Speaker Bio: Ronald J. Baker started his accounting career in 1984 with KPMG Peat Marwick’s Private
Business Advisory Services in San Francisco. Today, he is the founder of VeraSage Institute, a think tank
dedicated to teaching Value Pricing to professionals around the world. He is a frequent speaker at events
and conferences, and a consultant to professional knowledge firms on implementing Total Quality Service
and Value Pricing.
Session Abstract: It is simple and straight forward. The most profitable firms are better pricers. Poor
pricing is the leading cause of a firm’s financial problems. This presentation provides alternatives to pricing
based upon fixed hourly rates or standard fixed-priced or cost-plus formulas. Pricing your services based
on client-perceived value, leads to better pricing, happier clients, and increased profits. By learning to
use multiple pricing strategies, customized for each client that communicate the value your firm provides,
participants will generate increased financial ROI on each engagement. This ROI is both financial and non-
financial with the best benefit found in happier and more loyal clients, along with a better quality of life for
your firm’s stakeholders.
Speaker Bio: Dennis Frahmann is responsible for the overall Sage North America marketing portfolio
including brand and advertising, event marketing, web marketing, and public relations. Mr. Frahmann
has more than 25 years’ experience in marketing. Before joining Sage in 2003, he headed the
worldwide program at Xerox Corporation for trade shows, events, and sponsorships, including the
Xerox global sponsorship of the Olympics.

firm, Hansen was vice president and business development consultant for Great Plains Software

Session Abstract: Modern science has confirmed the ancient understanding of the universe;
everything is energy. Leadership is, therefore, about acquiring, conserving and utilizing that energy.
In other words, Leadership is about energy management. This seminar will introduce the participant
to the Energy Management Model. It will offer new awareness and insights into the challenges
of effective leadership. This approach moves beyond a focus on skills or techniques. Instead, it

Speaker Bio: Rob Johnson is a 14 year veteran of Sage. Currently, he serves as head of channel
programs and readiness. In this position, Johnson developed the Sage Sales Academy, an award-
winning training program that has helped thousands of salespeople change the trajectory of their
careers. Previously, Mr. Johnson has worked in a variety of sales, sales management, and executive
management roles, including eight years as Vice President of Sales for Accounting Products with
Timberline Software. Recently, Mr. Johnson authored and released the book Kick Your Own Ass; The
Will, Skill & Drill of Selling More Than You Ever Thought Possible.

many conferences worldwide on project management, pricing, and knowledge workers.
Session Abstract: Singer Billy Joel recently posted a Q&A session he did in 1996 in which he
spontaneous invented a back story to Beethoven’s Third Symphony. It reminded me, how very
memorable improvisation could be. Then I got to thinking about this Super Sunday session for
Sage Summit. I could write an abstract which would fulfill the requirement but be so obtuse as
to mean absolutely nothing. However, I won’t insult you that way. Instead, I’ll tell you the truth—I
have absolutely no idea as to what I might talk about during this session in July. It would be
presumptuous to even try. I do promise it will be thought provoking and contain material that you
have not seen me present before. If you are interesting in suggesting topics for the conversation,
