Questions for Discussion: What was the dream of the man? What did he notice about the footprints? How was the Lord present in his life? Was the Lords presence always recognized by the man? Why or why not? What is the message of the story?

 We find the greatest and perfect sign of Gods love in Jesus words and actions. St Paul called Jesus the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15).

Jesus is TRUE GOD and TRUE MAN.

TRUE HUMAN: He is truly human like us in everything but sin. He is the Incarnate Son of God. He is Divine. He is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. In Jesus we meet God Himself. He is the greatest sacrament of God/ sign of God because He is God with us.

The parables and miracles of Jesus are signs of Gods love for us. He used parables in order to teach us and show us His Fathers love for all.

The Healing of the Blind Beggar Luke 18:35-43

Jesus Christ is the LIGHT. He came to give us Gods light to reveal to us Gods love and His will for us.

The Healing of a Paralytic Matthew 9:1-8

Jesus Christ is the WAY to God the Father. Jesus is a bridge to the Father, always pointing people to a deeper relationship with God. When we follow Jesus, we are led to the way of love, peace, forgiveness and joy.

The Cleansing of a Leper Luke 5:12-14

Jesus Christ restores us HEALTH. Leprosy represents sins which only God can cure through forgiveness. Jesus restores us to health by forgiving us and restoring our healthy relationship with God.

The Healing of a Deaf-Mute Mark 7:31-37 Jesus Christ speaks the TRUTH of GODS WORD. He speaks words of comfort to the suffering and forgiveness to the sinners.

The Raising of the Officials Daughter Mark 5:21-24, 35-43

Jesus Christ gives us ETERNAL LIFE. He is the Resurrection and the Life, the source of everlasting life.

Jesus continues to show Gods love for us until today. We can still feel His love through the help of the Holy Spirit in the signs and symbols that we see.

1. In the Sacraments
Christ continues to forgive, heal, guide and nourish us through the sacraments. These are grace-filled signs and symbols.

2. In His Word
Jesus speaks to us through the Bible. The Bible is the greatest book ever written. God speaks in the Sacred Scriptures through men in human fashion. In other words, God talks to us through the Bible.

3. In the Church
The Church is the family of God gathered in Jesus name. When people come and pray, worship and celebrate as a family gathered in love and unity, Christ is present.

4. In People
Everyone is an image and likeness of God. In everyone dwells the Holy Spirit. We see Jesus in every person.

5. In the events of our life Jesus continues to speak to us, guide and teach us through the events of our life..

Sometimes, we are like the man in Footprints in the Sand. We ask whether we can see Him or not. Yet, we use the eyes of faith to recognize the presence of Jesus in our life.

Christ sent the Holy Spirit to be with us till the end of world and to help us see Jesus in signs and symbols.
