OVERVIEW
I have been working as a freelance creative arts & media consultant since
2001. Over the years, I have assisted in the implementation and
development of creative communication strategies for small to medium
businesses across the country.

deadlines.

to develop cutting-edge and innovative promotional materials and social

As a (casual) broadcast operator, I was required to broadcast live audio


recordings for televised Senate estimates and public hearings.

Duties include:
 Operation of the public control panel for live audio broadcasting
(including assisting in preparations and shutdowns) to assist in the televised
broadcasting of public address and recordings of Parliamentary proceedings
at the Parliament House, Canberra
 Conduct telephone connections of phone conferences for remote
witnesses to appear before the Committees at proceedings.

Position: Senior Writer/Producer
Timeframe: October 2006 – January 2007

As a (temporary) senior writer and producer, I was required to copywrite and


produce television commercials for the television network.

Duties include:
 Meeting with clients to develop commercial content
 Research and develop content, including writing scripts and design
visual aid
 Manage tight budget
 Seek approvals from regulatory bodies and authorities
 Film commercials working with tight and often uncompromising
deadlines for broadcast
 Liaise with editor for final cut
 Operate autocue for live televised news coverage

Timeframe: March 2005 – November 2006

At the time, I was working across three branches at the organisation: as a


training officer, a policy & project officer and a project officer for a youth
