Next Stop Christmas 2007!
It has been an absolute landmark year or athletes training out o Talisman Centre. Highlightsinclude Erica Morningstar, a Calgary Patriots Swim Club athlete, capturing three gold medals and onesilver medal at the National Swimming Championships hosted at Talisman Centre (just missing improvingon her current 100m reestyle record!). In the international arena, the Men’s National Water Polo team,who train out o Talisman Centre, picked up bronze at the Pan American Games in Brazil. Blythe Hartley,two time World Champion and Olympic medalist diver, is on track training hard to achieve her dream o Olympic gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Not to be outshone, our own members and employees havecompeted at all levels and achieved tremendous success. Kickboxing master Darren Robson is the currentCanadian Super Featherweight champion. Camilla Spackman and Wendy Nelson were gold and silverwinners respectively in the Hal Ironman Provincial Championships held in Calgary. And there are manymore unsung heroes that I haven’t mentioned. Hats o to all o you!In a ew months we will be entering into 2008 and celebrating our 25th anniversary! We have really ocused our eortson improving and enhancing these requests over the past six months. Our employees have a renewedcommitment to making Talisman Centre the ultimate place to belong.
