PREAMBLE:
‘The acquisition of lands under the Land Acquistion Act, 1894 stars with a preliminary notification issued under section
4(1) of the Act which indicates that a particular place ofthe land fs needed ors ikely to be needed for public purpose. This is then
followed by a final dectaration under section 6 of the Actin respect ofthe land specfod in the aforesaid notification. As of now all the
above process including iesuing of notifications is being done manually. This s ruling ina stuaion where the RTC in respect of
Acquited land many a time does not get updated in favour of acquiring body and continues o be in the name ofthe land owner.
Government vide circular rferred above has now advised to use the computerised system for the Land Acquisition
Process, where the software takes care ofthe entire process of Land acquisiion Le. from the preliminary 4(1) stage tothe final
award disbursal stage and the ination of acquisition process would reflect in column 11 of RTC. The district administration has put
in place the computerised system in The Land Acquistion Officer and Assistant Commissioner, Chickballapur Sub-division, Land
‘Acquistion Office of Chickballapur Distt. The Depuly Commissioner through a formal order has to start the computerised Land
‘Acquistion process at The Land Acquisition OMficer and Assistant Commissioner, Chickballapur Sub-dvision, Land Acquisition
