Common Architecture

All ITS’ TMN applications are based on the same standard architecture that can be used in both, X.25
and IP DCN environment.

The architecture includes the following components:

• Application Server

• EWSD command server XTTG (product of ITS)
• EWSD file transfer server (third party SW, e.g. openFT, DECnetPlus, etc.)

Traffic Measurement Analysis System (TMAS)

System for automatic processing and statistical analysis of TGRP, GOS, DEST and C7LLOAD traffic
measurements on EWSD exchanges for following APS versions: V9, V11, V14, V15.

Log file Viewer for EWSD (LoVE)

LoVE product provides an overview for all of the commands executed on Siemens EWSD wire-line
switch (entered by local or remote users) and corresponding outputs. Special log files are created on
each EWSD wire-line switch and retrieved by LoVE.

Features:

• Provides spreadsheet-like view of the entered commands and responses

• Provides a detailed (EWSD-like) view of a command and the response for the selected command
• Provides advanced filtering in the preview screen (by: exchange name,
terminal, user, command, date, time and command status)

TNDL Automatic Update (TAU)

Solution for automatic update of TNDL (TeMIP Network Data Loader) files and loading of data into
TeMIP.

Features:

• Performing REGEN procedure for TeMIP needed files (E7, SQ, TQ, TU)
• Performing some needed EWSD commands and logging the output

• Getting TeMIP data by performing

    TeMIP proprietary commands

X.25 to TCP/IP Gateway for EWSD (XTTG)

The XTTG product act as a gateway between Siemens EWSD wire-line switch, connected via X.25
protocol and a ITS’ TMN application server, connected via TCP/IP protocol. It serves as a server to
ITS’ TMN applications (such as TMAS, FTTools, IMS, etc.), providing formalized communication be-
tween an EWSD switch and the ITS’ TMN application. The XTTG takes care about the X.25 and TCP/
IP protocols, EWSD applications, login procedures (including password expiration), EWSD command
input, EWSD command response output, and other issues.

Features:

• Handles communication when the XTTG is connected to more EWSD wire-line switches via a X.25 DCN
• Handles communication when the XTTG is connected directly to a single EWSD wire-line switch via IP DCN

• Handles procedures for login to

    EWSD (including automatic
    password expiration and changing)
• Handles more than one client
    (TMN application)
• Handles redundancy issues
• Handles security of the data
    transmitted between the XTTG
    server and the ITS’ TMN
    application server by AES
    128 bits encryption.
