to you.~

Heavy arguments and silences will alternate in your family; your children
will be the first ones to suffer from this situation.
Concerning love, try to know exactly what you want, don't play with other
people's feelings.
Flourishing health, with a better sleep.
Your friends will give you very useful advice concerning your work.
Patience, prudence! Considerable professional progress within your reach
if you don't slacken your efforts under the first pretext available; watch out

little thanks to a more lenient astral climate.
Above all, don't get discouraged; continue fighting for yourself.
You'll be carried away by feelings of generosity and magnanimity, and you
won't hesitate to show them.
Watch out for the siren song of various sects! This astral benevolence

You would like to help people in need, but don't go too far in this direction.

Your fears concerning your material incomes will be renewed; however,
it's not by engaging yourself in high risky investments that you'll be able to
save yourself from danger; don't think about the too far away future.~

Everything won't be so easy during this month: despite some valuable

awareness, you'll go through moments of stress, disillusions, and
conflicts.
Watch out for everlasting competitions with your spouse! If your heart is
free to be taken, you'll make an encounter of paramount importance
during a meeting at your close relatives' house.
Your resistance against microbial and viral infections will be reduced;
therefore, redouble your precautions and consider, for example, taking an
trace-element treatment so as to reinforce the natural defenses of your
body.~

1921,1981,1933,
1993,1945,2005
1957,1909,1969

Your love life could undergo a month of uncertainty then of stabilization.

Renew contacts with your former friends and make new ones; it's owing to

135
your friends that you'll able to progress.
You should have the benefit of remarkable energy; learn how to
concentrate your efforts on a specified objective and pursue it until the
end.
Be cooperative but not too easy-going with your family circle; especially
don't let anyone meddle with your private life, and stand up energetically
against impenitent intruders.~

Dog
1910,1970,1922,
1982,1934,1994,

Endowed with an enormous temporary amount of talent, you'll easily

succeed in solving practical and material problems.
Total complicity with your children.
You'll feel aggressed by a friend who won't stop burdening you with his
unwanted advice.
Don't be afraid of giving your opinion on how to improve the functioning of
the company that employs you.

On the financial front, your rather dreamy and carefree side can make you
miss some excellent opportunities; consequently it'll be useful to get help
from a more realistic and qualified person.~

Your love affairs will be fine, but they'll tend to be more of an intellectual
nature than usual.
During this month there'll be a slowing down of your vital functions, which
implies certain sluggishness of your liver, with harmful effects on your
intestines.
Your ideas will be clear, and some friendly advice could very positively
help you.
You'll feel like flying after having signed an immensely profitable contract;
take care not to be too excited while driving your car.~

6 of Cups

We start out the month reflecting on the past, longing for

things long gone.

8 of Wands

138
A quick decision is made after reflections of past. You
are delivered some important news, which in turn may
lead to travel, or someone traveling to you by air.

The Sun

There is a gathering of celebration complete with friends

and good times. This could be a wedding or a social
gathering, or the coming together of distant friends.

Temperance

Towards mid month you will find yourself having more

patience as you will find a balance within yourself. You will
also find yourself more able to channel your energy
towards new results, that you may not have seen before.

139
Queen of Pentacles inverted

As you find yourself in a time of financial strain, you

also find yourself needing to depend on others more as
uncomfortable as this may make you feel put aside
your pride and mistrust and accept the helping hand as
it will lead you into a better situation.

The 4 of Cups

As the month nears an end the financial strain gives

way towards relief from monetary woes, only to be
replaced by a feeling of boredom and disappointment
in your life in spite of how well you actually have it.

9 of Wands inverted

140
You will find your self at a crossroads where things
seem to be very bleak and you will feel at a complete
loss on the verge of giving up, at this point you will need
to reach deep into your self and find peace within, rather
than given up, turn this situation into a positive and not a
negative, and embrace those that are there for you.

Definitely Not Selling Snake Oil
by Oisin

I dislike fundamentalist ‘bible’ thumpers from any persuasion, and I

particularly dislike those who push their persuasions, religious, atheist,
socialist, monetarist, or whatever, on the general public for their own
selfish beliefs or monetary gains.
Neither I, nor my friends will let http://globalcomspiracytheories.com
become a so-called ‘snake oil salesmen’ or ‘fundamentalist preacher’ site,
with ‘miracle cures’, like those who used to roam the likes of ‘Texas’ in a
covered wagon conning people.

We are not preaching anything here, but we are posting what is ‘food for
thought’. Make of it what you believe.
I personally believe in much content, have questions about other content,
and will be dismissive of some content until someone proves it potentially
true.
You will find many Conspiracy Theory sites that sell the same old con of
trying to make you believe anything, and sell from their ‘Wagon’, DVD’s ,
Books etc, usually found to be filled full of crap and with information that
you could have found elsewhere for free, once you purchase it,
Yeah. Think! Great money for the Illuminati and NWO? They will infiltrate
conspiracy sites wherever they can. (We are watching out, here).
Beware of their propaganda for their own monetary or selfish gain.
I wish that we could offer hope on our site, but we can offer friendship and
hopefully some comfort with each other, as we all want to know what is
really going on?
All I and my friends can do is post what is believed and being said out there
by others and offer it up for debate.

143
Many thanks to those of you who have contributed, and especially to my
valued partner and our friend Hidden Soldier for his many sacrifices and
time spent on his contributions.
It’s up to you the reader to see any truth, and up to us all to share it!

Safety when dealing with Edge Play
By: Andrew

I would like to cover some very important safety tips & advice for those
that wish to delve into the edge play scene. First and foremost there has
to be a line of trust that has been built up over time w/u & your partner
and you most know your partner fully & completely. Not only that but you
most fully know your self and how far you can go and what your limits are,
for me there isn't many limits, and each scene can go on for hours or
days, which brings us to the next important one and that is aftercare
which to me can be just as fun and can be used as a cool down & made
into a very enjoyable time for both of you, treating then with love and
telling them how proud you are to even adding some romance to the
aftercare, from a full body massage to giving them a nice hot bath, so that
they feel loved and have the feeling of being completely fulfilled & knowing
that they full filled your every desire. To me this is a must & will also help

156
build your relationship & make it stronger and even open more doors.

If you are going to use equipment know the equipment well, and before
you use it, picture your self in it, look for anything that may not be safe,
and fix it or alter it so it is as safe as possible, don't leave anything to
chance. The main reason there is so few Dom/Tops especially males is
the fact that most are not willing to take the risks and the dangers that
come with this type of scene, the pressure alone will stray many away
from even the most simple of edge play scenes, for you are in most case
in complete control of your partners very life. And make sure every piece
of equipment is clean & sanitary before it is used & also afterwards.
If you are going to use knives be sure you know how to use them & if
there is cutting be sure to cleanse the wounds when you are done, for me
i will not cut deep for I do not wish to leave any scars and with a good
hand & a sharp knife this can be easily done.

If you are gong to be play with breath play you most know how long your
partner can hold their breath, & also know how long they can hold it while
having an orgasm for it will be less than they could normally as well as you
start to get them worked up, you most know all these things and know
how far they can go. breath play is very dangerous but also very fun, and
there is so many way to do it, from water play to plastic bags, or
gasmasks or strangulation, as you can see each can lead into a new area
of play with many fun out comes, but you most know there limits & when
to let them breath or give them air from your own lungs which is very
erotic and in away very controlling. i would recommend if you don't
already know it is that both you & your partner take a CPR class or first
aid class it will add to the scenes that you do & give you both a better
assurance of each other & that all that you do is done in a safe manor.

When using floggers, whips, canes, always remember where the vital

157
spots are and how far you can go before you start to cause eternal injures
it is very easy to break a rib when using canes, battans, or chain whips,
and one should also afterwards during aftercare thoroughly ice down all
swollen areas, & afterwards give them a massage using hot oils,
especially focusing on those areas. And one needs to keep in mind that
when we get to this type of play which is not like normal flogging ect...
conditioning is a most & so is a disapline hand.
The last thing I would like to cover is one that I have recently felt, and it is
by far the worse feeling that one can feel. As a Dom and one that is very
into the extremes of edge play there comes a time when you find that you
your self have gotten carried away and have went to far. For it is a high
and one that has so much pleasure and when you have the perfect partner
that trust you fully and in truth probably once in a life time will ever find
one like this it is not something you want to lose. We all know about
subspace but so little is talked about what happens when a Dom finds
them self in this place, we all know how to deal with it till it happens to the
Dom then you are left questioning yourself and if you truly can be apart of
this type of scene, and most will not even admit that they are there,
because it doesn't happen during the scene but afterwards when things
are over and you are alone left to all of the questions how did this go
wrong, how did I not see the signs, or what if it happened during an
extreme scene ah now you see the reason why most Dom's never venture
into this area, because once it happens you are truly at a lose and there is
in most case no one there to give aftercare to you, for it is needed in both
partners. The only way I can see to avoid this is to make sure you know
your self and when you feel that it is becoming consuming and is entering
into your everyday lives, take a break and spend time doing other things,
and be there for each other in other ways. Because when you don't and
lose your partner it is a feeling that you will wish you never felt.
