We

are members of the four Illinois Education Association unions on the SIUC campus; we represent 3400 employees. We are teachers, researchers, support staff, and graduate assistants. We have been working for 382 days without contracts. On April 28, 2011, all four of our union presidents filed an intent to strike so we are all under a strike watch.

Labor School Day


August 20th 2011 Uncle Sam, the Faculty Association, and our Sister Unions, the Association of Civil Service Employees, the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Association, and Graduate Assistants United want YOU to attend Labor School Day at the IEA Carterville Office Saturday, August 20th, 2011. Labor School starts at 8:30AM and ends at 3:30PM. Coffee/Tea, Refreshments, and Lunch will be provided.
