The lntuitive Notions of Mathematical Concepts

The teaching of measuring skills should be done practically. Children need to be provided with hands-on experiences related to measurement. Specifically, the
major mathematical skills that they need to master are:

To compare two quantities directly. To recognize non-standard units and standard units for measuring quantities. To estimate and measure quantities in non-standard and standard units. To convert between standard units of measurement.

To pedorm the arithmetic operations involving measurement in standard

units.

To solve daily problems involving measurement in standard units.
