Orthorectification and Geometric Correction

FACT SHEET

The Geomatica® orthorectification and geometric correction technology gives you the power to convert
imagery into geographically-accurate forms. Corrected images, often called orthoimages, can be
accurately integrated with other data to provide a wealth of spatial information. Orthoimages can be
directly applied in GIS or mapping applications such as: land use and land-cover classification, terrain
analysis, natural resource mapping, image backdrops for maps, temporal-change analysis, multi-image
fusion, and image-map fusion.

PCI Geomatics is an industry leader in providing accurate, efficient, robust, and affordable
orthorectification solutions. Geomatica OrthoEngine provides multiple orthorectification and geometric
correction solutions for a wide variety of data, including traditional satellite imagery, high-resolution
satellite imagery, Radar data and aerial photography. Geomatica also provides a wealth of productivity
improvement and automation tools that ensure maximum efficiency for your workflows.

Automated Workflows
New to Geomatica 10 is the ability to automate
orthorectification workflows. Processes that were
previously available only through GUI workflows,
such as project creation and definition, GCP
collection, bundle adjustments, and orthoimage
generation, are now available through both visual
and command-line scripting environments. All
