Question for Dyad Sharing: - Why is the New Testament considered as the greatest book ever written? - What is the Good News of the New Testament?

Who are the four evangelists (Gospel writers)?

-a tax collector before becoming an apostle - He wrote down his memories of Jesus so that others who did not know Jesus would be able to hear his message. - His book is called The Gospel according to St. Matthew.

- a disciple of Peter - Mark listened as Peter told the people about Jesus. - Mark wrote down Peters account and his version is called The Gospel according to St. Mark.

- a doctor - a special friend of St. Paul. - listened to Paul as he preached to the people. - Luke wrote The Gospel according to St. Luke, and The Acts of the Apostles.

- the beloved disciple of Jesus. He wrote the fourth Gospel called The Gospel according to St. John.

In writing the Gospels, the evangelists share with us their faith and love of Jesus.

What do we need to do? - we celebrate the Word of God in the Mass. - we read the Gospels in the homes of Christians and in CLE classes.

What we pray for?


When we read theGood News, it is Jesus who speaks to us. So, we always pray, Lord Jesus, open my heart to your Word.
