its candied ballot earrings as truculent trinkets
as wherefore’s harbingers taste the scattered spoon
its gypsum thread turns moss at the very last
memories of the eaten before their bloody crucible
wastes the flavors of belated essence, favoring
in steadfast irony the breaded glitches that wastrels
spread across homilies that lag in their pursuit
of crowing seasons where egos harvest mirrors
that echo their land of aching platitude seizures
while dreading patches of thirst. They relay
their heads to crossed sandwiches, souls stapled
under toothpick wedges, dotting their chamomile
legends with jurors seeking out lurid displays
of dressing. Variables peruse the matter, climbing
taller scalpels for higher futures undercut
at a pencil’s tainted leisure. Wary old forceps
tweeze new births of old ideas incarnate
yet again, as forever, wasting their search for where.
