AC/DC Charger: 1. Place the PoweR SoURCe switch in the oFF/CHARge position and the PoweR switch in the oFF position. 2. Plug the charger into the DC input of the unit and AC plug into a 110-V rated wall outlet. 3. The green LeD on the charger will turn on to indicate the unit is charging. 4. To avoid damage to the battery do not charge for more than 24 hours. Dynamo Charging: 1. Place the PoweR SoURCe switch in the oFF/CHARge position and the PoweR switch in the oFF position. 2. open the Hand Crank and rotate steadily clockwise at approximately 120 cycles/minute for a minimum of three minutes. 3. The green LeD on the charger will turn on to indicate the unit is charging. 4. Close the arm. Solar Charging: 1. Place the PoweR SoURCe switch in the oFF/CHARge position and the PoweR switch in the oFF position. 2. Place the unit outside with the solar panel facing the sun. 3. The green charge indicator light will illuminate during charging. Auxiliary Batteries (not included): 1. open the auxiliary battery compartment by unscrewing the door and install 3 C size batteries as indicated in the compartment. 2. when ready to use, slide the power source switch to AUX. OPERATION Using the PoweR SoURCe switch, select either oN to operate from the rechargeable battery or AUX. BAT. to operate from the C size batteries to operate all functions. Lighting operation: Flashlight Lantern emergency Flashing Lights only Move the PoweR switch to oN grasp the lens and pull to extend the lantern globe. Move the PoweR switch to oN Move the PoweR switch to BLINK/SIReN and the white LeDs and the red indicator lights will flash.

CHARGING For all methods of charging, place the PoweR SoURCe selector switch in the oFF/CHARge position or it will not charge the battery. If the unit has not been used for several months it is suggested that you recharge using the AC/DC charger to recondition the rechargeable battery. when planning to store the unit for a long period of time, please remove any C size batteries that may be installed.

Radio operation: 1. extend the antenna and adjust as needed to obtain the best reception. 2. Select either AM/FM or the weather band. 3. Turn the volume control dial clockwise to turn on and for volume control. 4. Tune to the desired station using the TUNINg DIAL. 5. Headphones (not included) may be plugged into the jack provided. Siren operation: 1. Move the PoweR switch to BLINK/SIReN 2. Turn the radio volume to oN 3. The lights will flash and the siren will sound.
