MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

KNOWN TO ALL THESE PRESENTS:

This MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) was made and entered into

by and between;

Barangay Bubulong Malaki, a political subdivision under the Republic of the

Philippines, with office located at Bubulong Malaki San Ildefonso, Bulacan,
represented herein by its Punong Barangay HON. ADELA S. VIDAL, herein referred
to as First Party.

And

Edwin’s Junk Shop owned by MR. EDWIN M. CARAIG, with office located at Purok
Bucana Barangay Bubulong Malaki San Ildefonso, Bulacan, herein after referred to
as Second Party.

WITHESSETH THAT:

WHEREAS, RA 9003, or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000,

mandates that the Barangay shall be responsible for the collection, segregation
and recycling of biodegradable, recyclable, compostable, and reusable wastes;

WHEREAS, the parties hereto have mutual concerns and pledge their cooperation
in support of the Municipality of San Ildefonso’s Solid Waste Management Plan;

WHEREAS, recognizing the need to document the contribution of local junk shop
operators/ recyclers and increase the recycling ration within the Municipality.

WHEREAS, the Parties hereto warrant and represent that they are duly
authorized to enter and sign this agreement with the First Party empowered by
Sangguniang Barangay Resolution for such purpose;

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the above premises and the
mutual covenants hereinafter set forth, the parties hereto have agreed as follows:

1. SCOPE OF ACTIVITY AND OBJECTIVE. This agreement pertains to the

implementation of a monitoring system for all junk shops and waste
recyclers with the end view of determining the amount of solid waste
being recycled/reused in San Ildefonso.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES;

a. First Party:
The First Party shall liaise with the owner of Junk Shops
and Waste Recyclers in the implementation of the
monitoring system of the volume of wastes being
handled.

The First Party shall collect segregated wastes from

households and shall transport them to the Second
Party.

The First Party shall maintain a master list of all junk

shops/waste recyclers in their respective areas of
responsibility.

The First Party shall keep a record of the volume of

waste being handled by the Junk Shop/Waste Recyclers
in their respective areas of jurisdiction, and report the
same to MENRO.

b. Second Party

The Second Party shall keep a record of the volume of

wastes being handled daily, report the total amount at
the end of each month, and report the same to the First
Party.

3. DATE OF EFFECTIVITY. This Agreement shall be effective upon signing

of all parties and shall be in force effect not later than January 24,
2023.

 And, that the office of the Punong Barangay is giving a Permit to Operate a
SMALL SCALE JUNK SHOP for a period of January 1, 2023 up to end of her term.

This MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT was signed and agreed upon this

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto affixed their signatures on the same
date and respective places mentioned above.
