NEWPREFACE
It is now over a decade since The Political Soldier: A Statement was first published, and close comradesbelievethatthisneweditionmeritsanewPrefaceaswellasanewcover.Sobeit. ThemoreorlessinstantsuccessofThePoliticalSoldierinnationalistcirclesinEnglandhas,much totheimmensesurpriseoftheauthor,continueddowntothepresentdayandanewgenerationofThird Positionists. This success has not been confined to England, but has found its way to those countries wheretheforcesofRevolutionaryNationalismhaveforeseentheneedforthistraditionalconceptionof Life and Struggle; and 1994 will witness this spread to both France and Lithuania, the latter being particularlygratifyinginthelightofdevelopmentsinEasternEurope,andthesuccessofthePolishedition publishedinWarsawin1993. The text of this reprint has not been altered in any way at all. It was, of course, tempting to update here and there, but on reflection it became obvious that such an updating could only affect details:inflationmightbeupordown;unemploymentgrowingorreceding;governmentpartiescomingor going. But none of these details change in any meaningful way the essential message of The Political Soldier:thatwhatisneededaboveallelseisafundamentalshiftinattitudetowardsstruggle,towardslife, towardsdestiny;thattherecannotbe,andwillnotbe,anyseriouschangeintheoveralldirectiontaken by the countries of Europe until the New Man, like a giant on the horizon, capable of moulding and inspiring a New Social Order, arises and builds it not according to the clauses or sub clauses of some abstractpoliticalmanifesto,butaccordingtotheobjectivelytrueprinciplesofacreedbelievedandacted upon, and drawing their life from the Eternal Law of God. Without this core belief that our Cause is absolute,immutable,timeless,weruntheveryrealdangerofbetrayal:betrayalbyPartyhacks;betrayal bythosetakenupwith"mediaimage";betrayalbythosemesmerizedbythedeceitandfalsityofliberal democracy. TheNewMan,therefore,isnotmerelyanobstacletobetrayal,but,infact,theonlyalternative toaguaranteedbetrayal.TheNewManistheheraldoftheNewSocialOrder,buthisappearanceatthis mostcrucialoftimesinourHistory,isbynomeansaforegoneconclusion.Toomanythink,wrongly,that they can adhere publicly to our values, yet lead a private life of degeneracy; by this is meant not our tendencytosin,butrathertherefusaltoadmittheexistenceofSininourlivesandtoattempttoconquer it through painful, lifelong struggle. Without this consciousness of sin, and with the contradiction that existstoooftenbetweenourpublicbeliefsandourprivateactions,weenteruponthepathofhypocrisy thatnecessarilyleadstothemotorwayofTreacheryandBetrayal.TheNewManis,therefore,necessarily amoralman,foronlythendoeshepossessthatprofoundinnerpeaceandconfidencethatallowshimto fighttheworld,itspowersanditsdominations,unafraidofDeath. SomehavesaidthatThePoliticalSoldierappearstobedemandingthecreationofWarriorSaints. And so it is. What is the problem with that? No one doubts for a moment that tremendous effort and dedicationarerequiredtofulfilthisdemand,butitisawhollydesirableobjective,foraSaintseeksEnds thatareGoodandTrue,andusesMeansthatarePureandAdmirable.Whatkindofpoliticalmilitantisit thatdoesnotseektheGoodandtheTrue,thePureandtheAdmirable?Someremarkthat,"Politicsistoo dirty",forthistobepossible.Grantedthatpoliticallifehasbecomeviletoahorribledegreeinthemodem world,itremainstrue,nonetheless,thatifwedonotaimfortheGoodandtheTrue,thePureandthe Admirable,wewillalmostinevitablyendupsinkingintothecesspitofpoliticalfilththatissuffocatingour Page2

Europeaninheritance.Whocanlistento,orfollowinfaith,politicalswholie,cheatorswindle;politicals who cheat on their wives, girlfriends and comrades; politicals whose Ends vary according to their ambition,opportunismandgreed?TheNewManmust,therefore,shineoutlikeablazingbeaconinthe infinitedark;bywhathesays;bywhathedoes;byhowheacts. Nowhere is the need for clarity of Thought and Action greater than in how we express our beliefs. The very first edition of The Political Soldier was published under the auspices of the National Front,agroupthatthewriterquityearsago,andwhichhastoallintentsandpurposesdisappearedfrom thepoliticallandscapeofthecountry.Deogratias.ItdisappearedbecauseitconfusedtheIdeaandthe Vehicle.TheIdeaisspiritual,somethingdivine,whilsttheVehicleismanmade,growingordiminishingin itsabilitytoexpressandimplementtheIdea.TheIdearemainspure,evenwhentheVehiclehasbecome corrupt,hasrottedaway.TruthremainsforeverTruth,eveninaworldofliars.TheVehiclemerelyexists toservetheIdea;onceithasceasedtodothat,itmustbediscardedforthesakeoftheIdea. Finally,letusaddressourselvestothefactthattheworldhaschangeddramaticallyinthelastten years.TheoldSovietUnionisapparentlydead;Euthanasia,thedesiretokilloldpeoplebylaw,isedging towardsvictoryinanumberofEuropeannationalParliaments;AIDSisstrikingdownpervertstheworld over,therevengeofaMoralOrdertoolongsneeredatorignored;theNewAge*movementistryingto fillaworldwidespiritualvacuumwithahocuspocusphilosophyoflifewhichisnomorethanWitchcraft and Satanism dressed up as a new and attractive Way of Life. Yes, the world has changed, and will continuetochangefortheworse.Itisgrowingdailymoreunacceptable,dailymoreunbearable. ItisthisveryprocessofdisintegrationanddecadencewhichhasmadetheNewMan,thePolitical Soldier,notless,butmoreurgent,morenecessarythaneverbefore.TruthandRightValuesarenotnow merelydisappearingfromview,butarebecomingincomprehensibletogrowingnumbersofourpeople: the inevitable consequence of a world soaked in the poison of Liberalism of all kinds. If the Political SoldierdoesnotstandupandproclaimtheTruth,doesnotpointouttheRightValues,whowill?What futureforourfamilies,forournations,ourculture? Themoderntyrantisevilbecauseofhiselusiveness.Heismorenamelessthanhisslave.Heisnotmoreof abullythanthetyrantsofthepast;butheismoreofacoward. ~AllThingsConsidered(G.K.Chesterton) Wherever we look today amongst the nations of Britain and of Europe, we see mounting evidenceofdisintegrationandofdecay.Theevidenceisthereforalltosee;itisincontrovertiblefact. On the political level, we find that the worst type of individual, the selfseeking and mean of spirit,hasrisentotheleadershipofEstablishmentpartiesandstructures,andinsodoing,hasguaranteed that government throughout Europe, fromLisbon to Leningrad and from Belfast to Belgrade, hasmade corruptionandtreasonawayoflife.Politiciansandpartybosses,caringnothingforthepeopletheyclaim torepresent,areliningtheirownpocketsbysellingouttheircountrymentopoverty,todegradationand to hostile, foreign interests. In our land, the Thatchers and Kinnocks, Owens and Steels, are junketing aroundtheworldatourexpense,receivingtheadulationofadeceitfulmedia,whilstBritainslowlybut surelybleedstodeath. On the economic front, our people are being constantly reassured that the world recession is drawing to a close, yet for those with memories that go back further than last week's episode of CoronationStreet,itisafactthattheTorieshavebeenpeddlingthischeapliesincetheyfirsttookoffice in 1979. Unemployment is still continuing to rise sharply from one year to the next and no amount of cynical manipulation of the figures by the Civil Service bureaucracy can hide the fact that the lives of nearlyfourmillionpeople,ourpeople,arebeingdestroyedbydolequeuehumiliation. It is a fact that most orthodox economists regard 10% unemployment as the threshold above whichdiscontentandstrifedevelopbystagesintocivildisturbanceandrevolutionaryupheaval;asIwrite nearly14%ofourpeoplearewithoutajob. ThecountrythatNapoleondescribedearlylastcenturyas"anationofshopkeepers"nolonger exists,havinggivenwaytosupermarketsandhypermarkets,nationalandmultinationalcorporations.The figuresforthefinancialyearendingApril1984revealedthatover12,500firmswentbankrupt,thehighest figureeverinBritishhistory.Andthepictureforthecomingyearsisnobrighter. The gathering financial crisis, highlighted incessantly by the media, has seen decrepit old men fromtheI.M.F.andtheWorldBankrushingtoandfroacrosstheglobetoinaugurateyetmoretalksand whilsttheywilieronwithoutendourcurrencyisbecomingworthless.Themediademandsthatwetoo shouldbeconcernedforthefateoftheworldbankingsystem;thatweshouldworryaboutasystemthat hasdestroyedthelivesofmillionsofEuropeans;thathascondemnedallpeoplesandculturestogrinding poverty; thathas ransacked and plundered the resources andtreasures of a beautiful creation.We are meanttolamentthedemiseofasystemthatpossessestheMidastouchofDeath. The social impact on our people of this political and economic decline has been catastrophic. Fewernewhousesmeanthatseveralmillionofourcountrymenarelivinginhousesnotfitforanimals,let alonehumans;unemploymenthasseverelydistortedfamilylifeleadingtomoredivorces,moreabortions, more childbattering, more suicides. In an effort to escape this nightmare, Britons have turned in huge Page6

numberstodrink,drugsandgamblingas"asolution".Youngpeopledeprivedofajob,ahomeandalittle selfrespect have sought an answer in innumerable 'anti Establishment' groups and cults, much to the pleasureofourpoliticalmasters.WhilstWhiteSkinheadsarebeatingthehelloutofWhiteModsorWhite HellsAngels,theWestministertyrantsaregoingabouttheirbusinessunimpededdestroyingourcountry. Butitisspirituallythatourpeoplehavesufferedthemost.Nolongerbelievingferventlyinthe supernaturalorthedivine,theyhavebeenleftpreytothemanipulationofconmen,quacksandlatter dayWizardsofOz.Mantobetrulyhealthymustbebalancedmateriallyandspiritually.Itisnotenough foramanmerelytofeedhimselforhavearoofoverhishead.Hemusthaveareasontolive;hemust know why family life is vital; why the bloodline must be perpetuated; why the Common Good of the British peoples must be protected; why we must ensure that our Nation and Culture survives and prospers. Thismaterialandspiritualbalance,whichourforefatherspossessedintegrally,nolongerexists. WhenwelookatthegreatcathedralsthataretobefoundthroughoutEurope,andbuiltmanyhundreds of years ago, we are overawed by their immensity, their complexity, their beauty, but their principal importance goes beyond mere masonry and into the realms of spirituality. Our forefathers possessed Strength,VisionandFaithandthosequalitieswerelovinglyinscribedintostonethatwouldwithstandthe elementsforathousandyears,andwouldspeaktotheirheirsinauthoritative,profoundtones.Ourage knowsnothingofthisplaneoflifeand,symbolically,demonstratesitsutterincomprehensionbybuilding inbreezeblocks,amaterialthatdoesnotlastandisnotmeanttolast.Itepitomizesthespiritofthisage, anagewhichlivesforthemomentandwheretheword"instant"reignssupreme.Asaresult,ourpeople have become soulless, unhappy, frustrated and even dehumanized in some respects. Noone wants to helpothersunlessthereissomethinginitforhim;noonewantstogetinvolved;noonewantstotake responsibility.Buteveryonewantsaneasylife;everyoneseekstheirownselfishends;everyonewantsto taketheeasywayout,andiftheeasywaymeansthatourfamily,communityornationallifewillsuffer thatisheldtobeacceptable.ItiswhentheIndividualmakeshimselfavirtualgod,wheneverythingmust fitinwithhimandtohellwithothers,thatyouknowthatanationissickanddying. Thesefactsandmanymorepollution,thearmsrace,diminishingnaturalresourcesaddupto onefrightfulconclusion:thecultureofEuropeisgoingtodiewithinourlifetime.Idonotmeanthatfor 50, 100, or 200 years that we won't play a very prominent role in world politics and that then we will probablywitnessarevival.ImeanquitesimplythatasthemightycivilizationsofancientGreeceandEgypt havepassedawayintothesandsoftime,nevertoreturn,sowillours.ThedeathofEuropewillsignalthe end of the White peoples forever: it will be goodbye to you, your family, and your friends. Britain will becomeavague,unimportantmemory. Letusnotfoolourselves.Thefighttoreversethissituationisgoingtobeextremelyarduousand not a little thankless; arduous because the enemies of civilization are not going to release their strangleholdonusuntilweforcethemtodoso;thanklessbecausenoonewantstobetoldthatatidal waveofcatastropheisloomingthatthreatenslifeitself.Ourpeoplesticktheirheadsinthesandandkid themselves that everything will be alright in the end. Unfortunately for such people, we live in a real worldwherehappyendingsarenotautomaticallywrittenintothescript.Therearenofairygodmothers whoaregoingtorushtoouraid,wavetheirmagicwandsandmakeeverythingperfectagain.IftheBritish peoplesaretosurvive,theywillhavetofightback.Iftheyarenotwillingtodosotheyhadbetterstart prayingforaquickandmercifuldeath,fornothingelsewillavailthem. PARTTWO:THENEEDFORTHEPOLITICALSOLDIER.
WhenaNationrisesupardenttofightforitsfreedomandhonour,itisalwaysaminoritythatreallyfires themultitude. ~TheDeclineoftheWest(OswaldSpengler) AttheforefrontofthebattleagainsttheforcesofEvilswampingtheentireglobeinanoceanof Filth, Corruption and Treason are the various Nationalist movements of Europe. In Britain the only organizedforceistheNationalFront,butevenitmadequitefundamentalerrorsintheSeventiesabout what was necessary to redeem our country. Discussion was always about whether we should have a marchhereorthere;whetherweshouldfightthiselectionorthat;whetherwecoulddosomethingto improveour'image'.Thesediscussionswereaboutasusefulasarguingwhocouldhavewhatdeckchairon theTitanic!Certainly,ournamebecamebetterknown,thoughothermethodswouldhaveachievedthis too;itremainsthatallourtime,moneyandenergydidnotstopthearrivalofonesingleimmigrant;itdid not stop the closure of one single factory; it did not stop the rape, physical and spiritual, of our Motherland. Our failure was simple, but crucial. It was and is not policies or doctrines or activities that we needimportantthoughthesethingsareintheoverallpoliticalschemeofthingsbutaNewTypeofMan whowilllivetheNationalistwayoflifeeveryday,whowillactasabeaconandaninspirationtothose fellowBritonsaroundhimwhodespairofoursituation.Theotherdiscreditedpartieshavebeenoffering policies and doctrines to our people for generations, but to what effect? To the average Briton, why shouldtheNFhavebeenanydifferentfromtheothers?Ifwearetosucceedwemuststriketotheheart ofthematter:ourpeopleneedasanexamplesomeonewhopracticeswhathepreaches.Thatexample wecallthePoliticalSoldier. JustwhatisthePoliticalSoldier? IfwelookatthehighestperiodsofEuropeanhistory,wecaneasilyidentifythetypeofmenwho embodyorexpressthespiritthatournationsodesperatelyneeds. InancientGreecethereweretheSpartans,anaustere,highlydisciplinedpeoplewhohavegone downinhistorymainlybecauseoftheirheroicstandatthebaffleofThermopylae.Itwasherethat300 Spartans,ledbytheirWarriorKing,Leonidas,tookon100,000PersiantroopsundertheEmperorDarius; farfromcringinginfearatsuchenormousoddstheSpartansproudlysangtheirbattleanthem,TheSong ofCastor,andthendiedtoamaninacrucibleoffireandblood.AlthoughtheSpartanslost,itistheythat Historyremembers. In ancient Rome, it was the Romancenturion whose military skills and commitment to Eternal Rome,tothePaxRomana,ledhimtobuildoneofthefinest,wellorderedempiresinworldhistoryand,as aconsequence,leftussomuchtocherishinourheritage. InmedievalEuropetherewastheChristianCrusaderwhosedevotiontotheidealsofAscetism andChivalrysoembodiedEurope,EastandWest,thateventoday'knightlyconduct'isregardedasahigh form of praise. These knights, a supranational community drawn from one culture, were described by

PopeUrbanIIasthose"readytohastenwhereverwarerupts,bringingtoitthefuryoftheirarmsinorder todefendHonourandJustice." InourcenturyperhapsthemostoutstandingexampleofPoliticalSoldierywastheRumanianIron Guard, the Legionary Movement, founded and moulded by the genius of Corneliu Codreanu. The spirit that this movement generated was so strong, so pervasive, that in its brief 15 years of existence it infectedanentirepeople.EventodaytheCommunistauthoritiesdenouncetheLegionaries,sofrightened aretheybyitsspiritualandinspirationalpowerapowerthatgrowsasthedrudgeryofMarxistEastern Europekillseverythingittouches. ButEuropedoesnothaveamonopolyonPoliticalSoldiersandallpeoplesandcultureshavethe potential to produce this type of man, each fitted to his peculiar circumstances. Take for example the IslamicRevolutionaryGuardsintheIranoftheMullahs.Itisnotnecessarytoagreewithanyoralloftheir aims to appreciate and respect their courage. Their belief in their Cause is so strong that they will run through minefields unarmed to attack enemy positions; their ideals are so all consuming that they will drivetruckbombsintoenemycampsknowingfullwellthatdeathisinevitable.Whethertheyarerightor wrongisnotatissue,butitisclearthatthispower,thiscontemptfordeath,isthestuffofwhichvictories aremade.ThispowerdrovetheYankeewarmachineoutoftheLebanonwhilstU.S.troopswerefighting forjobsecurity,awagepacketandapension,theiropponentsintheRevolutionaryGuardswerefighting foranIdeal,anindependentIranianIran.WemustlearnthatthepowerofIdealismisbeyondcalculation. WhenwelookatthefewexamplesthatIhavecited,onethingwillbeimmediatelyobviousto mostreaderstowit,thatallofthemarewarriors,militarymen.However,itwouldbeutterlywrongto believe that this aspect, the military, is the most important aspect, or even one of the most important aspects.Thecommondenominatorthatallowsallofthesementobeputinthesamecategory,despite theirmanifestdifferences,isthefactthattheywereinspiredby'aspiritualandreligiousidealthattotally dominatedtheirlives.NothingcamebetweenthemandtheIdeal.Theywerewillingtosacrificeanything and everything for the victory of their Ideal. If, for some reason, their Cause had been denied to them their lives would have ceased to have meaning, to have any importance whatever. They were fine warriorsbecauseaflameburnedwithin,afirethatcouldonlybeextinguishedwhentheydrewtheirfinal, mortalbreath.Itwasaflamethattheirenemiesfrequentlydidnotpossessorunderstand,butwhichthey fearedandrespected.Itisthatflame,thatburningspirit,whichwemustrekindleifourCultureistohave any future worthy of the name. If this proves to be beyond our abilities then all our material achievements, our science and technology, our intellectual grandeur will stand revealed as perfectly useless, for the most important thing in life is the Will to live. If this Will is absent in our people, no scientistandnogadgetrywillsaveus. ItisthetaskofthePoliticalSoldiertopromotetheWilltolivebyrevealingthetruenatureoflife asopposedtothematerialistnightmareofthiscenturywhichismistakenlytakentobe"life"andby living this life. In order to do this the Political Soldier must undergo a Spiritual Revolution, an inner revolution which guides, directs and pervades his life. When this has been achieved substantively the PoliticalSoldierwilljudgeallhisactionsaccordingtowhetherornottheyadvancetheCause.Hewillbe themanwhodoesnotsay:"Whatisinitforme?"butthemanwhosays:"WhatcanIdotohelp?"Forthis type of Man certain words will hold the key to the very meaning of Life itself: Honour, Justice, Self Respect,Honesty,Faith,Humility,Compassion,Love. Hewillnotallowhishonourorthatofthenationtobeattackedorunderminedbytheunworthy; hewillnotstandidlybywhenhispeoplearebeingexploited,butwillbecomeafocalpointinthefightfor justice.Hewillnotlosehisselfrespectandworththroughbecomingdependentonexternalslikedrugsor drink,forheknowsthatifhepossessestheInnerStrengththatsustainslifethenhewillbeinvincible.He willbehonestinallhisdealings,greatandsmall,becausetheNationalistMilitantleadsthroughexample. He will have total, unquestioned belief in the righteousness of his Cause; he will be the man who will strive to the limits of his abilities to advance the welfare of his People and Nation, but he will do this withoutanythoughtofpraiseorpublicity.Hewillremainhumbleknowingthathisactionsareamatterof duty inspired by a higher way of life. He will be stirred to action by the physical rape of our beautiful countryandthedestructionofourrichculture;hiscompassionwillbesuchthathewillcloaktheweak and needy of our nation with his towering strength. His love will be pure and refreshing, reviving and inspiringeveryoneandeverythingthatittouches. ThePoliticalSoldieristhemansustainedbyanEternalIdealwhowillactpositivelyinanyandall situationsinthedefenceofwhatisRight,GoodandTrue.NeverinthehistoryofEuropehastheneedfor battalionsofPoliticalSoldiersbeensourgent,sovital. The ranks of our enemies are immense: the banks, the Communists, the Freemasons, the Zionists, the Capitalists. They have money and power; they dominate the media; they control whole armies through their control of governments; they inject corrosive ideas into the bloodstream of the nationwhichenfeebleus,makeusapathetic,makeusapushover. And what do we have to combat this? A few thousand patriots in every country in Western Europe.Wehavenomoney,nopower,noinfluence,nomediatospeakof.WearetheSpartans,theFew. The plastic patriot, the bourgeois drone, ever so devoted to "England's green and pleasant pastures", but not so devoted that he wouldn't sacrifice his "patriotism"ifitthreatenedthe"respectability"accordedhimbyhisneighboursandfriends?Noneofus wants this combat,butduty calls. Thosewho refuse are quite simply cowards. The Political Soldier can respect his Enemy, but he can only despise the Traitor and Deserter. Having said that, the path of development is simple and logical in its structure. whole of Palestine be governed by its true inhabitants, the Palestinians. Any Treaty, any political diversion, which denies this principle in its integrity is necessarily unjust, and must be opposed by all thosewhoseekTruePeaceandJustice.

5.THEIDEALOFPOPULARRULE.
It is a core belief of the Third Position that harmony and peace within nations and between nations can only be truly attempted if each nation seeks to create an essential unity that transcends sectional or vested interests. For far too longthedestinyofnationshasbeentheplaythingofcorruptpoliticalparties,power cliquesandoutrighttyrants;itisnowmoreurgentthaneverthatthematerialand spiritualintegrityoftheNationandCulturecomesintoitsown.Itisthebeliefofthe ThirdPositionthatthisvitalunitycanonlybeachievedthroughtheimplementation of a thoroughgoing programme of decentralization, particularly in the political sphere where power continuestobecentralizeddaybyday.ThisprogrammeofpoliticaldecentralizationwecallPopularRule. In its essence, it is a system of selfgovernment by the people which starts at the level of the lowest sociallyviableunit,andextendsthroughaseriesoforganicallylinkedstructurestothenationallevel.Itis thedirectparticipationoftheentireadultpopulationinthedecisionmakingprocesslocal,regionaland nationalanddrawsitsstrengthfromthefactthattheentirepeopleexpresstheirwishesandhavethese acted upon by duly appointed delegates. However, the people themselves must act within the Moral Orderiftheirwishesaretobevalid;thatistosay,thepeopledonotmakethe"truth"byvoting,rather theirpoliticalactionsmustconformtoObjectiveTruth.IfthiswTheThirdPositionassertsthatallhealthy societies are built upon recognition of God's Law and the rights of Truth, and not upon the civil constitutions and Bills of Rights thathavebeen foisted upon usby vested interests striving to promote liberalismandrelativism.ItisforeseenthattheclearenunciationofMoralprinciplesbytheChurchwill assistthecitizenindaily,seculardutiestothebenefitofChurch,SocietyandIndividual.

6.RACIALANDCULTURALDIVERSITY.
Thatthehumanspeciesiscomprisedofapatchworkofdifferingracesandculturesisamatterof commonsense, and yet there are, incredibly, those who would destroy this richness and diversity in humanity in order to replace it with a rootless mass, lacking identity and history. In such a nightmare worldtheverywordsRace,NationandCulturewouldceasetohaveanymeaningatall.Inotherwords, thisforcedmultiracismisseekingtodestroythelivingsoilwithinwhichallpeopleshavetheirroots,their identity,theirbeing.TheThirdPositionrejectsanyandallattemptstoimposethisinhumanconformityon Mankind, whether it be advanced by slick television propaganda, or at the point of a gun. The Third Positioninsiststhatitisbothhealthyanddivinelyordainedthatpeopleshouldhaveagenuineloveand preference for their own kind; it likewise insists that this healthy instinct must be complemented by a sincererespectforthoseofdifferingraceandculturewhoactuponthesameprinciple.Asaconsequence, theThirdPositionsupportstheconceptofRacialSeparatismwherebydifferentpeoplesandculturesco operateinanatmosphereofrespectandunderstandingtotheirmutualbenefit,preservingoneanother fromtheabyssofmultiracism.Inthestruggletopreservehumandiversity,resettlementofracestotheir countriesoforiginwillplayamajorrole,andwilldirectlyaidthestruggletobuildamorepeacefulworld.

7.PRESERVATIONOFTHEENVIRONMENT.

Every sane individual, wherever in the world he may be, wishes to live in an environment that is both beautiful and healthy. GiventhatthemembershipoftheThirdPositionisdrawnincreasingly fromacrosstheglobe,itfollowsthatitiscommittedtoensuringthat allnationsandculturesacttopreservethebeautyandbalanceofthe world that we all share, to our mutual benefit. However, this desire doesnotnecessitatethecreationofallpowerfulglobalpolicebodies asecofanaticsandNewAgersadvocatebutratherthecreationofa real and genuine understanding between nations of one another's needs. The flora, fauna and great waterways of the world exist in a complexanddynamicrelationship,arelationshipthatallowsMankind toliveanddevelop.Itisclearlyintheinterestsofalltopreservethis lifegivingrelationship.Forthisreason,theThirdPositionaffirmsthat itwillactasabodytorestrainthedestructionofourcommonhome, whetheritbethroughthegreedofthecapitalistcorporation;themaniaforindustrializationofSocialism; therapacityoftheinternationalbankinghouses;orourwouldbemastersoftheNewWorldOrder.Man hastheprimacyoverNaturebydivineright,butthatprimacyisoneofstewardshipandhusbandry,and thepassingontofuturegenerationsofabetterworldthantheoneinherited.TheThirdPositionbelieves thatinasanesocialorderthereisavitalbalancetobestruckbetweenRuralismandUrbanism.Inandof itself,Ruralismisbyfarthehealthier,foritpossessesallthatisessentialtolife,butthisdoesnotdetract fromthefactthatacomplementaryurbanismmadeupofhamlets,villages,markettowns,centresof nonpolluting technological advance, light industry and research institutes can add much of use and benefit to human existence. This balance between Ruralism and Urbanism is held to be central to the worldviewoftheThirdPosition,foritdetermines,directlyorindirectly,somuchelseoftheprogrammeof theThirdPosition.

8.THEMENACEOFBANKERDOM.
No rational person could seriously deny that Money, the love of it and the scramble for it, dominatesthemodernworldinadegreehithertounknowninthehistoryofMankind.Increasingly,the veryrighttoexistenceofindividuals,families,communities,regions,nations and cultures is determined by an alleged "economic viability", as though MoneywasthesolestandardofimportanceinallthecrucialquestionsofLife. Inotherwords,Money,whichwasoriginallynomorethanausefulmeansof facilitatinglifeinanincreasinglycomplexsociety,hascometobetheJudgeof all things in Life and Society. Such a perversion of True Order has, not surprisingly, wrought misery and horror on a grotesque scale: cynically provoked wars; famines; pollution; genocide; grinding poverty; social manipulation; crass consumerism; youth suicide; widespread alcoholism; disintegratingfamilies.TheThirdPositionassertsthatMoneyisnothingmorethanalowlyservantofMan and Society, a servant that must be compelled to work for the Common Good of all, both within and betweennations.ItfurtherassertsthatsincethemodernBankingSystemispractisingthemostrefined usurytheworldhaseverknown,itfollowsthatwewillcampaignforitsdestruction,andreplaceitwitha social banking system based on Sound Money. As a result, all debt, be it domestic, national or international,whichspringsfromusurywillbecancelledwithoutcompensation,andthebankownerswill Page21

be compelled to make restitution to their unfortunate victims. The Third Position believes that InternationalFinanceisoneofthegreatestevilsofthemodernworld,andthusisintrinsicallyhostileto theprogrammeoftheThirdPosition.

9.ATHIRDPOSITIONONOWNERSHIP.
TheThirdPositionbelievesthatthereisamodeofownership inindustry,inagriculture,indomesticcircleswhichgoesfarbeyond theinhumanandunjustconcentrationwroughtbybothCapitalismand Socialism, and which apart from being preeminently practical is also perfectlynatural,andinaccordancewithhumannature.IntheEnglish speakingworld,thisalternativeisknownasDistributism,analternative developed and popularized by two fine English writers, Hilaire Belloc and G.K. Chesterton. This form of ownership occurs in an economy whichisdecentralizedtothesmallest,viableunitandthusresultsina plethoraofproducerandservicecooperatives,smallbusinesses,craft workshops, Guild structures, artisanal associations, small holdings, family firms and family farms. It is a mode of ownership which promotes individual initiative and creativity, and yet does so only within the framework of the Common Good. It is the natural conjunction of Individual Freedom with Social Justice. Given the total failure of Socialism, with its unnaturalbureaucracyandinefficiency,andgiventheexploitationandgrossinequalitythatresultfrom Capitalism's socalled "Free Market", it is evident that Distributism is going to be the socioeconomic creedofthetwentyfirstcentury.

10.NATIONALREVOLUTIONWORLDWIDE.
It is because the Third Position seeks to build a New Social Order that it recognizes that all peoplesandcultures,whoadheretothebasictenetsoftheThirdPosition,mustworktogethercloselyin anairofmutualtrustandsupport.SincethevictoryofaNationalRevolutioninonepartoftheworldisa victoryforallThirdPositionists,itfollowsthateachaffiliatedmembermustbepreparedtogivemoral, financial or technical assistance, where possible, should a revolutionary situation emerge in any given country. Parochialism in an age when the One World Ideology is striding to total victory is a complete negationofeverythingweprofess,andthusisvigorouslyrejectedbytheThirdPosition.
