Please join us for the all-new Sage partner conference.
Sage Summit is replacing Insights as the Sage partner conference. But this is
not just a new conference format. It’s a whole new era in collaborative education for
Sage partners. With more substantive learning, more meaningful networking, and more
concrete takeaways for your business, it’s a can’t-miss event.
MORE. MORE. MORE.
More substantive learning—Sage Summit offers a fresh approach to learning for partners.
For example, the Super Sunday lineup includes in-depth industry discussions led by
industry thought leaders. Plus you’ll find product intensive deep-dives and certification
courses. Register for the full event and you’re welcome to sit in on customer sessions to
enhance your learning experience.
More meaningful networking—Connect with the most diverse Sage community ever
assembled, including: partners, customers, Sage leaders, Sage product experts,
development partners, and industry thought leaders.
More concrete takeaways—A completely new approach to learning and the opportunity
to connect with customers and peers like never before will help you leave the conference
with more actionable insights than other conferences you’ve attended.
Plus we’ve made the registration rate LESS, LESS, LESS!
Sage Summit provides even more bang for your conference buck than previous Sage
events. Attend the full event (including Partner Days and shared Partner/Customer Days)
for as little as $995, equal to our lowest rate for Insights 2010! Or opt to stay for the
Partner-only portion for as little as $595. In addition to our lowest-rates ever, we’re also
introducing the Easy Pay Installment Program so you can spread your Sage Summit fee’s
over 4 months – that can mean payments as low as $150!
We look forward to collaborating with you at this new event and encourage you to
consider co-hosting your customers during the second half of the conference.

Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy —

 Inspirational Guest Speakers
Wednesday, July 13 | 4:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy’s life, as chronicled in Lewis’ New York Times number
one best-seller The Blind Side, went on to become a record-breaking Hollywood
blockbuster and became the number-one opening weekend for a sports film in history.
The Blind Side tells the story of Michael Oher, a homeless teenager turned first round
draft pick NFL football player, with the support and love of an unlikely adoptive family:
Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy.
Almost two years after The Blind Side burst onto the scene, breaking box office records
and inspiring individuals nationwide, Sean and Leigh Anne continue to make an impact.
In July 2010, the couple released their New York Times best-seller, In a Heartbeat:
Sharing the Power of Cheerful Giving, and established their charity, Making it Happen.
Through both projects, Sean and Leigh Anne continue their mission to inspire hope,
ignite generosity, and make it happen for the deserving, but underserved youth.
At the podium, Sean and Leigh Anne share their personal Blind Side observations from
the perspective of dedicated parents.

Note: Full Event pass required to attend the Tuohy keynote.

Super Sunday Training Sessions
Sunday, July 10, 2011 | 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m
Super Sunday was not in February this year. For Sage partners, it’s in July. Super Sunday at Sage Summit features a
knowledge-packed lineup of sessions that addresses key aspects of a partner’s business, including: marketing, sales,
consulting, pricing, customer experience, and leadership. Each of the subjects will be covered in depth by top experts
and thought leaders in their respective fields. You’ll want to send multiple people from your firm to take advantage of all
that is being covered.

Ron Baker | Author, Principal of VeraSage

Session code: P-CHN18 | Pricing On Purpose: How Better Pricing Leads to Better Profits

Speaker Bio: Ronald J. Baker started his accounting career in 1984 with KPMG Peat Marwick’s Private
Business Advisory Services in San Francisco. Today, he is the founder of VeraSage Institute, a think tank
dedicated to teaching Value Pricing to professionals around the world. He is a frequent speaker at events
and conferences, and a consultant to professional knowledge firms on implementing Total Quality Service
and Value Pricing.
Session Abstract: It is simple and straight forward. The most profitable firms are better pricers. Poor
pricing is the leading cause of a firm’s financial problems. This presentation provides alternatives to pricing
based upon fixed hourly rates or standard fixed-priced or cost-plus formulas. Pricing your services based
on client-perceived value, leads to better pricing, happier clients, and increased profits. By learning to
use multiple pricing strategies, customized for each client that communicate the value your firm provides,
participants will generate increased financial ROI on each engagement. This ROI is both financial and non-
financial with the best benefit found in happier and more loyal clients, along with a better quality of life for
your firm’s stakeholders.

and certified consultants are key to that culture. Over the past year, over 500 of your fellow partners
have participated in this interactive, immersive workshop (during Insights 2010 or in regional
workshops) on how to make customer experience a differentiating element for your business. If
you haven’t already done so, now is a great time to learn more. Participate and you’ll hear what
Sage is doing to transform our business culture into one that is customer driven. We’ll discuss how
we can collectively improve the customer experience we provide to our mutual customers. If you’re
concerned about to create a better customer experience for competitive advantage, we encourage

organizational excellence through effective human resource systems. Before founding his consulting
firm, Hansen was vice president and business development consultant for Great Plains Software
where he created and led the company’s organizational development consulting services.
Session Abstract: Modern science has confirmed the ancient understanding of the universe;
everything is energy. Leadership is, therefore, about acquiring, conserving and utilizing that energy.
In other words, Leadership is about energy management. This seminar will introduce the participant
to the Energy Management Model. It will offer new awareness and insights into the challenges
of effective leadership. This approach moves beyond a focus on skills or techniques. Instead, it
advocates a focus on the maturity and the functioning of the leader. In an age of toxicity, reactivity
and gridlock, Howard and Steve offer a fresh, imaginative and provocative approach that is highly
relevant, eminently useful and liberating to the leader.

partners on the art and practice of small business consulting. Ed is a frequent contributor to industry
publications, including the Journal of Accountancy and Harvard Business Review, and has spoken at
many conferences worldwide on project management, pricing, and knowledge workers.
Session Abstract: Singer Billy Joel recently posted a Q&A session he did in 1996 in which he
spontaneous invented a back story to Beethoven’s Third Symphony. It reminded me, how very
memorable improvisation could be. Then I got to thinking about this Super Sunday session for
Sage Summit. I could write an abstract which would fulfill the requirement but be so obtuse as
to mean absolutely nothing. However, I won’t insult you that way. Instead, I’ll tell you the truth—I
have absolutely no idea as to what I might talk about during this session in July. It would be
presumptuous to even try. I do promise it will be thought provoking and contain material that you
have not seen me present before. If you are interesting in suggesting topics for the conversation,
please email me at ed.kless@sage.com.
