Mother Earth cries out loud,

Why oh why am I being tortured?

Rubbish all over the ground, trees being chopped down,

What is going on over here?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today,we the members of the Little Green Sai Club,

Bid you all a very good morning,

We would like to share and present,

The great E, that is our beloved Environment,

That is currently under threat from various activities.

Take a visit to the nearby supermarket,

After the purchase of our favoured items, its time to pay for it..

After all the items have been scanned,

the dreaded object comes out from beneath the counter.

None other than….PLASTIC BAGS!!!

Not 1, not 2, but more and more, to accommodate for all the items…

Makes us carry back 10 plastic bags after every shopping activity.

Though we don’t think of the after effects of plastic bags…

More plastic bags thrown into the sea,

will cause it to be hazardous to the sea animals…

Death amongst fishes, very common indeed….

So sad! So sad!
Thus, with awareness going around,

Reducing plastic bags is our main motto,

Through the supermarkets and government’s initiative,

There are no more plastic bags used in shopping malls and hypermarkets,

And even if you really want it, you got to pay for it!

Bring paper bags, and store the items we bought in it,

Let’s all make a concrete effort to reduce usage of plastic bags!

Wow! Thaipusam celebrations was so awesome!

But, we fail to realize the amount of rubbish that has been accumulating,

And the sad part of it is,

The amount of Styrofoam packs that have been used and thrown,

Mankind has been warned from time to time,

That Styrofoam packs cannot degrade by itself,

and will remain hazardous to our Earth

Indeed a pitiful sight, but something must be done!

First step, we should all stop using Styrofoam packs to store our food,

Let’s all go back to the olden days of using Tiffin carriers or paper packs,

Now, we also have biodegradable packs made available,

And this would indeed be a great boon to mankind

To save Mother Earth from further pollution.

Recycle! Reuse! Reduce!

Famous words uttered over and over again,

More items being thrown away by humans, everywhere.

If we all can take steps to recycle these items,

there wouldn’t be a lot of rubbish everywhere!

Old clothes that won’t fit you anymore??

Why not donate it to the nearby orphanage?

Or let’s make something out of the old items,

Reduce usage of electricity and water…

This would indeed be a boon for the Earth,

Old newspaper! Old newspaper!

The cry of the newspaper vendor

Is always a common one in our neighbourhood

But how many of us actually recycle these papers?

Throw it here,throw it there,

These newspapers,which contain so much of information,

Are not being put to use.

Thus its time for the Little Green Sai Club

To take action,to put things back to place,

Let’s all use paper bags instead of plastic bags for marketing,

Making paper bags is as easy as ABC

And using them.my,my

We will indeed save our Beloved Mother Earth.

With all these methods in place,

The earth will be a better place to live in,

As our beloved Mother Earth tells us,

The Earth is crying out for help,

Let us all put our hands together,

To heal Mother Earth,

And to create a better world.
